Days Inn by Wyndham Ottawa West

The location is close by restaurants, grocery stores. Quiet area, parking is not a problem. Breakfast was awesome! Friendly and attentive staff.

Very long wait to be accommodated by the receptionist, they only have 1 staff to accomodate all the guests' reservations. Furniture in the room were outdated. Airconditioning was noisy had a hard time sleeping. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Bathroom was small. No microwave. We still have to ask staff to give us extra towels and toiletries as the ones in the room were only good for two people despite the room I booked is a family room.

Location is very convenient. Close to a big plaza that you can find supermarket, coffee shop, and restaurants. You can tell the room is a bit out dated, but they maintain good cleanliness. Staff at the front desk was very friendly. Even the house keeping crew were super welcoming. My daughter forgot her toy and I emailed the hotel two days after our stay, but the staff was still very helpful finding it and keeping it. Over all, we have a nice & warm experience with this hotel.

Honestly, it was very refreshing to have really clean rooms. The fact that things were cleaned/sterilized/wrapped when we got in was great. It suited our needs very well

The breakfast. 100%. Some items thrown into a paper bag for us to take on our way out - very disappointing. Not even having coffee available. Also no choice in what we wanted to take so some must go to waste for sure. Another very important point, that no access card was needed when entering the hotel by the back, in addition to the front desk being empty at night, anyone could walk in at anytime - big security concern.

the receptionist staff was very friendly. when I checked up, there were other guest that didn’t speak English and the young lady did her best to communicate with them. very patient. my room was clean. no smoke smells. property was VERY clean.

breakfast was a “grab and go bag” that consisted of a small muffin, juicebox and fruit cup. online photos make it seem like it is a continental breakfast with eggs, cereal, bread etc.. towels were very hard. HARD HARD. they definitely use bleach to wash them and they were very clean and white. a little softener or dry sheets would go a long way.

Good Days Inn hotel with all expectations fulfilled. Reasonably clean room, super comfy beds and a little noisy Aircon. Hotel has a plenty of parking slots and construction does not interfere with one's wellbeing. Would recommend to others.

A little hassle to pay by overseas card as it often does not get through. It resulted in double transaction. I believe this is nothing to do with Days Inn.

The hotel is conveniently located near many amenities such as grocery, fuel and restaurants. It was clean and lots of parking. The room was spacious with a large bed and stocked washroom.

There was no microwave in the room. Also I was told I had to leave a $200 deposit as I was paying with my Visa debit and shortly thereafter, as I was waiting for my husband to arrive, I overheard the same attendant request a $50 deposit from a couple older than ourselves. We are in our mid fifties so we thought it was unusually high for a deposit at $200. The wall heater also made weird noises due to its age.

The room was spacious and we had everything we needed. It was perfectly located for us and the price point was exactly what we wanted it to be. We were not to sure what to expect, but we were happily surprised. Overall great experience and we will definitely return!

Due to COVID, we received a bag for breakfast. It was decent, but we stayed in other hotels since COVID that offered a better options (i.e breakfast sandwich that could be warmed up, more beverages options, etc.), so it could be a nice add on. The other more "negative" point is that there was no mini-fridge or microwave in the room, which could have been very practical :)

The room was nice and had what I needed (coffee maker/fridges/tv/free parking/heater&AC combo). But that isnt why they are getting 5 stars from me ; our time in Ottawa got messed up a little after checking out. We were here to support the truckers- like many and OUR trucks fan belt decided to fall off. Lucky for us this hotels staff were just the best people. They had no problem giving my room back to me (despite it being passed check out) and allowing my 6 year old (whom is non-verble and ASD), our dog and I back in for a few hours well my boyfriend got our car fixed. Joe a staff member at the hotel even help my BF under the hood to figure out what the problems were. Over all was a fantastic experience with this hotel.

Fan in bathroom didn't work.

Hotel was close to food, amenities and pot shop across the street all in walking distance. we were in town for a concert so Uber was fast, reliable and inexpensive. Hotel was clean, quiet and staff was very pleasant.

Breakfast was really busy and there was no rush to fill waffle machine, eggs or yogurt. Ended up just eating plain toast after waiting for 15 min for staff to fill waffle machine or refill anything.

Quiet building(just not some people), accommodating staff, clean, coffee machines in room, great location. Had some Internet problems and the staff went above and beyond to help me with this.

My neighbours were at first noisy but the staff relocated me to a quieter room so ok. The pillows were a bit rough if you're a belly sleeper but I realize most hotels have this kind of pillows. I would have liked to see more people masked as COVID is still around but I realize the mask mandate was lifted indoor.
