Moose Hotel and Suites

Friendly and helpful staff. Location excellent on main street. Very close to restaurants and shops. Very nicely set up, with chilled atmosphere, nice bar area and decent Italian restaurant. Spacious easy access parking under the hotel.

Expensive! We stayed in 6 other places across Alberta and British Columbia on our holiday (including central Vancouver and Victoria) and this was far and away the most expensive.

The location of the hotel was excellent as it was along the main shopping street/belt and there is a supermarket, the information centre and travel agency for booking tours nearby. The staff at the reception were not very friendly except for Scott who took the trouble to help change our room when the initially allocated one bedroom king suite was on the second floor and along a road with not much of a view. As we need a quiet room as we are light sleepers, we eventually changed the initial room to a room within the hotel/courtyard. Thank you Scott.

We had a problem initially with the One bedroom King Suite first allocated to us as it was supposed to have a mountain view but the only "view" from the room initially allocated was from the balcony which is along a street from the second floor and it was only a partial view of the mountain. That was a real disappointment to us. We wanted a change in the room as the initial room would have road noise and Scott from the reception came up to our initial allocated room, explained the rooms to us and showed us other rooms. Although our request was for a room on a "high floor", we were told that One Bedroom King Suites are only on the second floor.

The atmosphere of the hotel was great, it was clean and the staff were very friendly and willing to help. We loved using the hot tubs, and the massage and spa attached to the hotel were amazing. We had dinner at the restaurant one night, and everyone's meal was delicious and very large servings. Their cocktails were well made and enjoyed both at the bar and through room service. The location was perfect for access to the small town with many shops and attractions within walking distance. There was a bus out front that left for the ski resorts each day. There was underground parking that accommodated our large car, and the rooms were modern, yet had that quaint mountain lodge feel.Couldn't fault the hotel, would definitely stay there again.

The location is perfect, right in Bannf Town, with free underground parking. Excellent studio size with balcony with small kitchenette. Did not have a chance to check out the pool, but seemed pretty cool. Staff were great.

The bedding (mattress, duvet, and pillows) needs an upgrade. We struggled to sleep comfortably during our stay. The bathroom sink was clogged & would fill up with every use. Also, the bathroom was very cold because of an AC vent in the bathroom with no way to turn it off without turning off the room’s AC.

Maybe slightly overpriced

We loved the location of the Moose Hotel and Suites on Banff Ave. It was easy to walk to restaurants and shops, and the IGA grocery store was only 2 blocks away. The free underground parking worked out well. We enjoyed our one bedroom king suite on an upper floor with a balcony. The kitchenette, living room, and spacious bedroom made for a comfortable stay. We liked the mountain ambiance of the hotel, and my husband enjoyed the rooftop hot tub. The staff were helpful and welcoming. We would highly recommend the Moose Hotel and Suites.

If you are looking to explore downtown Banff and surrounding areas, this resort is the place to stay! I can't recommend it enough. Everything about it is beautiful. I highly recommend the suite room. It was so cozy, and we loved coming back to it after exploring all day in the cold! This is a prime location. We walked everywhere and even walked to one of the trailheads we did one morning. The outdoor hot tub has heated tiles. The spa was SO relaxing. Definitely worth booking :)

Nothing!

This hotel was excellent from the moment we arrived, the decor was beautiful and the smell of the fireplace was so inviting. We were greeted by friendly front desk receptionist who were extremely helpful. The desk sent someone to our room right away when we had an issue with our soap dispenser and replaced it promptly. the outdoor hot tub area was breathtaking and had 2 pools plus an indoor pool plus a sauna and a beautiful fireplace. I will definitely be a repeat guest.

No towels left at the pool but we had our room robes so it wasn’t a huge problem.

Location was outstanding - right in the middle of the town with easy access to the free shuttle bus to Sunshine Mountain and Lake Louise. The hotel is big, spacious and clean. There is always a log fire burning in reception which is lovely.

Sometimes the breakfast service was too slow which made for stress to catch our bus to the slopes, but the servers were nice and did their best

Location (shuttle/local bus stop in front), hotel & amenities (attractive aesthetics/ design, rooftop ‘hot tub” pools (2x) are AMAZING), and Service …all Moose employees represented The Moose in an incredibly professional, welcoming and solution oriented manner …everyone embodied the elevated experience Moose promise.
