This hotel has the most polite and helpful staff. The room was well maintained, everything worked, and it had ample space and wonderful amenities. The bed was very soft and comfortable. Having the soap and lotion in caddies attached to the wall in convenient locations added to ease of access. The daily breakfast was always fresh, hot, or cold, depending on the items. There was definitely something for everyone to eat and enjoy. It was also perfectly located near food, shopping, highway, and gas stations. It was also very quiet and felt quite safe coming and going no matter which exit we used. We never had a problem finding a parking space either. This was the perfect transition after coming off of a long deployment. We'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel seemed brand new everything for the location to the staff, the room was clean and perfect. Breakfast had several options (a non-pork meat option would have been great though). The shower in rm 120 was exceptional, the water pressure was addictive. Thwy also have actual Dove products in the room from hand soap to showering products (hopefully that can be maintained). The location is the best part, Wawa across the parking lot and Stafford Market Place with tons of eating options available without having to drive. The front desk had smiling faces behind the counter, check in and check out was smooth and they had cookies and dinner mints to offer the guest. Best hotel experience in a while. I would definitely go back again

The only thing I didn't like is that they shut the heat off to the pool, could use it in the evening (that said, it was about 8:30pm and the pool closes at 10). Maybe keeping it warm until 30 minutes from closing would be great.

Staff was extremely friendly & provided us with everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful and there was plenty. I love that it was a indoor pool because I visit my grandsons near by and i love to do fun things with them when I come to VA. The hotel was very clean!!!

Honestly the bed pillows could be less soft .. i needed 3 to get comfy. Make a little firmer but the hotel was so nice the pillows didn’t change that.

The lobby tells you that you have stepped into a fine place. The front entrance is well-covered and protected from the elements. The room was spacious and clean, with enough room for a work-table expansion from the bureau as well as an additional relaxing chair and side table. There is a good wide screen TV, a mini-refrig, coffee maker, and a small microwave oven. Unlike many hotels, there is a place for two small suitcases side-by-side. Room security is enhanced by strong metal piece that you push open to block the door from opening beyond inches; much better than the old chain. The lobby has numerous semi-private seating areas and several large work tables with recharging ports. There is also a separate meeting room. There is an exercise room with multiple exercise machines and a wide array of hand weights. There is an indoor pool with several patio-type tables and a handicapped assistance chair. For welcoming, the lobby is surpassed only by the breakfast area with a good variety of juices, hot breakfast options, cereals, fruit and Danish. His hotel is clean, safe, and offers options for the office guest, the fitness guest, and the hungry traveler.

The thermostat on the air conditioning unit seemed to be either unresponsive or centrally controlled. The room was cold, and we could not change that. We had to move a chair to block the cold air.

The pool is very relaxing & the breakfast buffet is amazing

I was charged for a extra night to my card that I didn't stay , & what I found crazy was they tried to charge my account multiple times & each time it was a different rate than what I originally paid they tried to charge 4 different rates to my card, I travel to VA 2 times a month & we stay here each time, next weekend when we travel to VA we will not be staying here because of this.

Room was clean, well designed, and comfortable. Surrounding neighborhood was safe feeling, and we were close to everything you could need when travelling.

It would be nice if breakfast started a bit earlier. I have been staying with HIE almost exclusively for about 7 years now. (business and personal travel), and frequently have to leave about 30 minutes before breakfast.

staff was very friendly and accommodating. they interacted with my kids which was nice. the front desk was super helpful as well. i forgot to get milk for my little one and when i went down at 9:30 at night and asked for some they didn't complain just went and grabbed one of the containers from the breakfast area

the key card for the pool was not working so we had to find someone anytime we went to the pool.

Nice, modern and comfortable room; friendly and helpful service, ok breakfast. We made a separate request for a quiet room and that was fully accommodated, which we appreciated. Nothing not to like, really!

Everything was in line with what we'd expect from a hotel at this price point and in many cases actually better. Thanks and we'd stay again without hesitation (in fact this review is for a night we extended our stay; we subsequently moved elsewhere to a more expensive hotel in the area - to be closer to where our car was being repaired - and instantly regretted the move / missed what we had here...).

I’ve never stayed at a Holiday Inn bc I incorrectly had a bad impression of them. This hotel changed my mind! It was wonderful, extremely clean, room was modern, spacious and had a good layout, also a small fridge which was great since I was traveling with a cooler. The bed was so comfortable I tried to see what kind it was but couldn’t tell. It was just what I needed after a 13 hour drive. Breakfast in the morning was an added plus

They need more front desk help. They only had one person working on both checking people in AND running items upstairs to guests, so it was a long wait to check in and some people left to go to another hotel. The attendant was very nice, not her fault at all she just needed help.

The staff is absolutely amazing! Extremely helpful and accommodating. We were in town for our son-in-law's funeral. We needed space for our large family to gather for meals and the managers allowed use one of the conference rooms a few times.

One of the rooms we were in developed a water leak from the a/c unit. Staff moved us to different room, which was great. However, when our daughter arrived she was placed in the same room that had the leak and had to be moved. And the bacon, lol. Real bacon would be nice once in a while.
