This hotel is absolutely perfectly situated for those who want to experience the magic of Vieux Québec. It is beautifully maintained and clean, exceptionally quiet, and the staff were the most friendly hotel staff I have ever encountered. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. WHEN we return to Québec we WILL be staying at hotel Manoir Morgan again.

There was nothing I didn't like, but if I had to say anything it would be that there should be more clear signs to find the check in desk. It is not actually on the floor of the door you walk in. Luckily everyone is super friendly and will help you find it.

The location was beyond expectations, being located immediately adjacent to the most prominent landmark in the city. A very nice vibe in the area as well.

Parking was at a public lot about an 8 minute walk away, which we did not know prior to arrival. This was not convenient for two seniors like myself and my wife. Further, there was a bicycle race in the city scheduled for the day of our departure. The staff did not do anything to help us try and leave the next day! We had to find our way out at 7:30 and even at that early hour I was unable to get my car to the hotel to pick up our luggage. If we hadn't left that early we would have been literally stuck for the day and missed our next lodgings.

It all started with the terrific location across from the promenade and a convenient minutes walk from the restaurant districts either up or down the hill. We were greeted by the effervescent Martin at reception who was nothing short of delightful after what had been a very long day of travel from Newfoundland due to flight delays. Martin ensured we knew exactly what to expect of our room and despite the fact we chose a smaller room or ‘lovers’ as Martin referred to it, we found the space perfect for us and our 3 suitcases. Even the double bed was surprisingly spacious. The room was equipped with a safe and set up like a studio enabling equal access to the toilet and shower separately. Despite being in such a popular area with a lot of foot traffic both in the hotel and in front of it, we were pleasantly surprised with how sound proof the exterior noise was from inside our room. We only experienced a little corridor noise but outside of that this was a really fabulous stay!

Wish we’d stayed longer!

24 hour desk though after 5 pm, needed to be buzzed in. At first was difficult to hear over the street noise. Once I was buzzed in, easy to navigate to second floor reception. The room is new, modern, sleekly decorated and furnished. High ceilings, nice hot water and good water pressure. Good sound proofing of windows.

Please provide more than one small soap bar. There are no liquid soap dispensers so this one very small, not very sudsy bar was supposed to do double duty at sink as well as in shower. One must navigate about 7 steps to enter the ground floor of the building that is the Quebec Tourist bureau during daytime hours. There is no hotel door person to assist with big or heavy bags on arrival. I could manage but not all guest could. I'm sure someone would come down if requested.

The hotel was excellently located for getting around by foot. In the heart of it all. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Modern and spots out front to unload luggage before heading off to park my vehicle.

We were travelling with someone using a wheelchair. We had to use a side entrance that was locked, so had to get let in each time we went out in the evening. It is central, which means it comes with a lot of outside noise. Great singers and live music in the street...but if you are an early to bed person, just bring earplugs. It is also a Tourist Centre in the daytime, so lots of people around.

Amazing location. Right across iconic Chateau Frontenac and steps away from the promenade. At walking distance from all the historic sites that are a must see in Old Quebec City. Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms decorated with a modern touch. Very clean. Room service on request. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Information Centre located on the main floor which facilitates booking city tours and excursions to surrounding areas (the one to Montmorency Falls and I’le d’Orleans highly recommended).

Amazing location, beautiful newly-refurbished room with a great view and very friendly staff. Martin on the Concierge desk was fabulous and very kindly provided us with tea bags and explained we could use the Nespresso machine for hot water. The hotel is brilliantly located, especially for an evening of wandering around old Québec and the adjacent bistro serves wonderful food. We also appreciated being able to leave our bags after check-out. We're probably unlikely to return to Québec City, so this stay will always be a wonderful memory.

Only one thing; a breakfast room would make this hotel perfect.

Excellent central location... bustling during the day, quiet and atmospheric at night. Pulling up to the place I was a bit concerned with the integrated visitors center, I was worried it would be a pricey hostel. However, the upstairs reception area was hip and swanky, and we were greeted by the most welcoming (and very patient with my Duolingo French) staff... I feel terrible I didn't write down his name, but he seemed like he wanted us to be there and had some quick very helpful tips and recommendations. Inside the room, I really liked the high ceilings and front row view of the Place d'Armes and Hotel Frontenac... We were able to enjoy close up views of the grand hotel without paying Fairmont prices! This place looked exactly like the website. I also loved the parking... it was a scenic block away and was ample and inexpensive. (I'm still shocked!) I want to give an excellent review, but if I make it sound too good, it will be booked up and unaffordable! So, don't go here when I like to travel but go when I'm at work please...

There wasn't anything I didn't like... maybe a small fitness area or some partnership with a fitness center - definitely not a necessity but if I had to give some recommendation. Also, a loading parking space out front specifically for this hotel would be a perk, but again not a necessity.

Our time at Manoir Morgan was amazing!! We arrived before the time of checkin and it was okay, they let us in because the room was ready. Extremely clean, well set up and a lot of space!! Also, the kindness of the staff was something remarkable. Talking about location: PERFECT! We could do everything by foot because it’s located really at the heart of Quebec City. I would totally recommend staying at Manoir because of the location, the quality of the rooms and the kindness of the staff.

If you are not staying at the Hotel Frontenac then this is probably the 2nd best location as it is right on the plaza between the two hotels and is walking distance to everything. Some of the Deluxe King rooms have 17' high ceilings which are quite stately and grand. The front desk staff (all three we met) were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

The only thing preventing this review from being a 10 is there are no fitness facilities, swimming pools, sauna, etc.
