Quiet room. I just wanted somewhere to sleep and explore Victoria, so I found the place just right. It is on Douglas Street, a main one into downtown Victoria. I could walk to the main seafront in about 20 minutes, or catch one of the many buses. an all day bus ticket is five dollars. The room itself was roomy - two double beds and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. Comfortable bed, microwave and coffeemaker. And The Castello cafe next door does a wide choice of breakfasts!

For the price this place was fine. I didn't leave a window open at night - there were patio doors onto a balconey, so I didn't think it was completely secure if the doors were open, and kept them closed when I was asleep.

The hotel staff is excellent. They help to sort out issues that are not even related to staying at the hotel. Always friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and well maintained. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. I always focus on the price of staying in a hotel and do not have excessive requirements. For the money that I spent on staying at the hotel, was everything I needed. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron, ironing board. There is enough furniture in the room. The sleeping mattresses are very comfortable. Bed linen, towels are clean, in the required quantity. I recommend it to anyone who cares about a friendly atmosphere and walking distance from all the sights of the city.

We were travelling a long way, tired and needed a place to stay quickly as the sun was setting soon. I booked online and accidentally chose the incorrect date! I quickly rebooked for the correct date and sent a request to cancel and refund the one I did wrong and by the time I received my room key, the hotel and Booking.com both worked quickly together to correct my silly mistake! We had a very comfortable sleep after a very long drive and a week of camping leading up to our stay! The location could be considered a bit 'sketchy', lots of homeless around, but no one was a nuisance of any kind, and there is a TON of shops, restaurants, bars etc all within walking distance. The staff were super friendly every time we passed by the desk. Would definitely stay here again! :)

Nothing!

I liked that my room was close to the stairs and the elevator so I could get to and from my room easily. I enjoyed the underground secure parking. Located very close to Chinatown and only a 25-minute walk to Parliament. Guest laundry worked well and was easily located.

The second floor was a sauna the entire week I was here. I had my window open the entire time. It was only this floor, but I managed to get my room cooled down. The whole room could use a deep clean.

Cheapest place we found that's closest to downtown. It has outside and basement parking. Felt safe to leave my car. Place maybe dated, but since we are mostly outside we were able to spend the money that was supposed to go to the room to other stuff like food and entrance feel to attractions. Family friendly place. Love the firmness of the bed. Slept well. Beddings felt clean.

Just the faucet at the sink. It's way to close to the side. Doesn't leave enough space when running the water. Replace it with a higher and longer faucet.

Very central location bus stop from airport just 3 mins walk to the hotel. China Town is also 5 mins walk at the back of the hotel n also the various other attractions like the famous Empress Hotel, IMAX theatre, the Muzeum, and the famous Government Road where all the souvenir shops, n restaurants are and it only about 10 mins walk away from the hotel.

Nothing. I will go and stay at this hotel being so central in downtown and accessible by bus to all the attractions. We miss going to miniature world because it was closed on Mon n Tue but we had a write up about it in the Empress Hotel foyer and we will go there when we next return. We really enjoyed our stay in Victoria and staying at this hotel.

Enjoyed the size of the queen (more like king) sized bed and room. Love the location as it was within walking distance to the Victoria Public Market, the Inner Harbour, the Royal BC Museum, the Hotel Empress, the Legislature Building and Chinatown. The staff are friendly and hard working and the gentleman at the front desk made check-in go very smoothly. Definitely will return to this motel on another multi-day trip to Victoria.

Some minor maintenance and upkeep would be nice…the bathroom faucet was loose and needed to be more solid. Other than that, everything else was good.

The room was great, a little dated but very comfortable and good value for money.

The hotel would not allow me to amend my booking dates even though they had availability they said they did not. I booked an extra night expecting to have to change rooms but I did not need to because the rooms were the same. I should have cancelled and re-booked as I was still within the free cancellation period.

For the value of the Inn, it was great. Close enough to Downtown to be convenient & quiet enough to get a good rest.

The unknown $100 deposit that is credited back to the card in 1 or 2 days…. I prepaid for our 2 night stay, and when we checked in, I was asked for my card to have on file, just in case….. nowhere does it state this is when booking.
