Hotel Cavtat

After being jammed into Walled Cities and paying top dollars for mediocre hotels with concaved mattresses, Hotel Cavtat was a joy. Our experience with Hotel Cavtat was a 4+. The service was impeccable. We took the hotel because it was close to Dubrovnik's airport and frankly not very costly, so we weren't expecting much. What a wonderful surprise! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and modern. Our hotel room looked like it had a recent renovation, with attractive modern furniture. The room on the first floor and when the sliding glass window was closed, we didn't hear a sound outside our room. All the amenities were of higher quality than we expected. The bedding was top quality, (400 thread.) The shower and water pressure were great. The restaurant and poolside snack shack were lovely. The Spa was great. We also enjoyed walking down the boardwalk and checking out all the quaint restaurants and shops. It's easy to grab a water taxi to do Dubrovnik (10 minute boat ride that lets you off right by the Walled City). The money you save staying at Hotel Cavtat is pretty substantial. The ride to the airport was about 15 minutes and about 20 Euros.

That we had stayed there longer! More open hours at the spa.

The hotel is probably in the best location in Cavtat. You are only a few minutes walk from the historic strip of restaurants on the bay, but removed enough that your room is very quiet in the evenings. The walking trail to the north is amazing as well. Our room had a great view of the sea and the staff was very kind and professional and the rooms were clean. Breakfast is enormous and has a great selection as well!

We might be spoiled Americans, but we found the beds to be strangely uncomfortable for such a nice hotel. We knew our bed would be two twins pushed together -- not a deal breaker for us, but the mattresses were super-firm and uneven. At only 30 years old I found myself waking up 2-3 times a night trying to get comfortable. We have no fancy mattress at home, just a regular medium firm bed, so it was really odd. I would easily give the hotel a 9 or 10 if they swap out for new mattresses, since the main point of the hotel is to sleep there.

The hotel is located in a breathtaking bay surrounded by pine trees with a good selection of restaurants nearby. The room we booked had a great view, was clean and bright and sufficient storage for clothes, plugs and hooks, breakfast selection choices of foods very good, with a panoramic window of the bay to enjoy your meal. Other facilities, lounge area sun deck, infinity pool, and beauty treatments. Hotel staff all very pleasant and receptionists are very helpful. All speak English fluently, so no communication barriers, our first Croatian holiday, we loved it in Cavtat

We do not like machine dispensing coffee with powder milk, we prefer waitress served brewed coffee in pots We did not like the uncomfortable chairs supplied on balcony, 1960s inspired vinyl stranded chairs were difficult to get out of, we would prefer a small type of armed recliner with foot support, something foldable as well

Fabulous room with the most amazing view. It was kept spotlessly clean. Location could not have been better, all the staff were lovely.

The pool is too small for the size of hotel and lots of selfish people put their towels down very early morning and then disappeared, so it was very difficult to actually use a sun lounger. Would have been nice to have been served tea and coffee at breakfast as the queues for the machine were long and they kept running out putting pressure on staff to refill. Would have been nice to have had some food to order.

The breakfast was very good Especially the guys who were standing by to cook the eggs for all the hungry guests . This was top quality and always with a smile Good on you Hotel Cavtat . I loved the swimming … location to dive into under bay from the bottom of the steps. I hope to return Thank you 🎶🙏🤗

Beautiful interiors, really spotless, good breakfast selection. Pool was beautiful, amazing views. Lovely spacious room with sea view and bathroom, good shower. Comfortable beds

Pool area , very limited amount of sun beds. Had to get up and ‘reserve’ at 8 am every morning when area opened. I got there at 8 am on the dot but it must have opened slightly earlier and there were no beds left! Pool bar has ice cream painted on the wall, but they didn’t sell ice creams or milk shakes which was disappointing as it’s one of my fave things about holiday around the pool!

Excellent hotel, just few meters away from the beach, the bus stop, the city center and the restaurants. Breakfast was really good and the buffet offers a lot of choices, the room was big and bright even though mine was on the parking lot side. The staff was super friendly (especially the Kyrgyzstan girl!) and very helpful. I really recommend this place and I may come back in the future for a nice holiday.

The air conditioning system did not always work but it wasn't really a problem since the weather wasn't so hot. The bathroom did not have a fan and the rooms were cleaned up quite early in the morning.

I liked the location of the property, beautiful views from my room and nice and relaxing environment and staff seemed friendly and helpful :) also good air con system my room was always nice and chilly when i came back.

The balcony isn’t completely closed off to the people next door and unfortunately i had people that smoked next to me and couldn’t have my door open whilst they were out on their balcony otherwise my room stunk of smoke, i could also hear them through the walls quite clearly having conversation and also others during the night going back to their rooms.

Very clean and comfy beds and pillows. Nice view of the little harbor. ( not the busy main promenade harbor which is a very short walk. This is a better location ) Wonderful staff all around. From Dora and other people at front desk to Maria at pool bar. Vincent “Vinko” for a massage at the hotel, can not be missed! He is really good and very experienced. Massages in Croatia are very reasonably priced. It was the highlight of one if my wonderful days in Cavtat. If we had been there longer, would have scheduled another.

Stylish rooms with comfy beds. Modern and spacious bathroom. Location right on the sea front with roped off swimming area but no beach as such.

Breakfast was very busy with long queues for coffee machines when most guests just wanted hot water. A separate hot tap or Urn would alleviate this. Hotel should think about giving guests time slots so that everyone doesn't arrive at 9am. We booked a double bed room but were given a twin with beds pushed together but reception were very good and gave us a free late checkout to compensate.
