La Quinta by Wyndham Fredericksburg

The breakfast buffet was of good quantity and taste. We traveled with two dogs and there was plenty of space for them to walk and relieve themselves. There was a rather full trash barrel for the poop bags. The AC was cold and the coffee was hot. There are many places to eat along the same road that are a short drive away.

This is not a knock on the hotel property itself, but merely an observation that there were many inconsiderate pet owners there before us who did not pick up after their dogs. I do not know how often the property cleans up the area, so we may have just been there at the wrong time. While not excessive, one needed to watch one's step when walking a dog.

Our room was large, with a couch, & excellent mattress, & microwave/frig, very clean & comfortable. The water fountain outside changed colors, so pretty in the darkness. The indoor long fireplace is supposed to show either red or blue colors, but unfortunately it didn't while we were there. The location is perfect, quiet & feels safe, & is close to a Walmart.

Dogs are welcome, & given a doggie bone treat upon check in, great for owners, but I've been attacked/dogs, so am a bit jumpy. The small bottles of bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion seemed only part full, & were gone after 1st person showered.

I felt like I was “Home”! This was my second time to have a stay at the La Quinta in Fredericksburg! The staff is so cheerful, all the time. We had a Handicap room. Everything was great. However, I was disappointed about not having a freezer in the refrigerator. We managed around that issue. It was great to have time in the Spa, it helped those aches from driving. It was a delight to be staying in a room, with nothing broken, or dirty. Thank You for the best room on our 3 week trip!

The room was clean and large and cool. The bed was comfortable, large and firm. The tv was nice. The iron worked, as did the lamps and the numerous outlets. We stayed at at the Hampton Inn in another city the previous weekend and it surprised me that this La Quinta had nicer furnishings. I would stay here again.

The a/c was too cold and I turned it off because I when I raised the temperature, it reverted to a colder setting of 69. Additionally, the toilet flush was extremely loud. The breakfast was disappointing. OJ was unavailable at 9 am.

The staff was very nice. When asked, the "check-in" clerk gave recommendations for dining and the restaurants were wonderful. The room was larger than expected and I liked the position of the grab bar in the shower. I felt the facilities were very clean and the bed was comfortable.

The biscuits were served cold. We were told we could put them in the toaster but I didn't think that would work. The remainder of the breakfast offerings were typical.

Stay here was good. The staff is friendly and courteous. The breakfast was ample and fairly satisfying. Do not expect food to be like a restaurant it is mostly bagels, biscuit & gravy with sausage and eggs. Plenty of hot coffee, orange/apple juice. It is an ideal start to begin your day. Beds were okay but pillows were too lumpy. Bring your own pillows and you will sleep better.

Did find it to be a bit less clean. I expected more from LaQuinta/Wyndham properties. Found a bug on my bed and hair on sheet. Manager on duty did take care of the issue and offered another room. I forgot that pets are allowed at their properties. The good news is the situation was remedied and they gave me a discount for the stay.

Hotel and room was clean and comfortable. Location is just outside of the city, the Main Street of Fredericksburg is 5 minutes driving distance.

There is a hot breakfast but it’s pretty simple. The kids missed the whipped cream from the waffles, only sirup was provided.

The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The elevator broke down before check out and the staff was on it immediately. It took several hours to fix it but the staff stayed in contact with us as to when it would be fixed. We were on the third floor and because of a knee problem we could not take the stairs. Because we had to wait so long the manage adjusted the rate for us and gave us a discount.we would definitely stay here again. But we might ask for a first floor room the next time.

We loved this hotel! Easy to access.. just a few minutes from the center of town. Walmart next door. It seemed like a newer hotel. Super clean, modern decor. The bathroom was a normal size. The bed was a tad soft for me but overall very comfy.. my family loved the beds. We loved the full breakfast of eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, fruit, yogurt etc. and the best coffee! The staff was kind and courteous. Could not hear any noise from other rooms or hallway. The pool and hot tub area is open and was clean and well maintained. I will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable beds, good a/c and not too loud in room. Better than average breakfast. Great front desk and cleaning staff.

I would like to see all carpet removed from rooms. Also, duvet covers for the quilts. It is pretty much impossible to avoid coming in contact with the quilts and I’m assuming they are not washed after each guest. Duvet covers (such as seen in Germany) are easy to wash and would also eliminate the need for a top sheet and would speed up the time needed to prepare the rooms. But probably many Americans would find that strange and might object. I say try it and you will like it!
