Best Western Plains Motel

The hot tub was lovely. The pool looked nice, though it was a cold night so we didn't get in it. Breakfast was great - with hot biscuits and gravy, eggs, and pancakes, plus a good selection of yogurt, pastries, toast, and drinks. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Oh yes, and the room shower was nicer than lots of hotels - big and bright and didn't feel sad.

It was night, cold, and super windy, and I hadn't looked hard enough at pictures to realize the hot tub/pool/breakfast area was in a separate building from the rooms. So we had a very brisk walk to and from the hot tub last night!

I was traveling solo on a road trip, this was a rest stop for a night. The room was clean and comfortable. a firmer bed was a definite plus for me. You’re only a couple blocks for the tourist trap area if you’re into that. More importantly, a gate to the badlands is only about 10 miles down the road. The staff were very accommodating, able to let me have a ground floor room when I was having a little trouble walking. I left town too early, but they do offer a full hot breakfast.

No real complaints

I loved this place from check-in to departure. They were friendly and helpful and welcomed my dog. There was a doggie patio on the property that was nicely done. The room was rather small but clean and well stocked. Easy access to the ice. Coffee and breakfast was in the pool room, good food and good coffee. But the part that really told me the owners cared was the stripping in the parking lot. They had done it so you wouldn't get a door ding and would be able to get unloaded or loaded easily even in inclement weather. I was so impressed.

The room was just a wee bit small. On the other hand every thing was within reach.

We arrived in the middle of the night and the staff had everything ready to go and room ready! It was clean, cozy, and the beds great! The next morning the breakfast/staff was great, house keeping and all of them had smiles on their faces and so welcoming and happy!

Nothing to complain about!

It was really close to the Badlands National Park and is also one of the first motel you could see when you pull into Wall. The staffs we're really friendly! They also have two pools which we didn't use, but I believe the indoor one is heated. They do have free breakfast but it wasn't that great. The cereal and drinks were ok tho.

The room didn't feel that clean, at least the bathroom part. The bathroom's vent is directly connected to outside, which is kinda cold during my stay. The bathroom floor also looked a little dirty.

For an older building, it was extremely well kept up. Modern furnishings, very comfortable beds, and spotless. No scratched furniture or spotted carpets. Everything was like brand new. Breakfast was good, too.

I do understand we were traveling in a tourist area around a holiday weekend, but I thought the room price was 15-20% high. I guess it's location, location, location.

The staff was amazing, kind, and respectful. The rooms were clean and pet friendly. Answered any questions we had and were very patient with us out of towners. Great location to their "Main St"

The breakfast was delicious. However, the space seemed a wee bit small for a full hotel occupancy, even when the extended seating was in the pool area.

Check-in process was very prompt. The room was the best setup for a family of six (one room with two queens, another room with a queen). We had a sweet welcome note from housekeeping.

There was a vague smell of smoke in the bathroom of a non-smoking room. It wasn't the cleanest feeling room.

Great facilities and breakfast.friendly and helpful staff. The whole town is walking distance if you like to walk.

There was a storm and our first floor room got water in the door. Carpet was saturated. They were very helpful and god it cleaned up. There was still a wet carpet smell unfortunately.

Our room was very clean and well decorated/updated. Check in was quick and easy. We were only 15min from the badlands and 5min from Wall Drug. We didn’t use the pools, but probably would have if we hadn’t been so tired. Definitely a great hotel for a one night stay heading through town :)

The breakfast was not great considering our 1-night stay was about $200. Frozen burrito, cereal, and granola bars. The gym needs updating—only a few pieces of equipment, one of which being a treadmill that didn’t work. Also, we tried to check out on our way out to the badlands early in the morning, but the reception didn’t open until 6:30am, which seems early, but not for travelers!
