The lodge is updated to meet todays needs. The bathroom is remodeled and very nice. The whole lodge is very clean and very calming and nice atmosphere. The pictures do not do justice to this excellent place. Nice size pool and the area around it. The lunch and dinner food was excellent and very nice (I like that the menu had options, unlike everything fried). The lodge is built to if you need anything it is there and very relaxing

The pool needs to be cleaned more, and offering drinks (where no glass should be served) and light lunch would be very lovely. The breakfast service and food was horrible (that was so dissapointing since everything was exceptional), get rid of the buffet option and bring out a menu and ordering service instead. Also wifi services could have been better

The location is fabulous - breath taking views over the mountains. All staff were very friendly and always attentive. Breakfast was lovely - coffee with an amazing view and the choices on the menu great, out favorite was the salmon/pea puree toast, yummy! We also hit the bar a couple of times and burger, brisket & chicken sandwich were excellent - paired with craft beer on tap. We enjoyed the pool as well as the lake nearby where we did stand up paddling. There are numerous hiking trails leaving right from the resort - again, beautiful scenery, all well marked. The room was a standard size, two comfy beds and a completely remodeled, modern bathroom. We stayed in 322 - nice mountain view yet the view on the other side is even better. Winthrop is an idyllic little town with many eclectic boutiques and good restaurant options - our favorite by far was Jupiter. So all in all - highly recommendable to stay at the lodge. There a number of highly critical reviews and we were honestly rather skeptical when driving up to the lodge. We cannot judge what may have went wrong with others, yet from our experience of staying here for days we can give a clear 5 star rating!l

Staff was super friendly, eager and welcoming yet as a note to management they would empower their staff even more if there was more onboarding training provided;

The grounds were well maintained. It was an odd weekend, in that the air quality was soo bad, with the local fires. So we did not do alot of the activities that we planned. Horseback riding was awesome and of course the pool for the grandkids!

a little disappointed in the menu for meals. we ordered the kids tray 2 days in a row. The main course, the meat was spiced for an adult. I had to cut off the pepper and seasonings off the steak and then wash the shrimp.] otherwise good meals.

On top of a beautiful hill overlooking a stunning scenery is located this very pretty country style hotel. The rooms are slightly dated, but there is so much beauty around that it made little difference. We also had dinner and breakfast, which were also very pleasant.

The A/C in the room is really noisy and exhibits kind of a binary attitude; either freezing cold or hot. Luckily the evening was pleasantly cool and did not need to leave it on.

No breakfast offered. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Beautiful setting. Game room was a good addition. Pool was nice, as was hot tub.

Restaurants were quite expensive and had limited options. Bathroom sink kept getting clogged and no way to unclog it. Had chosen a room with two queen beds when I made the reservation but was given a room with 1 bed and a sofa. No other rooms available.

Lovely setting / location. Very comfortable bed. clean and cosy room. Nice balcony. Views would have been lovely from our balcony and the restaurant & bar, but unfortunately the smoke and air quality were bad in the area for the 2 nights we were there so we didn't get the full effect :-(

Most expensive breakfast I've had! breakfast was not $19 per person as noted on booking.com app but an a la carte menu only; $70 (incl tax & tip) for 1 fry, 1 eggs benedict, 2 oj's and 1 coffee. Management also need to do something about the plumbing...

Sun Mountain lodge is beautiful! We enjoy the breathtaking views and nature that surrounds the lodge. We enjoy using the pool as well.

We have visited various times over the last three years. Every visit we feel like the staff becomes worse. They tend to be short and rude. It puts a damper on the experience. Not sure if we will be back due to that.

This is a wonderful property in a stunning mountain setting. Comfortable room with mountain view, great beds and pillows so great we bought two new ones in the gift shop to take home. Restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent, and the informal bar/restaurant was great for lunch or just cocktails. We took several hikes on the hundreds of trails they maintain. This is avery special getaway, we are already scheduling our next visit.

The whole package exceeded our expectations, we loved not having a TV! Enjoyed reading in huge lobby with giant fireplace and roaring fire.

Beautiful large room with balcony and view of the hills and distant Cascades. Swimming pool smallish but nice. Very quiet.

Nine miles to Winthrop, the nearest town/restaurant; long ride to the high pass hiking trails. On site restaurants seemed OK but overpriced in our opinion. Rooms were quite pricey.

The highlight of our stay was absolutely the beautiful balcony overlooking the mountains we watched the sunset and listened to the birds it was absolutely gorgeous

Made service for the room was not consistent. They cleaned our room once but never again. Even after we asked a couple times.
