Location is good only 5 min walk over bridge to markets, old town. Offer free bicycles. Room had big windows allowing alot of natural light, bar fridge, smaller area to hang clothes put a bag, aircon and fan in the room, bathroom facilities were good. The room was upstairs the large open balcony to rooms have chairs to sit and relax more privately. Bonsai offer food to cook for meals and beer/coke etc Breakfast ( not buffet) was a choice of one cooked item with bun + small portion of fruit, one juice, one serve of coffee. Pool has a number of loungers for guest to enjoy. We were here for 10 days and noticed alot of couples, solo traveler, family with adult children stayed here. We were able to relax by the pool with no kids splashing in the pool. Bonsai was a pleasant stay and they made our stay comfortable. The friendly ladies servicing the rooms did a lovely job each day; clean towels, sheets. Check out the places to eat and spas before going over the bridge!! Vietnamese Chopsticks (Dua Viet) to eat is a must and Coconut Spa is an excellent professional spa for massage and gel nails etc

Important to note: If you are not keen on dogs, there are 2 smaller dogs that wander freely and are a part of this home. Pillows really hard/high. Breakfast is minimal and would be nice to have a refill of coffee offered

Autumn, her family and staff are wonderful. They can arrange tours, motorcycles and have bicycles. The breakfasts are great. The pool is clean. The patio is filled with Bonsai and is a peaceful area to relax. Our room was spacious and the staff kept it tidy and stocked with fresh towels. There’s a row of restaurants a couple blocks away that line the river looking toward old town. Good value and food. Above all we were treated us like family. Couldn’t have been more welcoming.

The Bonsai is a little further from the main town than thought. No Problem short walk to everything.

The best way of explaining why we loved our stay at Bonsai Villa hotel is through giving a breakdown of some of the reasons LOCATION excellent. About 400 metres from the Old Town. CLEANLINESS excellent. Spotlessly clean throughout OUR ROOM A very spacious room with a balcony BED.  Big bed with a new very comfortable mattress. Not too hard, not too soft. BATHROOM AND SHOWER. Spacious bathroom with a panelled walk in shower. Plenty of hot water. BREAKFAST Fabulous, made to order breakfast western or asian with very nice local fruit. GARDENS AND SWIMMING POOL a bonsai real art exhibition with a mini Japanese bridge and a koi pond full of colourful fish surrounds the swimming pool THE HOSTS AND STAFF Gracious, accomodating and extremely helpful. Their English is good. This small family run hotel ticks all the boxes and excedes expectations

We didn’t like leaving the place. It was so confortable and we were impressed by the kindness of the people from the hotel and also from the island during our stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Family owned and run Homestay, super friendly, excellent location and great condition in a quiet street but close walking distance to the Old Town. Nothing was too much trouble; I booked a private car to and from Da Nang airport plus all tours through Bonsai which was very convenient and meant only one transaction. Seeing a board with your name on it on arrival after a fairly long flight was welcoming. I will be back.

The property was perfectly located, the outdoor decor with the bonsai was simply amazing and very pleasant to look at. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and very spacious. All the rooms were cleaned daily with a fresh change of towels. Breakfast was included and offered a wide variety of choices. All delicious! Our hosts were extremely welcoming and went the extra mile to meet our every needs. We were also greeted by 2 adorable dogs. We liked the Villa so much that we extended our stay by 2 days after we arrived. Having a pool was great to help cool down.

Left Hoi An this morning. Cannot say enough about our homestay. Best accommodation we have ever stayed in. Autumn and Duc are so welcoming and kind. Made us very comfortable. Their rooms were big and extremely clean and the ambience of the property is very restful. They also have an in-house travel agent, so all our tours were arranged without any hassles and at a cheaper rate than outside. Yes Hoi An has many swanky hotels but the Bonsai Villa gets my vote. We were sad to leave. Thank you Thu Hong, Duc and Hiep. Very enjoyable! Thank you Duc for the Bonsai tips! Thanks too for the security guard 💂‍♀️🐕🐕🐕🐕

Loved everything.

This is a great property with a sensational bonsai garden and nice pool area, just 15 minutes walk from from the old town. There are plenty of cheap local restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity if you don’t want to go into the tourist centre. Hiep and her family are fantastic hosts and very helpful with tours, transport and local information. And the breakfasts… are brilliant.

It feels a bit out of the way when you first arrive, but it’s in a very authentic part of Hoi An so for us, just exploring the local back streets made the stay even more special.

Booked this hotel as my one was a building site. Was glad I did what a great stay staff were so friendly. Room was great with very comfy bed and actually had English TV which was a bonus. Breakfast was really good especially the rolls so fresh. Great location just 5 min walk to old town and good restaurants and bar b4 Bridge. Had my birthday there and was shocked when presented with cake and presented what a great touch. Will definitely be back.

Would have been nice to have table on balcony. Apart from that nothing.

We had a great relaxing time at Bonsai Villa, which locates in a quiet area in Hoi An but not too far from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town. 5 mins walking to Hoi An market and Bánh mỳ Phượng. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast, especially Vietnamese dishes, was just as good as any local restaurants. The check-in was also prompt and the owners were super nice. They were also very flexible to let us change room as our neighbor seemed to enjoy watching TV very loudly. There were also free bikes to borrow to ride to the beach or Coconut Village.

The hotel was lovely, the room was large with a lovely balcony. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The swimming pool was a great addition. The breakfast was very good; you made your choices the night before and it was a mixture of western and Asian with more than enough. The location was perfect for us on the island just a 15 mini Ute walk into the old town. The free bicycle hire was really useful as we cycled to the beach and around the town and into the countryside. Most of all the staff were just great, really helpful and such fun.

The only suggestion I can make is a few more sun beds.
