Hotel Umag Plava Laguna

Room good enough for a couple with toddler. We had a sea-view room, and the sea was not more than 20 meters away. The breakfast had a good variety, and started at 7am : good for early birds like my kid. At that time there’s plenty of available tables outside. The parking lot is not far away, and to check-in and check-out there are a few spaces just in front of the lobby (meant to be used for 15 minutes). Lots of entertainment for kids: swimming pools with slides, playgrounds, and even a sort of kindergarten where one can abandon their offsprings! We had a couple issues with the room, but the staff resolved everything in record time!

Dinners were just ok. We didn’t have half-boarding, so we were charged 25€ per adult. I’d say that for the price, it was ok. But there isn’t much variety , and for a few more euros one can have dinner in nearby restaurants. Parties can go on until late night. The sound proofing of the room was ok, but if one wants a quiet time, they should not get a room with sea view. Nitpicking, the safe box was inside a wardrobe, but whoever installed it didn’t care to test them: the door of the safe was interfering with the door of the wardrobe!

We had a great stay. The hotel has everything you need for a longer stay, beach is just beside the hotel. Great sauna and gym with barbells and benches. As a vegan family we had plenty of options to stuff our faces at breakfast and dinner. They even made soy cappucino for us on our request. I believe that the most magnificent jewel of this resort is their staff though. Waiters were helpful and always get out of their way to satisfy us. And their animation team was simply second to none. There wasn´t a single child that wouln´t like their program and always-fun-galvanizing members of their crew. If you have a small child then this is the place to provide them some fun.

There were weird rules that have something to do with the management I suppose. Like not tresspasing across the reception hallway in a swimming suit (in a beach hotel) or not being able to pay an invoice via internet banking. Basic drink like tap water would be also nice at dinner because not everybody prefers drinking unhealthy soda drinks with food.

We were in the hotel last year for the first time and we spent a great time .That is why we returned back again this year.Good position, nice small and beautiful territory,spa,good kitchen ,live music and amazing animation team.Our 8 years old daughter spent all the days long with the guys from animation team playing,dancing,drawing....She was very happy to meet Ivona again to say hello from other kids of the last year.Thank you guys..very professional and creative work with the kids of different ages.We hope to see you again next year.Plava Laguna is the hotel where you would like to return back again.

Great breakfast, dinner, food all kinds, well prepared. Clean rooms.

Wondering why room cleaning staff knocks on the door at 7.30am , 4 nights stay, repeated every morning the same, I had also no disturb ticket on the door and lady still walks in… tragic. Room 271 , I think the cleaning lady wanted to go home very early, get job done and leave… cannot explain it.

We selected premium room with a seaside view. It was just perfect ... Until we heard how much ATP Umag was loud at night. There was something wrong with the insulation on the windows, or something. The staff was very understanding and they had arranged a new room (parkside view) within an hour. After that we slept like babies. Everything else was perfect. The food was tasty, the staff was friendly and they loved to help (had some great conversations with the cleaning staff, staff at the bar and at the reception). It was a great family vacation. Hotel location and its neighborhood is lovely. Recommended for the families. They have newly opened "Punta pool" (mini aquapark) which is free of charge of the hotel guest. That's very cool. My little one loves it. It offers different programs for the kids during the day. (Mini disco, clown show, game of the day etc). Parking is 1 EUR per day, behind the tennis court, 5 minutes walk, but you can stop in front of the hotel while checking-in or out. Hotel reception is very modern and beautiful. Soft drinks were included in the dinner. (Beer was very good).

In our room the air-co did not work properly, despite of that we booked a premium room with sea view. We have reported it to the reception, but unfortunately no significant repairs were made. Some soft drinks are undrinkable (without syrup or watered down). Crowded restaurant and long queue in the morning and on the evening if you are not an "early bird". Not too wide choice of the dishes. The names of the dishes were not always written out in detail, and not too tasty. The reception is very modern and stylish, but the room is a bit outmoded. The bathroom is small, but clean.

Nice hotel at the beachfront and lovely greenery around it. The premium rooms are nice and big, with good beds and clean bathroom. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious and various. For lunch, the restaurant offers snacks and delicious meals if you want to order. The staff are friendly and helpful, they accommodated all our needs (extra pillows, inquiries etc). The indoor swimming pool was nice, but quite crowded during spring break, the indoor air temperature was 40. All in all, I would recommend this hotel for the proximity to the sea, suitability for kids and waking up next to wonderful views of the sea, lovely food and kind staff.

too many people waiting in line to get the food at the restaurant during dinner. If people waited in smaller separate lines, it would be quicker for everyone to get food in the top season. - The air in the indoor swimming pool was too hot.

Really good and rich breakfasts and dinners, a lot of child playgrounds around, all kind of beaches around hotel, Free shared water park, helpful personnel.

No cattle in the room. We needed to prepare milk for 2yrs child, but personal get us on behalf hot water in bar as we got flask. So or so it would be helpful to provide Kettle at least for families with child on kendamill. :)

Great location and great facilities, the pool, the spa, the mini aqua park for children, entertainment every night. Food was ok as well as the staff most of the time.

City center a little bit far for those with small children ,at least not in walking distance. It could been nice if the hotel provide some free tickets to the tourist train that took us to town center because is quite expensive. Other hotels in the area have this service.
