Large clean and spacious rooms with good bathrooms too. Nice to have a balcony too and a pool in the property (although we didn’t have time to use it as we did so much around Hoi An!) Excellent service from San and Tam and the rest of the team who helped us with all of our plans while we were in Hoi An and worked so hard to make sure we had the best time. San and Tam are brilliant. They really made us feel comfortable and at home! Really tasty breakfast as well! Felt very full for the day ahead. We used the bikes on one day which are offered for free and were convenient for getting to the beach. We also hired a motorbike to get to My Son - it was in great condition and got us there and back comfortably. If you’re reading these reviews then you’re probably aware that the location isn’t as close to the main town as some other hotels and homestays, but it was only a 20 minute walk which was never an issue for us (we love walking, and you can also use the free bikes if you’d prefer) and it’s a great way to soak up the local atmosphere. Overall an absolutely fantastic stay and great value. We were really happy, and extended our original stay from 3 nights to 6 nights and are planning our next trip to come back.

There was nothing we didn’t like!

As in my previous review: - outstanding stay! - comfortable rooms and facilities - excellent, friendly and attentive service from San, Tam and the rest of the team - excellent breakfast - great value - location a bit further out than other places but really not an issue (either a 20 minute walk or you can use the bikes that they provide for free) - the positive of this is that you have easy access to both the town and the beach, and the walk/cycle lets you take in more of the local area. It was a positive for us. Will be recommending to all my friends and hope to return soon!

More like a hotel then a homestay, amazing place. We were supposed to only be there for two night but we extended our stay for two more. The girls are super nice and helpful, the drove me to the police twice on their own scooters (without wanting anything in exchange, not even gas money) because of some issues with my passport. The breakfast is amazing, you can get anything from a buffet that has fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, cereal and milk, two kind of toast, jam, butter and little pastries… and you can also order something a la carte every morning (we had two dishes each). A breakfast like this got us going till 4 pm every day. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, and we really loved to swim in the pool. The homestay provides free bikes to go around and you can also rent a scooter. Overall the best stay during our trip to Vietnam :)

The place is pretty good for the price, we stay here for 1 night as a couple and the woman at the reception can speak english quite well (as a thai I can communicate well). She provide some of activities that you can add such as coconut boat tour, historical show (with extra cost which may more expensive than spend at the place itself but we choose this because of the convenient) You can ask her for motorcycle rent which cost us 150k for 24 hr rent (Bicycles are also available but for our weak legs it was quite pain to ride to the beach haha)

The room was alright, spacious, bed and pillow are comfort but it’s not that clean and have a bit of musty smell in the closet and bath room. It feel like the place used to be homestay before turn into hotel

Our 5 day stay at Volar Homestay was a wonderful experience. They recognised the fact we are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with decorations and some beautiful food. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. We could use their bikes and we cycled between 20-30kms most days to see all the sights that are just slightly out of town. The tour booking desk was also very efficient and on par to slightly cheaper than we could book ourselves. Well done, we can highly recommend this homestay!

Good location, about a 15 minute walk to the old town and the road was very quiet. Friendly & helpful staff, they helped book rides and did laundry in a timely manner. The room was clean and nice looking, and the patio had a nice view of the pool and street. The staff took garbage from the room and replaced towels daily. The breakfast had a lot of options and guests could choose an item to have cooked fresh.

Not enough plug ins in the room and the lobby/stairwell to the rooms were extremely hot (no AC or fans to circulate air).

The hotel looks very nice, it is cozy and bright. It is located outside of the busy center but super close to it. I loved that they provided bikes to guests and that they were ready to help you with all of the bookings! Also delicious breakfast!! Overall, I had a great stay!

I didn’t like that there were cockroaches in the room however I must say that they were all over Hoi An so it’s probably hard to stop them from entering the rooms. During breakfast I think they should keep some coffee fruit etc in the common space so that you don’t always have to ask

This hotel was so amazing. The staff was so nice and friendly they were always providing valuable information about Hoi An and how to enjoy our trip here and they made it even better by helping us book a really exciting boat and cooking class. The breakfast was very delicious and you're always spoiled for choice. The pool was sooo nice because of the garden growing around it. You just feel so relaxed. And the rooms are super clean and the beds are very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. They made us feel so at home.

The only bad thing is that I didn't stay longer!

We got free cycles to roam around the city and we could also rent a scooty/motorbike for 120.000 VND for a day. The breakfast was good and the staff was helpful.

The original room that we stayed in was smaller than expected or shown in the pictures. It was smelling a bit as if it had be shut for sometime but that was not the case since the property was occupied and busy. The towels were a bit stained and once the bathroom mat got wet after shower, the bathroom started smelling. But, despite that the stay was pleasant.

I absolutely adore it when the staff is friendly and welcoming. Additionally, a spacious room just makes my stay all the more comfortable and enjoyable.

Due to the high humidity, there was an unpleasant odor in the room and the clothes failed to dry completely.
