Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites

I liked that the property was a 10 minute car ride to all the activities we planned for our trip. It was easy to grab an Uber and go anytime we wanted. It was nice to be able to have the option to refrigerate and heat up food as well. We really loved our little balcony too! Loading and unloading the car was super easy. We felt like convenience was really highlighted with all the amenities offered.

I wished the bath towels were bigger, but not really a big deal. We wished the coffee maker used the pods we brought, but again not the hotel’s fault.

Was my first stay and it was a great stay it was spacious clean and comfortable..we all enjoyed staying there and will surely be coming back the don valley is and will be our first choice as long as we are staying in Toronto, once these service doesn’t change thank you don valley.

There was only 2 elevator working so there was a lot of people waiting and the only elevator takes a While luckily was on the third floor…but after a exhausting day I wouldn’t like climbing stairs. But otherwise everything was exceptionally

Was nice rooms and pool outside was disappointed that the hot tub was out of service.

Front desk worker gave me attitude when I told them both my room air conditioners filters were very dirty and I cleaned them. She gave me grief for cleaning them my self. When they looked like they had not been cleaned this year at all. Also I had told her for 2 days they had not added a paper towel to the main lobby bath room for past 2 days. I liked the hotel and location but not the attitude from the front desk lady.

The service, facilities . . Felt very self-contained, no need to leave the premises for either food or distraction, ideal when in recovery from tiring journey.

Room was adequate but nothing special - though apparently some have balconies! Location a long way from downtown with complicated public transport links, so that going anywhere at all seemed like an enormous effort. Hiring a car made all the difference! NB A new tram station just outside is under construction which should help.

Staff at front desk and restaurant were awesome, friendly and helpful. Wonderful to be able to take the dog. The two pools were great for kids, room was typical size and clean. Our room had a forest view which made it not feel like you were in the city. Food was very good. Great location made for easy access to everywhere we were going in the car.

Generally the hotel doesn't look clean, especially the drive up entrance and halls (luggage ramp smelled strongly of urine) but the room was perfectly clean. Our room was very far from the elevator and with a heavy 4 month old puppy it was a long carry to get her outside (maybe consideration of room location for dog owners?). Also, there were no garbage receptacles outside so nowhere to put the dog poop. The indoor pool was cloudy and lots of hair etc first day, it looked better the second day.

it was the night of the snows torm Friday Mar 3 and everyone was staying in for dinner. The cafe was overcrowded and r there was only ONE employee who was cleaning tables, taking orders, mixing drinks and serving. Only ONE person. He was run off his feet and doing his best to keep everyone happy, ... a young Asian man. He was excellent but way overworked. We left him a good tip but he deserves a raise!He was pleasant and accommodating the entire time. Don Valley Suites would do well to hire more employees like him!

I come to Toronto every 8 weeks for a medical procedure its a nice relaxing atmosphere very quiet.

The smell of the marajuana was very strong in the hallways and in the parking area outside, the room we stayed in 250 wasnt as clean as i would have liked, I dont believe the windows had been washed for quite some time there was dust on the furniture again that had not been dusted in a couple of weeks.

Great restaurant and bar with a wonderful bartender what it lacked in atmosphere was made up for with good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Unusual for hotels.

Ordered a taxi from front desk who didn’t advise us was not coming as they had forgotten which room ordered it. The lack of taxis was due to a Muslim religious holy day/ festival which prevented the majority of the drivers from working and apparently they make up 90%. This made us very late for an important 50th wedding anniversary. Perhaps in future there could be more awareness of events that have a catastrophic adverse affect on guests ability to to accomplish the reason for their stay. Of course we are older and don’t do on line transport.

Room size was good, same with bathroom. Check in-out was quick and seamless Service good.

The beds aren't really comfortable, unfortunately was tossing and turning. It seems like they are starting to age so you are feeling the springs. The quality of the bedsheets were also not the greatest. Sounds really silly, and I've never had to say this before but they were too crispy/loud. Sounded like were using grocery/plastic bags. This won't prevent us from returning as the location is prime but just providing honest feedback :)

Pool was a nice atmosphere. It was a cold day so I didn’t swim, just sat in a lounger, but many swimmers were enjoying themselves.

Parking lot gives impression you need to pay before entering the hotel. Turns out it is slightly cheaper to pay for parking inside the hotel. Signs should indicate that anyone staying at the hotel should wait to pay for parking at the front desk.
