The location was absolutely amazing, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They provided great suggestions for activities to do in the area, and showed lots of love and enthusiasm for Lake Quinault. I loved the main lobby area. There's a big fireplace surrounded by comfy couches and chairs, with board games like chess and connect four laid out for guests to play. The atmosphere there was so peaceful and relaxing, I wish I could've stayed longer!
Everything was so nice, I only really have two small nit-picky suggestions for the rooms. We stayed in one of the Lakeside rooms and there wasn't a soap dish on the sink area, which would've been nice to have to store the bar of soap provided, and maybe having a complementary box of tissues in the room (but there's a small convenience store across the street to grab one yourself, so not a big deal at all).

The food in the restaurant was wonderful. I enjoyed salmon at dinner one night--moist and delicious! I loved the Logger's breakfast--tasty, flakey biscuits. And, great coffee! The staff is always pleasant, and just sitting in the lodge lobby is wonderfully relaxing.
I was disappointed that the sauna in the women's area was not working. I was disappointed that the women's changing room at the swimming pool was out of order. Also, there were no towels to use at the swimming pool and I was told by the front desk to just use one from my room--not as much cache as I'm accustomed to at the lodge.

Loved the overall feel of the whole lodge! We had a wonderful Dinner! All of the staff in the dining hall were so professional, kind and welcoming. The food was delicious. Excellent choices on the menu. Beautiful ambiance in the dining hall.
I would have liked a hot tub at the hotel. Or a spa tub in the room. Overall the room was great, clean, large and cozy. The only downside was the temperature couldn't seem to be adjusted. But it was a very cold weekend with snow.

We arrived in the early evening, the golden sun streaming across the green lawn, folks playing yard games, a few boats out on the water. The setting was spectacular - and the vintage lodge matched the setting. We were delighted with the roaring fireplace in the Great Room - necessary even on a sunny June day, definitely a bonus during the certain rainy season! Dinner on the terrace was fantastic - the menu was creative and extremely satisfying. A lakefront walking trail leads to the Rainforest Trail, and an early morning run was easy to enjoy, as was the indoor swimming pool and game room. My only complaint is that we didn't have time for more than one night. This lodge deserves a few nights at the very least.
There is no mini fridge in the Lodge room we stayed in (unclear if any rooms offer mini fridges) so be sure to mind that if it's a concern. We were in room 220, which overlooks the AC exhaust area, and there was a low hu from the equipment - more like white noise than anything disruptive.

A beautiful location on the lake. The lodge itself was also a nice place to explore. The reception staff were amazing when I had issues with my hire car and need to use their phone. The perfect place to end our US holiday.
I would advise the staff to probably not recommend the scenic loop of the lake without warning that the east end of the lake isn't a standard road. Once you head past the first waterfall (merriman) the road turns into a dirt track with potential tyre popping rocks and pot holes. The scenery that end is ok, but not worth the single lane, pot hole covered road you're faced with. I'd say you get pretty much all you need from going from Merriman falls, clockwise around the lake to July Creek picnic area.

It's an historic lodge. I loved the history displayed on the walls, particularly the photo of FDR with Churchill from 1937. The setting on the lake with the gorgeous big lawn (and I'm usually not into lawns!!). The staff were great. But they were understaffed in the restaurant.
The bed was too soft There was no instructions on the very atypical shower faucet. We thought it was broken. All that was needed was a little sign that says "pull out first." On the good side, when we said the shower did not work, someone was there in less than 3 minutes. They needed more plastic chairs on the beach.

Location is spectacular. Gentle hiking trails start right outside. DO NOT miss Roosevelt Restaurant. Dinner & breakfast were an absolute highlight! (My husband rated breakfast a Best of Washington. Trust me, that’s saying something!)
The folks checking us into the hotel were nothing short of rude. Juanita & all the folks in the restaurant & housekeeping were just delightful, more than making up for it.

Gorgeous historic lodge looking out at the lake. Room modest in size but comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Dining room attractive, service good, presentation outstanding. Pot roast average but salmon outstanding, perfectly cooked. Great hiking trails right from the hotel, both along the lake or uphill into the rainforest, which is stunning. You can even link the two for a loop walk.

Alexis and Isabel at the front desk was amazing. Our first room we were booked into wasn't exactly what we expected. They were able to move us into the lake front rooms. These rooms were more to our expectations. But Alexis and Isabel handled everything professionally and politely. I can not say enough about these two. Above and beyond!
