Elk + Avenue Hotel

Great location in the middle of Main strip , all bus stops (city buses , shuttle bus to ski hills) are right in front of the hotel, walking distance to shops, restaurants. Great staff It has two restaurants, can't comment about food because I didn't eat there. Beds are very confortable Reliable Wifi

Mumbling noise lasted the whole night, seems to come from the piping inside the wall. The manager was very reactive and has shown great understanding of the situation , credited one of my two nights and offered to move us to another room the next day. Room decoration cold and a bit worn out.

Location is great, you can buy tickets for Banff tourism spots right on the hotel, you also has the GoodEarth coffee shop which you can reach walking inside without having to go outside(it was cold). There is a bus stop right on the other side of the street for both directions. Comfortable shower and bed, good room size.

The first-floor bathroom was not clean, I believe it's because there is an open restaurant there, but I would say it's important to keep it clean since it's part of the hotel as well. The room bathroom was really clean so no issues there. Parking was great, underground and heated, and pretty cheap!

Location was great and the main lobby was updated and welcoming. The restaurant smelled delicious and was usually pretty busy although we never ate there. The views from our room were amazing. Staff were very helpful.

The picture of the room we booked was not the room we received. The picture on Booking.com showed a family room with living space downstairs and a loft bedroom. The room we received was still considered a family room because it had a living space separate from the bedrooms but it was much smaller and all on the same level. The furniture in the living space was stained.

This property is in the most amazing location! Ealk straight out onto the Main Street of Bann filled with cafes, shops and restaurants but also bus stops to each of the ski mountains inclusive of Lake Louise or sky view restaurant or hot springs. IGA also next door. the hotel has a hot tub a great restaurant and cafe, amazing fireplace lit seating areas spaces in the foyer and overall has a beautiful ‘log cabin’ feel. staff are very friendly!

some deliveries to restaurants early morning made some noise but not too loud

I love the restaurant my server kyle was super attentive and super knowledgeable of all the menu and wine he definitely make my dinner a better experience. And also I want to quote that the hostess Megan was 9amazing she have the perfect attitude for that role. Super friendly super polite and helpful. I was ready to walk out because some dude , I guess is the manager or head waiter was very rude but she turned the situation and I decided to stay . Thank megan for your hospitality and care . I will come back to this place. The hotel is clean and very well located . Restaurant is good the food in really good and wine selection as well fantastic. The only thing to say is the TV channels I the room sucks nothing for kids . And if they had pool will be unbeatable!!!!

Other than the broken elevator, the front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The elevator was broken the entire time, 3 nights.. My traveling companion and I are both seniors with knee problems and found this quite difficult. The desk staff just said, "it's broken." I would have expected them to be more apologetic, and to make up for it in some way. That was disappointing.

Central location with paid underground parking ($5 per night); very conveniently located so you can walk around town and come back to the hotel walking; transit stop nearby to visit nearby tourist locations if you do not want to drive around and be bothered with finding parking; onsite restaurant with a good menu; medium sized room, comfortable beds, friendly staff.

Friendly staff, clean room, clean hallways, clean hot tub & sauna. Beds are very comfortable. Great location in Banff. Easy to get to the stores and the bus route. I also liked the historic photos on the walls and the paintings on the walls.

The water temperature of the hot tub could be hotter. The shower in our room took a long time to dispense hot water after we first got there & took a shower.

Very quiet where we were located. Our room was on the ground floor. Restaurant and bar amazing choices especially because one of my friends is vegan. We stayed 3 nights room was not cleaned but when we asked for supplies like t roll and towels there was no problem.

Room could have been a little bigger. Ground floor room 120 Window view to a garbage bin and walk through. So very loud at some points and people walking by. TV selection not very good. I know peopke dont come to banff to watch tv but could add a few more channels

location was excellent, with a grocery store right outside, if you didn't find what you needed at the amazing cafe. the bus to the hot springs/gondola is right outside the door as well. The windows in the rooms open so you could breath that fresh mountain air, even in the room!

the hot tube was shut down :( but reimbursement for the hot springs was a nice remedy.
