Wonderful location. Friendly staff. Pleasant room (family room).

The swimming pool was great, but you are not encouraged to shower before swimming. That seems unhygienic. The wardrobes do not have showers, and the only shower is in the pool area itself. You don't feel like taking off yoyr clothes and showering properly in plain sight. I saw people going directly into the pool without showering at all. If the wardrobes had showers, it would have been great. Or at least some signs should have been put up telling people to shower in their rooms before entering the pool.

Located directly at the lake, the location was simply just amazing. Looking back on the trip, I felt at ease, calmed down and relaxed every time I looked out of my hotel room. The staff is worth mentioning, too. They were always super friendly and did their upmost to make my stay as relaxing as possible. If you have the money, I’d also definitely check out the hotels own restaurant in the seaside building. It is quite pricey, but you’ll be gifted with truly wonderful food, an exceptional wine card, great cocktails and a truly stunning view over the lake.

The only thing that I really didn’t like during my stay at the hotel was the breakfast. Although the buffet had a lot to offer at a first glance, I felt limited in choices, especially when not wanting to eat eggs every morning. In addition to that, none of the egg meals provided at breakfast tasted good, sadly. But that is about the only negative thing about my stay!

The best thing about this hotel is the LOCATION! Oh it was just stunning, right next to the beach which was always empty. So tranquil and quiet - you feel like you are in a wood resort. Then just a 20 minute tram away is Helsinki city centre.

The coffee machines at breakfast were temperamental

The hotel is beautifully situated on the coast in a quiet part of Helsinki. The restaurant has a wonderful view on the sea. It is really worth a visit, not only for the excellent food and wine, but also for the staff. Our room was very spacious, quiet and had everything one can think of. City centre is easy ascessable with tramline 4, but don't forget to buy a dayticket at the R'kioski before you make use of public transport.

Like so many other hotels there is little space at the hotel entrance to park your car while you register at the reception.

Spacious and comfortable room with an incredible view at the bay. Amazing sunsets straight from the bed! Pleasant and green surroundings, helpful and friendly staff, great little beach for swimming and really close to tram 4 taking you straight into the heart of the city!

The hotel is extremely dated and still leans on the concept of luxury in the eighties (or maybe even 70's?) I kind of enjoyed it since I felt like visiting my youth (or being part of a Wes Anderson movie) but it's not intentional and that makes it the vibe in the hotel somewhat heavy and sad. The breakfast area was way too small at the time of our stay; it all felt packed, busy and uncomfortable.

The hotel is beautifully located with a view over the start of the archipelago outside Helsinki. The hotel has architectural value, character and an impressive history of dignitaries having visited, which makes it interesting. The restaurant where we had dinner is pricey, but the quality of both the food and the service matched the price. The waiters are international professionals. There is a relatively large number of free outdoor parking spaces, though the hotel also has a (paid) underground garage. The airport is only some 15-20 minutes away by car. The hotel is not in the centre of Helsinki, and we really liked the location, but for somebody planning to explore Helsinki it is not a first choice.

The indoor swimming pool is rather modest. The "private beach" of the hotel is not nearly as nice as the public one next to it, but perhaps it is better that way as hotel guests could use the public one but not the other way around.

The hotel markets itself as a conference hotel, so expect a "generic" style of room. However, everything was clean and comfortable, and especially the bathroom was recently renovated. The location of the hotel is beautiful: it's surrounded by parks, right next to the sea, and in one of the fanciest areas of Helsinki. Keep in mind that it's not downtown - you can easily take the tram downtown, but the location is better for a tranquil vacation surrounded by nature than a city stay. The staff were very friendly. The price point is also great for the surroundings and the quality of the room.

I was very excited for the "private beach" and sauna/pool area, but these reminded me of the 1980s: the strip of beach is tiny and (amusingly) there is a much nicer stretch of public beach literally next to it. The sauna and pool were in the basement and while they were clean, there was nothing particularly pleasant about them.

Returning customer, so I'm more or less pleased with the place. :) Nicely close but yet detached from the busy city. You can downshift from a hectic day here easily. Good by-the-sea restaurant with classy menus. Breakfast was filled with various options for everyone.

The sondproofing is quite bad - to the hallways that is. It's almost if the door is not there. So you wake up to any noise from the hallway or have difficulties going to sleep if there is still traffic in the hallways.

Location is very nice; reception was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and spacious, beds were excellent.

Breakfast is ok but needs some update and more modern choices. It is good but bit out dated and has been quite the same for quite a long time. If You compare that to other good quality hotels' best breakfasts in the city, this is lagging behind. Restaurant service was friendly but bit slow; we had to wait for service in all the different stages of the dinner (order, drinks, meals & getting dessert, getting bill).

A hotel located at the seaside with own access to water. Nice staff. Nice sauna. Standard size room, clean, with sea view. Free parking. Restaurant with sea view located in the same building. Very good idea - Iglux project. Good breakfast.

Near the Iglux some sunloungers would be a good idea. The hotel is clean and well maintained, but it is an old hotel, it is rather visible in the lobby / corridors style, as well as in the room furniture style.
