✅first line, you can see beautiful sunset ✅territory looks beautiful ✅good price for this level ✅we took breakfast included and we could go to restaurant in a hotel any time for other meals, prices are almost the same like in restaurants on the streets. ✅nice villa

❌no coffee machine for breakfast ❌hotel is far from walking streets, so if you want to go to eat out or to some shops you need to call taxi or rent bike ❌no big mirror in a room (I could see only half of myself, how I supposed to choose a dress for evening?😅) ❌most of the stuff didn’t know even basic English ❌ beach doesn’t look paradisy, a lot of stones and dark color of sand

Very beautiful peaceful resort with lots of trees, flowers. The swimming pool by the beach is amazing too. There are free kayaks on the beach. There is also kids room and spa center available. The rooms are amazing, the interior designer and architect did great job!

Food is a huge minus. The restaurant is very poor, not on the level of such beautiful resort at all. Menu is vastly overpriced and the food and drinks are not even tasty. Using supermarket dough for pizza in a four star resort, really? Hoping that the resort can hire a good chef and create better menu. The second swimming pool was closed down for some reason, it was a little upsetting, because it looked very nice. If you position yourself as an eco resort, you might want to rethink giving 0.5 plastic bottles of water. First of all 0.5 is not sufficient for a person in such hot climate, daily consumption is 2 liters. Second of all it’s very easy to invest in glass or ceramic jars 🫙 and refill them. Eco friendly.

The view and location is very great, the rooms closer to the beach are the best in my opinion. Nice pool and private beach, attentive staff. There was a good breakfast buffet. Spa was alright! At the pool and beach the staff was excellent! The pictures make the property look more modern than it actually is, but it’s still very well done and beautiful.

The restaurant could have had a bit more of an atmosphere ( food is good tho) , the gym is a little outdated. But it’s still okay. The cleaners could be more attentive when cleaning the room. They left the floor sandy and moved things around, which was a bit irritating. We paid for Ballons for my birthday and they left them for 3 days in the room, for instance.

The staff and the room were super nice! The pool and the views are amazing. The breakfast is delicious but it was really hot in the restaurant because the aircon wasn't working. In case you need them, they have free transfer from and to the airport but have really reduced times.

For a 5 star hotel, I was expecting more like iron in the room (you have to pay extra to get your clothes ironed), more details in the room like more towels, slippers, water (it is too small, only one sip). To rent a motorbike is 200k dong for only 12h (super strange), so we ask them where we can rent a bike outside, and they were annoyed by this question. The hotel is 20 mins by bike from the main road we expect to have transfer at least but they didn't have... you have taxis outside the door, but of course, they try to trick you into paying more, so we have to request a grab every time that we want to go to the town. There are a lot of details that make them not feel like a 5 star hotel... I won't recommend to my friends

We booked this hotel with the intention of simply relaxing at the beach and resting for two days. It served its purpose, but we had hoped for a bit more. The premises have significant potential, and I can imagine that it might have been a perfect place a few years ago, but nowadays, it could benefit from a bit more care and renovation. On the contrary, the beach and swimming pool were enjoyable. We appreciated the privacy of the villa and the airport shuttle bus. To travel to the city, it is necessary to either use Grab or rent a motorbike. We ordered a half board and were surprised to find that there wasn't a buffet for dinner, but instead, meals were served. While it's evident that the chef is putting in effort, and some dishes were great, a buffet option might be more preferred. We had the possibility to dine outside near the swimming pool and the atmosphere was romantic.

One swimming pool was out of service, probably for an extended period. We would appreciate different opening hours for the gym; 11 am is a bit late for morning exercise, and the equipment was rather limited. There wasn't enough employees at breakfast, so when we got there at 9, essentials like yogurt and fruit were missing, requiring us to request a refill. In a 5-star hotel, I would expect such matters to be handled automatically. Overall, I wouldn't classify this hotel as five-star; it would likely meet expectations for a 3+ or 4-star rating.

The property was a nice get away. Staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable and spacious.

Things in my room kept breaking. The doorbell wasn’t secure and fell off. The bathtub was really nice but didn’t hold water and we had to call to have it fixed. Never got to enjoy it. The included breakfast had nothing for drink options besides water, coffee and some diluted watermelon juice. Seriously get some other options. We stayed here for a week so please don’t think we disliked the hotel. They need to inspect these room for damage and add more drinks to the breakfast. Besides that the stay was great.

Room Selected was the perfect location in main building - several footsteps from the ocean Breakfast was varied and spoilt for choice Everywhere on site was clean, accommodating Swim up pool bar was nice Lovely pool BBQ evening dinner around the pool with live music is a must !! Sea water is lovely - private beach area with plenty sun beds Attentative beach staff Buggy drivers are very friendly & courteous

The room selected, trying not to be over critical, was let down by the staining of the kitchen & ancillary stone based sinks Very stained and off putting Room otherwise was big with bathtub facing the ocean with a huge cornered balcony on the first floor.

The stay at The Shells Resort was wonderful- we stayed for 2 weeks and are thrilled- the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and very fond of children. The breakfast was excellent, plentiful and varied. The restaurant and bar are ok in terms of cost and very tasty. For anyone travelling with young children (our two are 2 years and <1 year) The Shells is an absolute top recommendation. The lodges are clean, in good condition and beautiful. No adapter for electricity necessary (European devices). The complete lodge and resort area is absolutely safe for young children- the baby cot was very good. The large pool is great for young and old, and the lifeguards are a plus. We will come back anytime.

If anything, the location of The Shells is a minor minus point - but anyone who downloads the "Grab" app quickly realises that this doesn't matter. For 2 euros (~55,000đ), you can be in the city quickly and at any time. We traveled with the kids to many locations and events all over the island, you need anyway a driver or a scooter. As a bonus it is absolutely silent night and day. You can also have food sent to the reception of many restaurants quickly and easily. The beach is a bit small, but very nice and clean, plus the pool makes up for everything.

Wonderful secluded hotel set on private beach. Room was clean and spacious. Pool area exceptionally clean. Plenty of covered rest spaces to escape the inevitable downpour. Restaurant was limited as still low season but enjoyed our meals. Taxis always on site for a trip or meal away from the resort. Very serene and just the antidote to four days in Saigon. Vietnamese signature massage at the spa was fab.

Not enough bottled water in the room and bar prices high with the nearest store being quite a trek. Apart from that small, first world problem nothing bad to say at all!

A resort hotel with a private beach and a large swimming pool. This is its special feature. Breakfast is an all-you-can-eat option, and there are shuttle buses and scheduled taxis at the gate.

The resort was established earlier, so the design will be older. I don't like the way the room is designed. The shower is outdoors (there are also indoor rooms), so you have to avoid the possible rainy hours at night. Because the resort uses a boiler, the hot water is used very quickly. If you take a shower too late, you will only have warm water left (after 20:00).
