Mercure Alameda Quito

Location is excellent. Walkable to plenty of restaurants and nightlife. Breakfast choices were very good, but don't arrive after 9:30 because they don't replace anything. They say they serve until 10 but if you want all options available be there early. Bed was comfortable and the room was great.

Only issue was there was no information regarding the hot tub use or massage facilities. When I asked a day after arrival everything was booked. Spa facilities was closed on Mondays. Bar was a bit pricey compared to options outside of the Hotel.

Location great if you need to be in central quito, though for tourists, being in the historic district is a better option. That said it was close to parks and a handicrafts market. The included was also great. Downstairs bar was also nice decent drinks and a friendly bartender.

Could be a bit cleaner in certain places (all outside of the room), but overall it was still fantastic and a great place to stay.

Great location in central Quito. Wonderful breakfast included. Excellent coffee and tee with an omelet station, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, croissant , and so much more. Great friendly staff that spoke English . They arranged for covid test at the hotel for our return to the US($37/person). They arranged airport transfer for $25 one way. Good restaurant for dinner as well, reasonably priced. Dinner for two with wine $65, surf and turf, grilled chicken, shrimp cocktail for a starter very tasty. There is an ATM at a bank on the backside of the hotel. Massage treatment very reasonable at $55 for an hour and half massage.

Rooms appeared a little dated. Old furniture and chipped paint here and there. Hard bed mattress. Poor lighting .

Very comfortable room, good breakfast available very early (starting 4:30am), courteous and helpful staff. No disposable plastic bottles policy, drinking water available to refill your bottle. Ample lobby. Very good wifi all around. Good location, rather in the middle of the city.

I would have liked that the gym opened earlier than 6am and remained open later than 6pm. The resolution of TV channels wasn't very good

For a large hotel, the Mercure Alameda was very friendly. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. We had a small suite which was quiet and spacious. Perfect for the last day of our travels. The breakfast choice was extensive and the food was. We enjoyed using the rooftop spa.

You need a taxi to get to the old town.

The staff was very friendly. Room is spacious and it is cleaned every day. Beds are large and comfy. Nice view from the spa facilities. Breakfast buffet is tasty and changes every day

The spa only started warming up at the time of your reservation. This took around 90 minutes and hence the saunas were always cold. You had to open the windows as the room was very warm and stuffy. Noise of traffic came in through the windows.

Rude check in staff. I tried to check in at 12 as told on booking.con but was told to come back later. Came back at 1:30 to be told rudely to wait longer. I sat in the lobby in full view of the check in staff until 2pm. When I asked if I could now check in they mumbled that I could.

Excellent hotel and great staff.I stayed there around 18 days and enjoyed every minute. The hotel is very safe, clean and welcoming which is very important considering the challenging situation trigerred by Corona.Many repeated thanks to the staff from the reception starting with Mauricio and his colleagues(Patricia,Maria Dolores,Alvaro and the rest). They helped me with everything from getting to know better the city, transfers from and to the airport and even trips in Ecuador during my stay, booking for the Covid test in Quito which is esential nowadays in order to travel and a lot of other matters . Also the meals were good and the room service excellent . I strongly recomment this hotel and look forward to getting back. 😀

There was nothing I didn’t like.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. Breakfast was available early. The hotel held our bags for a week free of charge (between short stays while we were on a trek), and allowed us to check in early, free of charge. They helped us get taxis as well. Very helpful for foreigners who don't speak Spanish well!

The roof top spa/sauna area is an excellent place to unwind. Delicious breakfast buffet including omelette station and spacious rooms. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Water bottle refilling stations are plentiful.

It is a bit far from old town.
