Holiday Inn Express - Niagara-On-The-Lake, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was great, but it was chaotic to be honest. So many guests and not really respecting the efforts of the staff. The staff somehow kept up with keeping all the food fully stocked, so great job to them! The pool was very nice, with nice big windows that made you feel like you were outside. The lounging area was also nice. The gym was awesome, the laundry room. The rooms were also big, and everything was clean. The staff for the most part were friendly. The location was great, 15 minutes from the falls and from the wineries. Great central spot.

I feel like for the price, it's a little pricey, but I understand due to covid this is the reality. Not much else to complain about, it was as advertised. We would come back.

Everything was Wonderful, Is very clean beautiful hotel. The breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The only thing that upset me was that I noticed they added $10 per room (we had 2 rooms side by side) I had booked 2 rooms for December but do to a family funeral I had to change the date for January 29th, They told me there would be no extra fee but I did notice on my credit card an extra $10 per room. I feel they snuck that in without telling me and just a little disappointed on that.. other than that, great hotel.

Hotel is nice and shiny and new and clean, with all the latest features. Staff was friendly & professional, bed was comfortable, HVAC was adjustable, bathroom was a good size (with no bathtub), breakfast was excellent. Our room was right next to the elevator, and we worried about noise, but we didn't hear it at all. We booked the day before and had no troubles. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Hotel was advertised as being in Niagara-on-the-Lake, but it's basically in St. Catharines. Easy to get to, once you've mastered the accursed freeway X-interchange off the QEW.

Hotel was clean, swimming pool was right temperature & clean. Food was good with a GF option for my son.

I took my dog for a walk & afterwards found three ticks on him. They were deer ticks that carry Lyme Disease. I have Lyme disease (before my stay). This is very disturbing. Please post signs advising guests that there are ticks in the area of the long grass. I would hate for anyone to go through what I have gone through with Lyme Disease. One more issue, we had trouble with the back door. We went around the building because the back entrance was closer to the elevators for our room. We were trying to get into the Staybridge hotel back door. A sign saying Staybridge Hotel Entrance would have saved us grief. After about 5 minutes, another guest, who had the same problem, were walking by & redirected us to the correct entrance.

Rooms are very well laid out and practical. Smart ideas … ledge and grab bar in shower, ledge in room foyer, lighting, soap dispenser in shower. Nice towels. Very clean. Lots of great lounging space in lobby. Staff extraordinary. Lots of extra nice touches like tuck shop, outdoor patio and laundry facility. Good breakfast options and good coffee. Nice gym.

AC in room is very noisy. A bit surprising for such a new facility. Bathroom fan would also be nice.

The location is great and very peaceful, close to the highway and the outlet mall. The room given to us was big and they heeded my request for a room with a tub (they gave us the mobility room). The beds are very comfortable. We also liked the layout of the room. It was very spacious! Breakfast was good but we were hoping for pancakes and waffles for the kids. The staff were very friendly and warm.

The room and the entire hotel is actually clean though we found a dead fly on the window area. It is on the lower part so maybe it was not seen by the cleaners. Maybe they can make a last check on all corners and do a final dusting to make sure every part of the room is clean.

Breakfast was a hot breakfast - nothing special but above my expectations. Staff were very very pleasant and extremely helpful. Hotel was clean and had everything we needed. Fridge and microwave were also great to have.

Wish there was atleast one bottle of water in the room when we arrived. Would recommend staying here with a car as not very accessible with transit/on a bike.

We are returning customers who always choose the Holiday Inn Express during our annual wine tasting weekend. The location is great, near the mall and a short drive to all the wineries. Rooms are large with comfortable beds and amenities. Nice large shower and quality products available for us. Staff is super helpful and attentive and greeted us with a warm smile. Lots of variety for breakfast and very plentiful.

Some noise issues with the heating/fan.

The breakfast was yummy, we brought our two dogs and they were welcomed with a doggy bone which we were not expecting. The staff was so lovely to us and the dogs. They made us feel very welcomed. My family used the pool and loved that it was warm. The bed was super comfortable and our floor also had other dogs and we didn't hear any barking from other rooms. Great location in between Niagara Falls and the wineries. We had a great time!

They had us write on a piece of paper the items we wanted for breakfast to avoid a buffet style service. But what happened was that it made a large line up of people to wait to pick up the food. It would have been great to fill out the information the day before and pick a time of 30 minutes to 1 hour and receive it. To avoid making a large group line up.
