Mountain Sanctuary B&B

Helen and Peter were amazing. They let us check in early as we had arrived earlier than expected. We had both breakfast options during our stay and they were honestly the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Lots of options to choose from. And the music playlist they had playing during breakfast was lovely. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were amazing, very soft. The private bathroom was very spacious. The spa bath was superb. I am 5 foot 8 and was able to stretch out completely with room to spare. Shower pressure was strong, and the shower itself was huge. The private balcony was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was completely sound proof which was great. They had undercover parking and the grounds themselves were flat and everything was easily accessible. The property and surrounding areas were breathtaking. Had everything I could want and more and will definitely be back if I’m ever in QLD again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Sanctuary B&B. The location of the property is great. We walked to the restaurants, shops and Fortitude brewery on Long Road (The Gallery Walk). The Palm Grove rainforest walking circuit is only 100 m down the road. Further shops and restaurants are only 3 km (5 mins drive) away. The hosts, Helen & Peter, are very welcoming people and do their best to make you feel at home. It was great to enjoy breakfast with the birds having their breakfast outside the window of the breakfast room.

1) Amazing Host. Helen was very nice to deal with and responded quickly to emails 2) Ideal location (quiet & close to shops and walking tracks) 3) Good value for money 4) Clean and well maintained rooms 5) Netflix in room was a great idea 6) Good to be able to access a BBQ for cooking meals

1) The bench space in the rooms to prepare meals and coffee was not practical 2) The room fridge was too small 3) Air Conditioning in the room not working properly 4) Maybe a little more variety to the Continental breakfast would help (eg fruit)

Our hosts were lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was much more than a plain continental breakfast, I very much enjoyed my breakfast whilst watching the variety of birds visiting and enjoying theirs. The bed was very comfortable considering my husband has a chronic back condition. You could lounge around in your room at night or enjoy games and the sitting area available to you. The spa looked very inviting but unfortunately I was not in a position to use it this time. We come to QLD yearly as we have relatives nearby and think this could our new regular to place to stay. Loved it!

There is nothing I can say I didn't like about this place.

We loved this B&B. Cannot recommend it more highly! Helen and Peter were very accomodating and thought of everything. The room was beautiful and clean. They provided excellent hospitality. It was the little things that really take this accomodation to the next level. The spa bath was spacious equipped with candles and lighter. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again!

Nothing. It was the perfect weekend away! If I were to be really picky, having a free powerpoint close to the beside table available to charge your phone overnight without unplugging the lamp would be ideal. But really, who needs a phone alarm when you're on holidays.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Sanctuary B&B. The hosts, Helen & Peter, are the loveliest people. They’re extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The attention to detail in our suite was amazing, we didn’t want for anything. The amenities are spot on and so very clean. The position of the property is great. We walked to shops and cafes as well as the rainforest circuit. It’s the best B&B we’ve stayed in.

Imagine a place where you could feel in touch with nature from the comfort of your home, this is what Helen & Pete created. I've stayed at Palm Groove room with my husband for 5 nights and we absolutely loved every minute of it, the perfect place to relax, enjoy a book and connect with nature. The room is cosy with a large spa bath, balcony and comfortable bed. We loved the breakfast, every morning with fresh fruit salad, croissants and delicious warm omelettes and hashbrows made by Pete.

The only problem we had was that the time passed too quickly, we wish we had booked more days!! We are def coming back soon.

Peter and Helen were wonderful friendly hosts, engaging, welcoming and so helpful. the property itself is beautiful, well maintained, and spotless. the room was very cosy, with great facilities and well equiped for any needs. I only wish we had time to stay longer. this b&b would be ideal for an out of state traveler, as the hosts are extremely helpful,and update boards daily with things to do, weather forecasts etc on those particular days. could not recommend enough

absolutely nothing

The property is close to Tambourine Mountain in a quiet location set in beautiful gardens. Accommodation is very comfortable and the amount of sundry items and toiletry items provided is exceptional and far better than most other places, including top hotels, that we have stayed in. The owners, Helen & Peter, are exceptionally friendly and most helpful which makes you feel very welcome.

We absolutely loved our time at the Mountain Sanctuary B&B. I would say that Pete and Helen's best strategies are their attention to detail - nothing was left to chance. Parking was allocated and car undercover, breakfast was beautifully presented with a lovely variety of food, and our room was very clean and comfortable - very welcoming after our car journey. Hosts were friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble, and also ensured our privacy throughout the stay. We would definitely recommend Mountain Sanctuary B&B to others looking for a quality break.
