Always a pleasure to stay here. Great view, good, dependable restaurant, under building parking, quaint? trains rumbling by, provided earplugs, close to town, did I mention the view of the harbor?
Price has literally doubled in 3 years. No longer a value at $400. a night for a partial view king. hallway carpet becoming shabby in high traffic areas. Free bottle of water for certain Hilton "classes", but $2 a bottle for others, rather tacky, I feel. Hotels around the world, that cost a fraction of this one, give out 2 bottles complimentary. A bottle, from Costco, costs about $0.11.

I love the location, the view is fantastic. The rooms are spacious and even the partial view rooms are great. The Chrysalis used to be a boutique hotel and was eventually sold to Hilton properties. The quality is somewhat less nice as a result e.g. they now charge $5 for room service and clearly they are maximizing profits wherever they can. The food at Keenan’s restaurant (part of the establishment) is overpriced, we paid $22 for two tiny desserts. With that said, we still love to stay there more than any other hotel, it feels comfortable and luxurious. The staff is wonderful.
As mentioned above the prices at he restaurant and being charged a delivery charge of $5 is excessive. Some people might not like the sounds of trains going by at night but it didn’t bother us and the hotel provides ear plugs.

The view from our room was beautiful. There is a comfortable window seat which is great for enjoying the view of the bay while sipping a coffee or glass of wine.
We stayed for two nights. On the second night there was a wedding, which was fine...congrats to the happy couple. It would have been nice to be informed that the wedding party was taking over the lounge and deck so that guests have time to make other dining arrangements.

Nicely appointed room with modern furnishings, a comfortable chair and window seat. The shaws left for your comfort along with the guest robe were a nice touch. The room was spa type with a wonderful deep soaking tub and a single shower. Nice restaurant on site and a good partial view of the bay. Secured parking. Cool bay front walking path with a nice coffee shop at the mid point. Nice neighborhood.
Train runs right between the hotel and the bay, it blew its horn at 6:30 am. I didn't need to get up that early. Garbage and delivery trucks started early too and could be heard outside our room easily.

We loved the location/the suite was a nice size & the view!
The ceiling above our giant tub started to come apart from a leak that was in the unit above us. We felt unsafe in that space after it started coming apart from the leak above & my friend was taking a bath at the time & had to end that early. We were not offered any discount or anything in the way of compensation & I know that it was very unsafe. The sweet was a luxury suite & that was very disappointing . We felt unsafe near the ceiling that was literally failing apart from the above leak.

The view from the room to the bay and San Juan Islands was amazing and looking out at the pedestrian activity on the overwater boardwalk near shore was fun. The layout of the room was very comfortable and the fireplace during the cold weather was romantic. The food (dinner and breakfast) in the restaurant was delicious and the view again was amazing. The spa was very nice and clean but also a bit overpriced. Having the restaurant and spa on site was very convenient, and the high quality made it that much more special. This is a very well designed facility. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The spa was a bit overprices. The train going by occasionally right next to the building is more of nuisance than a novelty, but given that we expected it before we arrived there, we were mentally prepared for the minor inconvenience.

The view of the bay from our room was great! The pillows, however, were not great, I would recommend bringing your own from home. Last time we had massages, the staff was amazing and the price was right. We had a very nice stay and enjoyed exploring Fairhaven for my husband's birthday.
The pillows were not so great, and the bed was a little hard. But the views and the other amenities make up for that. Just bring your own pillow(s) from home!

We loved the restaurant. Each day we chose to eat outside. This area was just beautiful! The breakfast itself was delicious!
The first night the train woke me up but then I remembered to use ear plugs so that fixed that problem. We loved seeing the active train during daytime.

Charming hotel with a romantic, boutique feel. Amazing restaurant and spa (ask for Erin!). The room at the Chrysalis Inn was spacious and clean with a great water view. The bathroom jacuzzi opens fully to the beautiful PNW vibe room... the best part being the fireplace of course. Romantic 100%
The price was a bit steep and the location is a bit out of the way if you're looking for anything in the way of people watching or nightlife. Luckily the restaurant in the hotel makes up anything you could want in the way of food, drinks and room service.

Excellent view, easy access to the boardwalk, covered parking included, wonderful organic food, uniform excellent customer service.
Hard to get comfortable on the beds. Comforter too hot, pillows too thick and uniformly hard. No variety in pillows.
