When booking these old fashioned motels we always wonder if they will be run down or the kept up to standard. P;leased to say that this lovely little motel is the latter. The room was clean and comfortable and the lady on the desk couldn't have been sweeter. She suggested that we go to see a local jam session band at the Occidental Saloon just a few minutes walk away, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. The food was great there too. No breakfast at the motel but we swung into a McDonald's just down the road on the way out the next morning. Good value.

Everything was fine.

The room was really cute. It was very small but perfect for one person. It’s very clean and extremely comfortable. I love the mini split because it was not noisy and kept the room very cool. Trudy was a doll. I love talking to her and she makes excellent coffee.

It’s not that I didn’t like it but I would’ve liked to of known if you use a credit card, there’s a swipe fee only a couple of dollars so it’s not a big deal.

We moved our reservation from Gillette to Buffalo simply due to the pictures on the booking site. It looked clean, old school charm, great location. And it was all of that and more. Trudy has built up a very cozy, clean facility with love and lots of care. It shows in the cleanliness and colors of the exterior. The room was small but very comfortable. Great value. Will be back the next time we are traveling through the area.

Harkened back to days of travel and stopping in a small motel. Rooms were small, so folks sat outside and chatted, which was a nice change from the sterility of the chains. The place was cool and clean, with room darkening drapes. The orange molasses cookies and Twelfth Night scones were great. Trudi was a delight to talk with.

One of the beds was stiff and uncomfortable. Because it was near an outlet, I had to sleep in it so I could plug in the sleep apnea machine. When I awoke, I could not straighten up because of pain in my back. I had broken my foot so had to have it raised while I slept so that could have been the issue, but my back continues to hurt. Also, since there was no ice machine, I had to ask at desk. Only got a few cubes..enough for my foot but not enough to cool water for bedtime drink.

We arrived after a full day of driving and outdoor activities. We were greeted by an outgoing and informative hostess who was attentive to all of our queries. The location was outstanding, and within walking distance to numerous dining as well as other points of interest. We plotted our course the next morning, with the aid of our hostess and a local sporting goods store. We grabbed outstanding coffee and doughnuts from a nearby food truck and were on our way.

Nothing! We could have spent more time in the area, but had miles to go before we slept.

The owner is a wonderful lady and very friendly and goes out of her way to see to your needs. The rooms are comfortable and the property is decorated and rooms easily accessible. There's a good Mexican restaurant within a 2 minute walk. Stayed there in 2022 and 23. Really enjoyable and quiet in the evening.

Very clean, very nice owner/operator, within walking distance of downtown

The hotel is a very old school 60s roadside motel. The rooms are quite small, the bathroom is tiny with a shower barely large enough for an adult, the heating system is a wall mounted unit that is a bit difficult to hold a constant temperature

the rooms are small but very clean, beds very comfortable. The patios had chairs and decorations, making it feel 'homey'.

I really enjoyed our stay but if I had to pick one thing - it would be the window shutters. I felt like I couldn't close them all the way and as a single mom traveling with my kids, I worry about someone being able to see in.

Spotlessly clean, although could do with some renovation Trudy was very welcoming and informative, nothing was too much trouble for her. She even lent us Brits a kettle and mugs to make our tea. The location is excellent, with downtown and grocery stores within easy reach. Quiet.

the place is an older motel but immaculate. Everything was thought through, in working order and updated as needed. I don’t remember ever having such a great forceful shower. check in was very easy. the gal was great. very welcoming. we don’t usually stay at motels.

I can’t think of anything
