Peppers Blue on Blue

The resort is well located at the ferry terminal. Our apartment opened up to the pool and was spacious and clean. The pool area is massive and lovely and clean. Shallow and deep areas to cater for all ages and abilities. Heaps of sun loungers. Pretty view over the marina. Short walk to the IGA, island bus a few restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The barbecue area felt like it was a last minute thought. Resort would definitely benefit from an allotted area with proper seating and undercover area. Felt very clap dash compared to the rest of the resort.

Beautiful hotel, conveniently located to the ferry. Warm and welcoming staff; particularly when they resolved a small issue we had during our stay which was completely out of their control and compensated beyond my expectations; much appreciated!

Buffet breakfast is mediocre. More GF options would be nice, and the cost of a proper coffee was a little high ($7.50ish). Location of our 1 bedroom apartment was overlooking the ferry carpark which was disappointing, particularly given the noise first thing on a Sunday morning. The rooms would benefit from block out blinds also; so much light comes in at the rise of the sun.

I was worried as there are a lot of mixed reviews about this place. But I was pleasantly surprised with my own experience: I got a lift access room, (beware when booking at this Property as some rooms are up 3 flights of stairs with no lift access. So if you have loads of luggage to carry like ne make sure to special request a room with easy access :) staff was nice and professional and room was clean and comfortable. Very well equipped . Great for family holidays kids loved it But no room service :( booking.com said there was room service but that’s not accurate.

No room service (inaccurate description of booking.com). No DVD player (another inaccurate description by booking.com) And they don’t take cash which is not good as if internet is not working you just can’t do anything. And also the smart tv in the room don’t work: there are 3 remote control for no purpose as only regular tv works. They have a modem for internet but the smart tv are not compatible with it; only solution is to hotspot with our own devices. And there is about 1km of wiring all scumbbled up behind the tv for the speakers. Absolutely frivolous as the speakers are within 30cm of the tv.

Loved, loved, loved our stay at Peppers. It was our honeymoon and they upgraded our room upon checking in and we were blown away. We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, full apartment with 2 balconies, laundry services and an amazing view into the marina. The room was beautifully decorated, beach house vibes, very clean, and we appreciated the sparking wine left in the fridge for us. The two pools were great and stayed open late for an after dinner swim. The location is steps from the ferry port, the bus stop, the grocery and liquor store and a short walk from some restaurants. The Island was breathtaking and all the beaches are with arms reach, not to mention, the seclusion is unreal. Would highly recommend this accommodation and hoping to come back soon.

Nothing. It was perfect. Just a note, restaurants close early on the Island so pre-book your dinners and grab some snack for the room after.

Peppers is a beautiful property in a good location for getting around the Island. It has a nice relaxed vibe and staff were all very helpful and very friendly. The large pool lit up at night is beautiful. Liked being on the marina and seeing the boats. Right next to Ferry and bus terminal so good spot if you don’t take a car. Walks to Alma bay were a favourite on a fantastic walkway. Magnetic Island was a great destination. Loved all the national park walks and different bays to visit.

I was expecting marina and ocean views, we had the carpark view. Such a shame all of block 2 which we were in faces that way. Booked 2 units for 2 families under one name and we were placed at opposite ends of the resort. Expected to be near each other. The other 3 bedroom unit I booked for my friends was in block 8 and nice views there of pool and marina. Other blocks looked like they had some views. As much as I enjoyed the property I’d consider another resort next time due to the lack of views from our room, it was a pretty disappointing part of our stay.

Room was fine. Altho bathroom sink rather dated and cracked. Breakfast good - altho not much variety over our one week stay so we went elsewhere sometimes for variation. Pool was excellent as were the views from our balcony over the marina. Dinners in the restaurant were EXCELLENT!! Could not fault the menu here as all was delicious! First class! As was the service. Reception staff were extremely helpful and customer service was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone at Peppers.

Room was ok but just a little 'tired'.

Room was very clean and well presented. Complex is well situated just a short distance from both the vehicle and passenger ferries. Bedding and towels were of very good quality. Overall, I consider this property first class for a couple to spend time together and visit the Island's sites. Restaurant has high quality meals and the restaurant staff are very friendly. Prices are quite reasonable.

Basement parking is a little tight but very accessible from two entrances. There is very little not to like at this resort.

Too much light come in through the blinds Bed had only a sheet no doona Had to pay if you wanted extra towels We were not able to check in any earlier even though staff knew we were arriving 3 hours prior to check in. I went desk at 1:40pm to see how much longer our room would be. I was told it still wasn’t ready and I felt this staff member to be quite dismissive. Then we got a call 20 minutes later right on 2pm to say it was ready.

Locality from Ferry Terminal, Ease of Checkin with staff member, Direction to Room and path to room offered a choice of ramp or stairs. Lift to room level is very convenient and there is good room to enter and exit room. Barra Dinner in restaurant was Splendid, Buffet Breakfast had a very good variety of food to choose from. My Room was well laid out and appointed with all the conveniences to be self-contained for a lengthy stay. A/C worked very well, lighting luminated the room very well, all doors worked very well. TV also worked easily, which is a huge relief for an old fashioned person, chairs were well paired to table and Lounge and chairs was very comfortable. Room Attendant was a Very Pleasant person and very efficient in her time in my room. The convenience to a IGA Shopping Centre is very much appreciated.

Nothing to be broken hearted about - But, the Coffee choice of Maccona is really good for instant coffee, international roast is a heartburn in a packet. Wondered of the choice of sweeteners for beverages, sugar for me is fine, though I prefer raw sugar. Probably checking of Body Wash in shower could be refilled more often.
