Island Leisure Resort

We had an amazing time on magnetic island staying at island leisure resort! The team was lovely, they made us feel very welcomed and gave us many useful tips. The pool area in the resort is a nice place to relax and in general all the common areas are very inviting. The room was spacious and clean and the kitchen featured everything we needed. Location is great as well, close to the ferry and some supermarkets. The bus stop is right in front of the resort and makes it super easy to get around the island. Overall had a perfect stay and would come back here anytime! Thanks for having us

The resort was wonderful. Very nice pool and a Tennis court and games room for entertainment. The rooms are very nice complete with a small kitchen for cooking meals. Air conditioning worked great and the staff were very helpful. Would recommend as a place to stay while on Magnetic island.

The location was in a quieter part of the island a long bus ride from Horseshoe bay, however there are still lots of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Just be aware that most restaurants close by 8pm on the island so you may need to eat earlier while staying here.

Very well quipped with pretty much everything we needed. It was clean with good water pressure in the shower. The apartment was very spacious with lots of room for luggage etc. The pool area was nicely kept and the water very warm. The local bus stopped a few minutes walk up the road. The port is a shortish walk away with a really good supermarket there. There is a small supermarket at the end of the road close to the resort but we found little we wanted there and preferred the supermarket opposite the ferry.

Internet more woe-fi than wi-fi but likely this was due to magnetic island reception rather than the fault of the property.

stylish designed self contained rooms, well presented clean and has your own private balcony area set in Lucius tropical gardens. Resort is within walking distance to restraunts, ferry terminal and local attractions and a busy atop just meters down the road. The resort has a large swimming pool, play area and a kiosk for all essential snacks. We were welcomed by friendly caretaker who also aloud us to check in early as room was ready. We were given information about the resort and what it offer’s and a booklet about the island and how to get around. We will defiantly be back and strongly recommending this resort.

We really want to return as we didn't get to enjoy the Island or the facilities, as I ended up in Townsville Hospital after a nasty fall. My husband swam, cooked a couple of BBQ's the whole facility was quiet and calm.

Everything was beautifully presented; we could have been left with some more shampoo and soaps. Also even though it had a kitchenette with hot plates, some kitchen staples like sugar, salt and pepper would have been nice. on our return visit we with eat at restaurants that are around us.

Spacious, high ceiling, self-contained unit with all facilities to cook. Good internet connection, I had no issues. Comfortable bed and 2 ceiling fans as well as air-conditioning. Nelly Bay foreshore and beach is only metres away. Lots of cute wallabies on the rocks at Nelly Bay foreshore. Nearby bus stops take you towards Horseshoe Bay and Picnic Bay. Nice and quiet location, as I wanted, to relax and unwind.

As expected with most self contained accommodation you have to sign a declaration to be accountable in event of damage to property. Unregistered guests are not allowed. However such rules maintain ambience, serenity and character of niche accommodation for a relaxing holiday.

Room was immaculately clean, spacious and well equipped with a little kitchenette. The accommodation was designed as a cabin/hut with a high ceiling and semi open bathroom. There was an outside, shady terrace which we used for breakfast. There was a lovely pool area with loungers and BBQ and a relax space with a pool table. Beach/pool towels were available to borrow. A short walk to the port at Nelly Bay, also on the island bus route and the beach is a few minutes away therefore very easy to get around. So everything you could want for a great stay and some very nice and helpful staff.

The property has such a tropical oasis feel about it, you feel like you can truly relax here. Each villa is a private getaway. our villa was extremely clean and comfortable with a great kitchen and bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful from my first phone call to when we handed our keys in and said goodbye. We spent every afternoon in their huge pool that was well shaded at one end. The bus stop is a convenient one minute walk away and the friendly bus drivers dropped us off right out the front each time we arrived back to the resort. We had a wonderful time at Island Leisure Resort and we were so sad to leave.

Honestly we liked everything here.

Check in and out was easy. Staff member was friendly and welcoming. Units were in a quiet area within walking distance to the beach and built for privacy. A small kiosk and community centre with games, puzzles and books was available to guests.

Airconditioning struggled with the extremely hot and humid weather. This appeared to be because of the design of the units which had very high ceilings.

The resort is located very close to the beach, shops and few cafes and restaurant. Only 15 min walk from the ferry. There is a swimming pool and bbq area that you can use. There is a "play room" with the pool, books, games and you can also use the tennis court for free. We had to wait for the plane back home till the evening and we were able to use the common areas for the day and leave our bags in the reception, that was very helpful and kind!

I was surprised that the bathroom didn't actually have a proper separation from the room. I lacked privacy when I used the toilet in the room.
