Valamar Riviera Hotel & Residence

Our first stay in an apartement from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Nicely furnished room and kitchen. Cleaning when required. The staff was very friendly. As always, the beach on Sveti Nikola was fabulous.

No elevator and three very steep stairs. The bathroom was very small and a shower always flooded the whole bathroom. The apartement is quite dark as the windows face another wall. On several nights, there was loud music coming from the bar below the windows till about 12 PM. This is not the fault of the hotel, but the price of they stay was too high for that.

We absolutely loved our room, location and the amazing breakfast (and brunch) included in the price of the stay. We booked a stunning Sea view room with a balcony in the main Valamar Riviera Hotel in Porec and it was incredible. The staff are so helpful and warm, in particular Dajana helped us at the front-desk to find a vineyard to visit and we had such a good visit as a result. We were also amazed that staying in the hotel in Porec meant you could get a free boat across to use the private beaches and resort pool on the island opposite called Sveti Nikola - probably one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. Incredibly good value for money and just a lovely, friendly place to stay.

Nothing, we loved everything!

The location right on the main square, a half block from the water and ferry terminal was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful and access to Sveti Nikola was definitely an added bonus! We only booked 1 night when we came in late on the ferry but the hotel held our luggage free of charge the entire next day after we checked out so that we could explore Porec before leaving. The free ferry and towel service at the resort and beaches of Sveti Nikola was awesome - we had a great beach day with access to all the convenient facilities!

The apartment was pretty basic and the shower small with no hot water. The weather was hot while we were traveling (mid - late July) - so a cold shower was manageable.

I went there with my dog and we felt so welcome. Porec in general is extremely friendly with pets and they are welcome almost everywhere, i enjoyed that a lot! With booking a Valamar Hotel you can travel by ferry to the littel island where Isabella resort is and they have a pet friendly beach and even a littel dogpark there <3 My favourite part of the day ist breakfast and let me tell you- it was exceptional and i enjoyed it to the fullest!

excellent location, very close to ferry dock. private apartment one flight up (no lift), soundproof windows and good a/c, clean bathroom and large towels, washing machine (but no drying rack), helpful staff, free boat ride to St Nicholas island and sister resort hotel there.

no kitchen towels or dish rack, listed “twin bed” is just an uncomfy pull-out couch in living room. although this is part of a 4-star hotel, apartment is quite basic and no housekeeping is provided.

We stayed in one of the six apartments attached to the Valamar Riviera Hotel - ours had two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms and was situated on a lovely square a couple of minutes walk away from the hotel. It was spacious with views of the square, very well decorated, furnished and equipped with a large dining table, lots of shelves and wardrobe space, dishwasher and washing machine and washing liquid etc. The small internal balcony was useful for drying clothes. We enjoyed taking the free boat out to the nearby island owned by the Valamar group with free use of the excellent facilities there. We only stayed 2 nights but it would be a very comfortable place to spend a week. Parking is on the outskirts of Porec with well organised transfer to the hotel. Porec is a lovely historic town with its UNESCO listed C6 basilica, attractive surroundings and lots of potential day trips out.

We stayed in the apartment which was about 150 yards from the main hotel. It was up three flights of stairs but was worth it - nice double room, and then a kitchen/lounger with two sofa beds. It was all well maintained and tidy. You get access to the main hotel facilities on a nearby island which was fantastic - including a pool and waterslides.

The stairs were a bit full-on and the bathroom was a bit rough around the edges

The hotel is right on the water in the town Porec. we had a room with a beautiful sea view balcony. lots of restaurants, bars, and shops right there. the breakfast every morning was good quality and delicious with plenty of variety. The staff was kind and our room was very clean. Free access to the Valamar island, beaches and pool with lounge chairs and umbrellas, and beach towels to include transportation between Porec and the island. we LOVED spending our days enjoying the island.

The only negative was that our room was tiny, however it was very clean and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time outdoors anyway.

The hotel is situated at the waterfront with a great view to the harbour, the see and the island. The center of the old town starts just around the corner. The area is very vivid, lots of restaurants, bars etc. In the evening it is full of people and with lots of music, but the windows closed properly and we were not disturbed by the noises. There are a very small number of rooms with a balcony and we had one, which was very nice for a sundowner. The breakfast was fantastic! After 11 am they start with a brunch until 1 pm and you can take this as breakfast as well. A really high variety and a good quality of all things on the buffet, only the orange juice was quite bad.

The rooms was very small for 2 people. It is a problem with the luggage, you are always scared to let the TV go down to the floor with a false move and if you are together in the room, 1 person has to stay on the bed, so that the other can move around. The orange juice from the breakfast buffet was a liquid, mixed with water and it was of a bad quality.

Great location, fantastic to have free boat trip to the island and use of the sister hotel with swimming pool, beach and water inflatables, and can charge food and drink back to your hotel bill. Plenty of restaurants and live music within 2 minutes walk.

It wasn’t really clear that we weren’t in the main hotel which was fine but the apartment we were in was very noisy in the early mornings from banging upstairs
