It was a great size room for the my daughters and I and our dog. We really enjoyed the breakfast, amenities, and the location was awesome. Everyone was so polite and helpful. There were restaurants, a coffee shop that was so cute and a museum at walking distance. I strongly recommend it.

I did not like that I was not able to see past the parking lot at night. I also did not like that I had to walk across the parking lot to take my dog to the restroom. It was inconvenient and a little scary at night. Usually this wouldn’t be an issue since our dog does not use the restroom in the middle of the night but she got sick during our road trip.

I liked the room and the facilities are incredible. very friendly for all ages. Pool was fun and nice. staff is very friendly specially the breakfast lady. Breakfast was ok, American style with quite good amount of options. Bed Linen of excellent quality.

Room service - cleaning was not provided on a daily basis only upon request and the receptionist forgot to tell us on our check in. For the price the hotel charged, I think it would be fair to have daily a room refreshments.

A Hidden Gem! Adorable property a few hundred yards from Nimitz/Pacific War Museum on Main Street (Easy walking to all the sites) Beautiful conversion from a “traditional motel” to a unique “boutique” hotel. Clean spacious rooms with a modern farmhouse feel. sliding mirrored barn door into a large bathroom with hanging space and long sink cabinet with plenty of room. Gilchrist and Soames toiletries (London) heavenly smells! Starbucks coffee in room, Microwave and mini fridge hidden behind doors under flat panel tv. Room with a view across the pool area. Resort pool area usually only found at expensive 4/5 star hotels. Stone pool buildings with huge fireplace and tv plenty of seating. covered seating areas. Warm pool and Steaming hot tub was perfect in our unfortunate 45/50 degree weather. Additional unheated pool with volleyball net. 2 fire pits for roasting s’mores (HEB and Walgreens minutes away) Property slopes down to a creek that raps around two sides of the property. Buildings facing Washington Street are original restored and maintained historical (1848) buildings and house the breakfast room, kitchen and dining room. Food is delicious, made and served in abundance. Texas shaped waffles, bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs, gravy, tacos, cereal, fruit, muffins and more. self serve soda machine. 24 hr access.

I had a chair in my room (2 would have been better) but would have liked a small dining table/work desk to go with it.

The size of the room was large & the bed was comfortable. Room decor & fixtures were updated. Also, included guest/room amenities such coffee pot, hair dryer and selected toiletries. Location is in walking distance to shops, restaurants and entertainment. Complimentary breakfast included. Also, if traveling with children there’s a pool. Also, picnic tables, cafe styled tables/chairs and outdoor areas for gatherings. The hotel staff was friendly, pleasant and gracious. It’s 2 levels. Stair access only to second floor. There are 2 views: pool side and parking lot.

Just remember to let guests know the housekeeping policies. We figured out if you need new towels to see front desk and bed is not made up daily. However, It was not an issue.

At first I didn’t expect much because of the being a motel, but once I got my room then walked the grounds I was amazed. Our room was clean and up-to-date. It had the usual hair dryer, iron, coffee pot, flat-screen tv, refrigerator, and microwave. I didn’t care for the tv guide though. The motel grounds are fantastic! There is a large wood fire place located between two pools. There are also two fire pits. All of these were lit every night we weee there. They brought out fresh towels as needed. The only reason I gave nine stars was because the large pool was supposed to be heated, but wasn’t. In the mornings, a free hot breakfast was provided. Also, this was all walking distance to Main Street. Overall an excellent stay. We’ll be back again.

This motel is always a winner in our book when heading to Fredericksburg. The size of the rooms are fantastic and the proximity to the main street is perfect. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. One big bonus that you don't find even in 5 star hotels is that they give you a bath sheet as opposed to a bath towel so it's nice and large! The pool area is fantastic and my son always enjoys swimming in it, especially at night with the slide. Breakfast is ample - a bit of a cluster with the flow of traffic and seating, but better than most motels provide food wise. We will definitely be back. The staff is lovely and always so helpful!

My only suggestion is there needs to be more outlets in the room so that you can plug a charger in - this is my only complaint.

Stayed for two nights. Very clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, perfect location off the main street but only a minute's walk to it and very nice grounds running down to Barton Creek. I think this hotel deserves to be rated at least one star higher than it is now. I would not hesitate to return there and recommend it most highly.

Nothing of real consequence, I just felt that six little square pillows on a double bed detracted from the beds overall comfort. A couple of conventional decent sized rectangular ones would have been so much better

The 2 queen room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. The Texas shaped waffles with syrup were delicious! Also the potatoes were very tasty. There 2 good sized pools and a hot tub. On a cold day, lots of people were taking advantage of the hot tub. The staff was friendly.

I guess my only complaint was the eggs. Not very satisfying. Made from a mix or something. I wish things were like they were pre-Covid when the maid came in and gave you fresh towels and emptied the trash.

Location was excellent being only 2 blocks from Main St & all the shopping and restaurants. Free breakfast was good and we especially liked the breakfast tacos, coffee & waffles. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bed linens were nice. Storage, closet and the room layout were great. Parking was plentiful.

The shower/toilet area is very small and it needs to be re-grouted and caulked. There was lots of mold & mildew. The A/C - heating filters were really dirty. The satellite on both TV’s cut in and out during our whole 5 night stay.

The hotel and room were clean and welcoming with plenty of towels and extra towels when using the pool and jacuzzi. Coffee and sodas were available from the reception area with no added cost. Breakfast was one of the best we have had over the last 2 weeks in Texas, large variety of hot and cold food. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night. The staff were so accommodating they allowed us to stay in the same room, even though the hotel was extremely busy.
