friendly staff, we’re helpful when I forgot something in the room and had to come back for it they had it ready to go

the view was of the venting, beds were felt crammed into the room and could hear the sound of Laundry running. when I spoke to the desk they first offices me drink vouchers but I was with my teen daughter, then a food voucher for their restaurant but it wouldn’t suit what my daughter eats. upon arrival from a town visit they had upgraded to a higher room . it was more about the venting and the the laundry. I feel they should have in the description that’s it’s a limited view property or something similar . I wasn’t expecting the best view but the view of the venting and roof below made me uncomfortable . along with the sound of the washer and dryer.

Overall our stay was amazing! The staff was all incredibly helpful and kind, the location is great, and it's a perfect place to stay with kids- while still feeling luxurious. They offer a shuttle service to the ferry as well, which is excellent. They offer excellent room service, and we loved the option of ordering your breakfast the night before for room service in the morning. The Lego model of the hotel in the lobby was also a big hit for my family!

There isn't any AC built in to the room, they did have a portable AC unit which kept our main room comfortable. They only had a fan in the bedroom however, which if it were any hotter out would have been uncomfortable. They only have Keurig coffee options in the room, which is fine but our machine was broken and then the second one they brought to replace stopped working as well. They were very kind and helpful about getting us a replacement, just maybe not the most reliable coffee option.

Great location, rooftop bar & breakfast with discount for hotel guests, pool, nice bathroom, spacious, able to give us an early check-in which was wonderful

There’s no central air, just a window unit. Our room had two beds with one being in a separate bedroom, and the window unit was in the living room with the other bed, so the bedroom got very hot and stuffy at night since there was no direct airflow into that room, even with the door open. Would be much better to have central air or a central ventilation system with fans, or at least another window unit for the bedroom

Staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. Well situated to lots downtown. Very clean and well appointed. Air conditioner worked well. Shower was amazing. The restaurant on the 18th floor had an amazing view and my artichoke eggs Benedict was amazing. Nespresso was a nice touch.

The AC was loud. The bed was hard, and we prefer something more medium as we are older. The buffet’s scrambled eggs were cold and we advised the waitress, she apologized, but didn’t do anything to remedy. Elevators are a tad slow for a bank of three.

Very large room with kitchen, living room, bathroom, and separate bedroom. The room was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. The doorman was particularly helpful and attentive. I was suffering with a dizzy spell when I came back to the hotel from dinner. He insured that I was safely seated in the lobby and when I felt better, made sure I got onto the elevator safely.

Only one dislike, the shower came on at full strength, only the temperature could be adjusted not the volume of water. It is the design of the faucet. I have run into that type before in other hotels.

very friendly staff, cocktail bar and restaurant right in the hotel make for a very fun atmosphere. Clean and a great location. fast elevators! hot apple cider in the lobby was a nice touch.

some things are starting to get a bit run down, the hallways feel a bit old and dated and in the hotel room, doors and trim were chipping away and damaged. one bed was comfortable, the other felt like it was slipping off the box spring (but it wasn’t, I guess it was just worn out on one side) pool was FREEZING! We are used to cold lakes so we still got in, but I was hoping for a more comfortable pool time. it’s also difficult to get to.. lots of stairs and hallways. over all I think the hotel needs a few upgrades but the majority of our stay was wonderful.

The location of this hotel is perfect! Easy to walk everywhere you need to in downtown Victoria - up to Chinatown, over to the waterfront, and down to the parliament buildings, Beacon Hill Park, and Empress hotel. We really loved that it was pet friendly, had an indoor pool/hot tub, and a great restaurant (Vista 18) with a view at the top (we went for breakfast and it was really good)! The staff were all very friendly and the place was clean - will stay here again!

Parking was $15 per day and we wish it had been complementary. Especially since the parking lot was not locked and was open to the public.

location, beautiful finishes everywhere, restaurant and lounge-bar on site, adjacent parking, quiet elevators, on-site gym and laundry, 24-hour front desk staff, king suite with kitchen well appointed.

As an American from Texas I was expecting central A/C or wall units when ‘air conditioning’ was listed as an amenity in booking.com. The portable A/C unit was located in living room of suite and while it provided cold air, the bedroom around the corner was less cool. the separate little fan did help but I would have strongly preferred separate A/C in the bedroom as I am a ‘hot’ sleeper. Parking could be better but I realize parking can be tough in city center area.

Chateau Victoria is in a great location and it is easy to walk to many local places of interest. Secure parking was also available. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We stayed in a One-Bedroom suite which had a separate lounge area. The room was very comfortable and there was a small kitchenette with a microwave. The hotel has a lovely lobby and bar. On the top floor is a restaurant with spectacular views over the city. We had cocktails there one evening and good breakfasts on two days.

A couple of outdoor chairs would have been useful on the balcony.

The location was excellent, easily walkable to the shops and restaurants near the inner harbor. The room was spacious and the view (from the 14th floor) was beautiful. The hotel was very clean and the staff were welcoming. I usually travel with my own pillow because I'm picky but didn't have the space in my suitcase. Luckily the pillows were fantastic!

The beds were too hard for my liking and someone on our floor was smoking a ton of marijuana which was wafting into our room. I called the front desk and they came up right away and sprayed air freshener of some kind throughout the hall. For the price of the hotel I assumed it would have (built-in)AC but that was not the case. There was one portable unit in the living room and an old, weak fan in the bedroom. We called and they brought us a second fan. We kept them all running all the time and the room did cool down but the situation was unexpected for a higher end hotel.
