Nice, non-corporate, family owned motel located near-but not on - Lake Granbury. Standard 2 story, outside hallway motel with ample parking. Large swimming pool-party area is a major focal point. Rooms are fairly large size with sufficient furniture. Small TV with low illumination made it hard to watch TV, but we weren't there for that, so didn't matter much. Refrigerator and microwave worked well, but coffee machine was missing the little plastic tray needed to put the coffee pack into, so we had to make coffee the way you make a cup of tea. Otherwise, things were good. Breakfast was standard fare but adequate. The room rate was less than the nearby name brand motel/hotels and this one was easy to access and exit the busy roads nearby. We asked for and were granted a Late Checkout, which was very helpful. Our dog was with us and cost $15 more a day, but that's less than most other charge. I would use it again for business or vacation travel.

The rooms on the inside of the two wings, those facing the pool and courtyard, do not have easy access from the parking area. However, it is a short walk around to the poolside walkways, so not a show stopper.

The room was spacious, as was the pool. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The sunset view was so striking even my 12 year old grandson was impressed and called his younger brothers to see it.

I found a couple of sheet metal screws in the parking spot next to mine. No big deal, I picked them up so no one would get a flat.

The location was great and the view was very nice. The staff was accesible and very helpful. Even though it was a last minute reservation, they accommodated us in the ground floor as we asked.

It was great, except there's no wheelchair accessible room and they have a step to access to the pool.

No breakfast on weekdays but an excellent place across the street that make up for it called the Firehouse Café. Try it! You'll Love IT! Friendly staff, exceptional food, great prices. Staff at the hotel reminds me of Petty Coat Junction (30 years later) after all the others moved away and only 3 of them stayed behind to mind the hotel. They keep it going. Second time we stayed there and believe it or not, it's improved, and the rates haven't gone through the roof like everyone else. We don't go there often (hardly at all) but the rates, location and well-maintained building make up for anything else in the area.

The location is not too far away from the town centre but, unfortunately, the road isn't very safe to walk as it's along a highway. There is, however, a shuttle service which the staff, very helpfully, explained to me.

I went in November and breakfast wasn't on every day due to the low amount of guests. I never actually had breakfast as it was only served between 7am and 9am but, as I was on holiday, I didn't get up most mornings until 9am.

I'm on a walker and there was room for me to get into the room. A/C worked great. We were pleased with the room. Very nice staff .

When we got there the tv remote wasn't working and the tv had a blue screen. One call to the office and the young lady came and fixed in minutes. The pillows could have been softer.

Continental breakfast was horrible. Very sparse. Not restocked during breakfast hours. If you went late there was basically nothing left.

Location is Great! They have a shuttle that runs to several locations downtown. The rooms are fairly large and has vinyl flooring.

Sheets had a few stains but it was clean.

The staff was great upon checking in very friendly and the room was very clean and cozy.

Could have had better lighting in the rooms need more then one wall light.

The texture on the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling off and falling to the floor and the price was a little higher than the last time we stayed there
