Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik

We love almost everything about the hotel. The inside and outside design of the building, the decorations and colors of the lobby, restaurant, bar and rooms. The breakfast was really good and very good dinner meal we had one evening. Great location, walking distance to the old town and to many restaurants.

We were looking forward to use the swimming pool, specially our 11 years old son was very excited to use the swimming pool but got really sad when he touch the water since it was very cold. We were not happy about this since it says of the hotel facilities that has heated swimming pool but that was definitely not the case. He didnt go in, nor my wife. They were both very disappointed about this. Other than this, everything else was great!

Gorgeous hotel within a few strides of the old town was. The best hotel in Dubrovnik. Staff are exceptionally attentive. We always felt. Looked after. Great bar with plenty of different drink and food options. Breakfast was probably the best selection we've ever had a hotel. Continental style, hot food, great coffee, loads of fruit, juices, yoghurts etc. Even some sparkling wine. Standard room was large, bright and well stocked. Bathroom was perfect for getting ready in the evenings. Housekeeping start did a great job every day and always stocked up our refreshments. Most tours offer the Hilton garage as a pickup point so very handy if you are planning tours. Reception and consierge staff were brilliant in booking taxis for us whenever needed. Gym was well equipped and locker room was good. Didn't use the pool but it looked very nice.

Closer to the old town than the other 5* hotels. Very comfortable. Managed to be busy and almost normal despite the pandemic palaver clinging on in other places. Great taxi services and restaurant recommendations.

No complimentary bottled water in the room after the first night’s ‘welcome water’. Fortunately the mini market across the road was there for us to buy a couple of bottles each evening. Can’t believe the Hilton thought this <€2 saving on their part wouldn’t damage the 5* experience. You don’t see people returning with supermarket bags in other hotels at this price point. Beware ‘welcome water’ in your travels. It’s a leading indicator of self-defeating cost cutting.

The location was first rate. The breakfast buffet and hot items offered were very good. The breakfast service team was exceptional!

I understand that these are trying times but The Hilton did not enforce the Covid 19 mandates. Signs were posted but guests were not "reminded" to wear facemasks by the staff. We found this especially disturbing at the buffet. We spoke to management several times about our concerns to little or no avail. Because of this we would not stay there again.

The location is great for the old town, a couple of minutes walk from Pile Gate. The hotel itself is stylishly decorated, with spacious and clean rooms and a lovely bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet has to be one of the best I've ever had - the food is all really fresh and delicious. We tried the pool and sauna and while the pool is quite small, it was quiet and relaxing there. The staff were very helpful and were able to book us cabs etc.

This is an incredibly small point but a couple of times the cleaning staff were overly keen and wanted to clean our room quite early in the day (10-11am). Next time I would leave the "do not disturb" on the door if I was wanting to have a lie in!

The receptionist giving us warm welcome and very pleasant to have her as it gives us a very good impression on this hotel.The bellboy was very helpful. The waitress that bring us for our seat for breaksfast were friendly and always gives us a warm smile that make us feel like home for this 4 days. The room was excellent. We definitely will come back again. Location were perfect.

My parents were asking a waiter who is wearing spectacles for omelette but he told them there is no omelette to be serve in the morning as it only will be serve at lunch time. Then my parents ask for an omelette from a waitress name Kate who is very attentive and told them it is available. The waiter name as Dubo.... as I'm not really remember his name but he is very attentive,polite and explains to us what it offers for us for the breaksfast.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. The public areas have been refurbished and are beautiful, especially the terraces. Breakfast is good but the a la carte can be a little chaotic particularly if breakfast is served indoors during inclement weather. Unfortunately (for us), the only bar is closed by 11pm, process starting at 10.30 pm meaning that a relaxing nightcap is out of the question. The room is pretty standard with the bathroom in need of upgrade with scratched enamel wear (room 221). For the price it is clear that an economy drive is underway with low quality and scarce toiletries! e.g. single tissue left in box! Despite these comments, the attitude of the staff is superb which together with the Hotels location, made for a nice, if expensive, stay.

Hotel bar! Come on. While we were (5 nights) there 1 of the two elevators was out of order with no attempt to fix.

Our stay was memorable! We love historical hotels and usually expect them to be decorated in the original style of the era. However, this one was refurbished with a mix of art-deco and classic styles. To our surprise, the combination of different styles actually gave a lot of charm and interior designer was quite brave. Our executive room with a breathtaking view was spacious and beautifully designed with just the perfect combination of comfort and style. It had the best view you could imagine. (Old town plus a view to the open sea and a horizon that looks like a movie scene! In fact, just for the view, this room from the largest balcony on our floor gets a score of 10! The executive rooms include a free visit to the executive lounge which is something you gotta try! The lounge serves coffee, tea, soft drinks, snacks, fruit, nuts, and sweets during the day and in the evening they offer an open bar, savoury and salty treats, salads, etc... If your stay doesn't include a dinner (ours did) then you can easily have a light dinner at the executive lounge and many guests did! Everything at the lounge is complimentary for the executive rooms' guests. The lady who was serving and taking care of guests at the executive lounge was extremely friendly and helpful! The dinner we had as a half-board was a royal treatment! First of all, the restaurant is just perfectly decorated, and the staff is superbly trained (or maybe we were lucky to have the friendliest and most kind waitress we ever encounter). The food was superb, and the chef was just brilliant! We were surprised that our half-board included so many options from the menu, including all sorts of cuts of meat from the grill and fresh fish. The breakfast was also just perfect, both the a-la-cart dishes and the buffet offer. We did not visit the spa this time, but we enjoyed the beautiful terrace at the hotel's cafe where you gotta try Rozata! Just ask for it, trust me, I am a food blogger! ;)

There are always small details that can be improved, however, our stay was so lovely that I don't even want to mention those small details. The hotel has such an excellent atmosphere and the staff is so kind that I am sure this hotel will have a bright future!

Location, quality of the building, great staff and service.

Shower over bath, we found this difficult and dangerous. A hotel that charges like it does needs a separate shower. I am a coeliac and was disappointed at the lack of any gluten free bread, a dedicated toaster and cereal at breakfast. It seemed to me that awareness of gluten intolerance was missing as the staff that I spoke to didn't even know what I was talking about. The hotel has so much to offer but the price and our concerns above took the gloss off things.

Very nice hotel. Perfect location, so close to the Pile gate, Walls of Dubrovnik and to the old town. Nice and friendly staff both at the reception and the restaurant. Superb breakfast, really a very nice treat when starting your day.

It was not clear in the room selection that there is an annex building. We were expecting to be in the main hotel building but it was not the case. Although, the accommodation at the annex was also very nice. It was just the ambiance of the very nice hotel that we missed.
