The room was a good size and very clean. We had a room on the upper floor with balcony. It had a bistro table and chairs and overlooked the courtyard. Lots of plants and greenery. 2 nice sitting rooms. The breakfast was basic but very good. A selection of fruit, buns, a few pastries and sliced ham and beef. Ice, water, and pop available any time. Coffee was out to have early. The owner Tim was very friendly and chatty. In a nice neighborhood a block and half from the main street. The courtyards were pretty, lots of greenery.

The balcony could use a freshen up and stain. It did not spoil the ambiance, and we really enjoyed sitting there.

We have stayed at the Blairpen before and will stay again. It is a lovely inn located very close to the main street. They offer a satisfying breakfast as shown. The room has coffee, tea and cookies and a small fridge to keep your wine chilled. There is a frdge in the hall which is stocked with cold drinks and filtered water for guests to enjoy. Our room had access to a beautiful garden patio. This is a lovely inn and a great place to stay for a relaxing few days in the Niagara area. Oh, and our bathroom had a 2x magifying mirror which is really important to me these days!

Blairpen House is an oasis just two blocks from the main street. It's charming, with lovely outdoor spaces (including a wonderful screened porch) and two beautifully appointed sitting rooms. Our room was spotless, very comfortable and quiet. It had a balcony so we could sit out and greet the morning listening to birdsong. The breakfast was a lovely buffet, again served in a spotless dining room that was bright and cheerful. We feel that Blairpen House is an exceptional value for all that it offers.

That we could have stayed longer!

Great location, nice common areas and outdoor patio. Friendly and welcoming staff. the breakfast buffet was not especially interesting, but I really appreciated the fresh fruit salad and the hot milk (I love hot milk for my coffee).

It was a bit warm upstairs on a hot day - the extra fan helped, but a little more a/c would help. I would also like extra blinds - the outdoor lighting made the room too bright for my personal liking at night.

Tim, the host was so friendly and extremely helpful. All rooms have walk outs to two fabulous garden spaces. Although I don’t eat breakfast, it looked fabulous and other guests I was speaking to said how wonderful it was. I will certainly return to Blairpen and highly recommend staying there, you will not be disappointed!

The gardens were amazing to have breakfast in - gorgeous bamboo trees and birds. I appreciated there was a little garage the owner offered for us to store our bikes in. A very quiet and peaceful place. Very clean. Kind staff. Little tomatoes we were allowed to pick and eat. Had enough privacy.

I get hot easily so I was glad there was a little fan in the room because of course heat rises in houses so the main floor was cooler than our room.

The room was nice and comfortable. I loved that you could just step outside into the back patio and it was very pretty. It was great for being close to downtown. I had recently had a knee replacement, so the location was excellent. Breakfast was OK being that it had to be self serve due to COVID. I would come again!

The second night I was there, the people above me were very loud and noisy and there isn't really anyone around at night to complain to. They were up until at least 3:00 AM. I almost pounded on the ceiling LOL.

Excellent location, spotlessly clean, wonderful welcome from owner, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Great continental breakfast, free soft drinks, wifi and parking. Fridge in the room, wine glasses etc. Loved the courtyard area, our room overloooked it from the balcony. Rooms are not modern but have everything you need, it fits in with the quaintness of the town. Will definitely return!!!!!!!

Absolutely nothing not to like about Blairpen Inn!!!!!

The Inn was beautiful, the host so friendly, welcoming and gracious, the location perfect, parking so convenient, breakfast delicious. All great! Only complaint for us was the coffee was not strong enough for our taste - but having it available early and with warm milk was lovely and appreciated.

Again, our only disappointment was rather weak coffee but our tastes run to strong coffee!

Breakfast was great! Location to all things - super amazing! Room - was spacious! And the courtyard is beautiful! Balcony - it was great when travelling with others to congregate and relax drinking wine in a private outdoor space…like having a suite with a shared door.

Did not enjoy the guests below us were constantly smoking when we were trying to enjoy sitting outdoors on our patio and especially during breakfast. Not sure if smoking guests can be in another area of the Inn away from non smoking guests or be asked to smoke in an area which isn’t a shared common space with other guests. We are no longer used to being subjected to breathing cigarette smoke. Bed was a bit too firm for us.
