Cattlemen Motel

The room was a pleasant surprise, spacious with a large bed with ornate bedhead. There was a good little coffee / tea / cider setup, and a fridge / microwave to prepare a TV dinner after a long day on the road and a quick breakfast the next day before visiting the canyon. The staff called us a few minutes after we left when they discovered we'd left behind a Kindle - thanks!!!

The bathroom is pretty tight - strictly one person at a time.

What a positive surprise! Having had low expectations for a motel in such a remote area we were greeted very friendly with helpful tips, just lovely. That actually started prior to our arrival where we were actively contacted about a potential switch to a room with two beds instead of just one. And that indeed happened at no additional charge! Furthermore, walking into the room it immediately became clear that someone is proud of their establishment: small things like various towels and an assortment of products, plus several coffee and tea options, all neatly and thoughtfully arranged. I have seen 4 star hotel rooms where a lot lees care was taken! Beds comfy with pillow options. As for location/food: some 30 yards away is a no-frills dinner place with good food and drink options and friendly staff. It's Lovell, WY - managed expectations help. :-)

Due to the building's age the walls are very thin and essentially any noise from neighboring rooms or from outside travels through as if those people were in our room. But that's not the hotel's fault, it's purely related to the age of the building and is - short of tearing the place down - nothing that can be fixed. Just be aware of it. This prevents us from giving a score of 10 as it is an important factor for a fully relaxed stay and a good night's sleep.

Everyone in Lovell Wyoming is so friendly! You just want to come back again! We also liked the different drinks offered in the room. Especially the Apple Cider. The restaurant was excellent food and great prices and the people were so friendly.

Nothing to change

The property is located in the heart of town but tucked back for a private feel. Extremely well maintained grounds, and the room was very clean. One bed was much firmer than the other which actually was perfect for my family!

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and the room was extremely clean, like insanely clean. They have a dog run, fire pits, and a cute outdoor eating area. It was the perfect little place for an overnight getaway to explore the Bighorn Canyon!

The carpets were old but it was a pet-friendly room, so that's to be expected.

Very clean nice little hotel. The rooms are very small, as is usually the case with motels of the kind. But they have all the essentials. The owner is very nice and helpful.

I really enjoyed talking with the desk clerk about the history of the motel and her profession as a teacher.

I couldn't figure out how to work the TV so I turned it off and went to sleep.

Everything. Amber, the owner, is the loveliest person possibly in the world, the room was very well equipped and it is very reasonably priced. It is in a great location near Bighorn Canyon and Yellowstone.

Nothing.

Room clean and updated. I had made a poor reservation however, they accommodated our needs. Need to give a few more towels and hygiene products, Small and hard to use. Extra roll of toilet paper would be helpful and an extra bag or bigger trash. New decorations and the grounds are very nice. Flowers are pretty.

It was very convenient with 4 place settings and coffee in the room. A full frig, 2 big beds which came in handy with three of us.
