Oaks Cable Beach Resort

Great pools. We had lovely weather. Plenty of deck chairs to lay by the pool. Great breakfast every morning. Dinners were delicious had a scotch fillet steak well done. We had dinner there every night as we had no car. You can have takeaway to your room which we did on the last night of my stay. It was good that the bus tours picked you up from reception and delivered you back. We did Broome bus tour, Willies Pearl Farm +Lunch, Dolphin & Whales Boat Tour. We had a very relaxing 4 nights stay to end our WA holiday. The airport shuttle bus picked us up from reception and delivered us in plenty of time for our plane back to Perth.

Lunch is not catered for at Oaks Cable Beach. It is further away from shops than I expected. There is a bus stop during the day ends 6.45pm so no good if you need to go out at night and don't have a car. Taxis would be available. 2 out of 3 tours provided food which was our lunch so we got by.

The whole resort is beautiful. We enjoyed staying here for four nights. The bus stop was right out the front which was handy as we didn't have a car. The bus picks up from that stop every half an hour. The restaurant was perfect for us after a full day tour. The pool is nice but closes earlier than we thought. It was a shame the pool bridge was out of action (repairs). The walk down to the beach only took 10 minutes and 15

It was unfortunate that housekeeping don't do a tidy up on Sunday's as this was our last night and needed to replace the towels. They did take out the rubbish though. The beds were comfortable enough but unfortunately the fitted sheets didn't tuck in. The airport shuttle didn't arrive to take us back and luckily there was another person travelling to the airport the same time and ended up calling a cab. The taxi driver said tourist are paying too much for the shuttles and that they are unreliable. Better off taking a taxi!

Huge pool for our daughter to splash and make a lot of noise in without bothering other guests, the apartments had really good sized bedrooms which were nice and clean. The location was great for what we wanted - close enough to Cable Beach and to restaurants such as Zookeepers. The staff were friendly and very helpful at the front desk when I asked them questions. Would definitely stay here again.

The shower head didn't want to stay in position - aside from that everything was great.

Good pools, and grounds. Room was good and spacious, with good deck area. Easy walking distance to Cable Beach Restaurants.

Restaurant wasn't up to scratch. Dined there a couple of nights during our 8 night stay, but very few people did. Meals on offer were limited and quite basic. Security was a concern. You have to physically deadlock the door to make sure its locked. Fell asleep one evening on bed and forgot to check. Was awakened at 2.50am by the door being opened, and whilst we scared the three offenders away, it left us with an uneasy feeling for the rest of our stay, Reported it to management, but it appears to be a regular problem. Fencing at rear of the property has holes which would enable people to gain easy access to the property.

Great location, spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, resort had functional design, nice gardens throughout

Our room was not as clean as it should have been, especially the bathroom. Disappointed the bar was not open for lunch or afternoon drinks and service was very slow, staff did not collect empty glasses or clean tables on any of the 3 occassions I used the bar. The pool had algae right around the water surface that would easily scrub off. Considering the price of the rooms and compared to similar resorts we have stayed in we were disappointed with the standard of service and cleanliness.

The location of the Oaks Cable Beach is good, about a 15-minute walk from Cable Beach. There is a Broome Explorer bus stop immediately outside, which was very convenient. The resort is set out well, centred on the lagoon pool and with two small additional pools to service those blocks not on the lagoon. Our room was good, with an open, spacious layout and comfortable beds. The pools were clean and well-maintained, as were the resort grounds and gardens overall.

Although very good overall, some of the finer detail is missing. Given that my package had no room service for the week, there were only three bath towels (plus two beach towels), and these were quite thin. There was only one face washer and one set of toiletries. Many of the accessory lights—including those over the bed, on the balcony and over the front door—were not working, and two of the three air conditioner remotes needed replacement batteries during our seven-night stay. Our sun lounges had no cushions.

Very clean and functional; facilities good; staff friendly and helpful; gardens and pool facility was very nice - I loved the Boab trees in particular. It is conveniently located to good restaurants in Cable Beach with a bus stop right outside the front door which takes you into the Broome township every 30 minutes. The actual patrolled beach was only a 15-20 minute walk away. Had a studio apartment and the room sizes were generous with good cooking and washing facilities. Also had a balcony which was a good size with sunbeds and a lovely outlook. They have BBQ facilities close to the pool which are cleaned daily. Great for a family or for people who want to be in a peaceful environment which is just a short walk away from where it is all happening.

The restaurant menu was a bit limited and offers the owners a good opportunity - however what was provided was nice.

Spacious room, good kitchen area, view of pool was nice. Balcony was relaxing. Gorgeous grounds and gardens.

Bathroom a bit worn. Kitchen had bare basics, not suitable for staying a week or more. Cutlery was lacking badly. Internet kept dropping out for TV. Bed linen was stained when we arrived.

Location is great as its quiet

Tried to organise late check-in on Saturday morning, and the staff member was insistent that reception closes at 8:30. We were heading out to the community for a funeral and had to leave early to ensure we could check in before 8:30. We have stayed here multiple times over the years, particularly for funerals, and have never had an issue with late check-in before.

cold pool which was locked at sunset, no later checkout available even when rooms available online so not booked out as reception said! unfortunately short staff so bathroom not that clean that also had a constant underlaying smell of sewage. the doona was disgusting under the sheets…. obviously not washed for a long time, thankfully only saw it when leaving, but made me feel a little ill.
