Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dallas North - Addison, an IHG Hotel

Initially, I was supposed to stay at a Courtyard Marriott…A friend booked for me while I was having phone difficulties, she accidentally booked the wrong night so I paid a small fee to rebook, however when I got to the hotel … soaking wet… after dragging my luggage through the rain, and waiting 10 minutes because they were ‘short staffed’ … they refused to honor my new reservation, and told me I needed to cancel, then re-book. I decided wasn’t doing anything other than cancel.. then drove 2 blocks down to Holiday Inn Express after booking. Unfortunately, I booked right at midnight and it bumped me to the following morning for check in. I didn’t discover this until I got there, but instead of rudely turning me away, the 2 *very handsome* gentlemen and the woman they were very patiently training went out of their way to not only honor my room for the time I arrived… they upgraded me at no charge because of my poor experience at the Courtyard Marriott... and probably soaking welt clothes/luggage. 🤣 I couldn’t have gotten a better nights sleep. Someone there is a professional snacker, they had a pretty good variety of sweet/salty/sour treats! I will never stay anywhere else if the need arises again! Thank you again Holiday Inn Express - Landmark Blvd / Addison, Texas Sincerely… a previously exhausted and frustrated nurse/dancer/fitness instructor/model - explains the photo… 🤣 whom had been teaching and working all day, and was OVER IT ALL. 😍💙

Nothing… nothing at all.

The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Every morning we were greeted upon entering the breakfast area.

The air conditioner made very loud noises all week. The toilet wouldn’t flush. They sent the maintenance man in to fix it while we were gone. He fixed it for the time being. Then later that night it broke again and maintenance was off for the weekend. The nice lady at the counter did offer us another room for the night but unfortunately it wasn’t worth packing all of our stuff up and moving on our last night there.

The room was soooo spacious!! We loved it. There was even a little hallway between the room and the bathroom which was very convenient. A/C worked great, Wifi worked great, breakfast was basic but ok (althoug TOO EARLY, until 9:30!!), the beds were very comfy, staff was very friendly. There are so many restaurants, places to eat nearby. I even used their laundry/dryer, this is not common at all to have at your disposal in Europe so it was wonderful to be able to get clean clothes again during a long trip away from home. Location of hotel was very easy to find for uber drivers.

Window cannot be opened for proper fresh air (not really what you want during covid times). To use the washer/dryer, you needed an app..which is blocked on the European app store (was a hassle to fix this). Unfortunately, one thing that bothered us was: the room wasn't very clean (I had to clean my nightstand at arrival because it was full of dust and grease like cream) and the room does not get cleaned during your stay. However, you can ask clean towels at the reception. The bedsheets do not smell "freshly washed" so it feels all a little dubious in regards to their cleaning staff.

There was a weird smell at first in the room and bathroom… it did go away. Also, we didn’t leave until 12:45PM Saturday, but had expected maid Service and that didn’t happen. Possibly that was our fault, but we did pass the maid and she was very nice. She was cleaning the room next to ours. It all worked out.. we got extra towel. Everyone was nice.

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the hotel was. I know how housekeeping typically cleans only the areas people see or touches the most, but I go back and clean it myself. I went through that room with disinfectant wipes and did not have hardly anything on it. This is the first time this has happened. The beds were comfortable. Facilities were modern and updated. This by far exceeded my expectations.

Room was beautiful and breakfast tasted great & had several options to partake of. Receptionist desk workers were all very kind. Great location. Love that they have a pool and gym but did not experience using either on this trip.

The locks on our bathroom and hotel room door were broken, so anyone could have snuck in our room. The water pressure in the shower was low. The mini fridge wasn't keeping our items cold.

The staff was friendly and mostly responsive. The hotel was clean and updated.

I was informed from the staff upon arrival that I had to request housekeeping due to recent covid restrictions. I asked them to put daily housekeeping on schedule for me before I even checked in. That didn't happen the next day. I requested housekeeping the following morning and they came same day. I requested housekeeping again the following morning and the staff told me I had to wait until the next day to get housekeeping. There was no explanation given before that I had to request housekeeping 24 hours in advance and there was no indication given to me that my original request for daily housekeeping wouldn't get fulfilled. Overall, poor communication on how housekeeping is provided.

The only issue we had was one elevators floor felt like it was going to fall through. Everything else was perfect.

The hotel was super clean and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to leave. I especially loved the extra door that blocks the bathroom from the bedroom. It's great for the early riser to get ready without disturbing the late sleeper. It's in a great location only a 4 minute walk to Addison Improv and multiple restaurants. The hot breakfast in the morning was amazing. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Breakfast was good. Nothing out of the expectation of breakfast at a hotel. Location was great. It's walking distance from a lot of great places to eat.

Honestly, this hotel was fantastic. I normally stay at the Hilton Home 2 across the street. I'm so glad they were booked. I got the opportunity to stay at the HI. It was a great stay.

Lights, power plugs, USB plugs, air conditioning power, I'm a very electricity focused customer. Staff who checked me in when I arrived was pleasant and efficient.

Strange red stain on carpet in room, shower temperature handle not calibrated (peak temp was midway, not all the way, turned), breakfast was set up late.
