I've stayed in this hotel twice because of needing to catch an early bus from Kampi, and it is convenient for the railway station as well, and there is a network of attractive streets around it with independent shops and so on. The rooms are large and comfortable with good sound insulation and blackout curtains. The breakfast is excellent -- delicious ryebread and pickled fish and one or two vegan options also. Access to the sauna is included in the price.

The price varies; if you can get it at say 100-120 Euro (e.g. on weekend rates) the value is good, but 150 Euro looks steep, especially as room facilities are limited (e.g. no tea- and coffee-making facilities, very expensive mini-bar, some wear to the decoration). If you can't make the buffet breakfast, the substitute packed one is disappointing (start time at weekends is 7.30, so if you need to leave earlier than that, I would advise going without).

The property was in an excellent location in terms of transport links, restaurants with direct access to a shopping centre & more nearby. I literally changed my booking on Saturday before we were due to arrive on Monday when I discovered the hotel I booked didn’t include breakfast & it would have cost another €100 for 2 breakfasts each (ouch). I’m so happy I did. The Scandic Simonkenttä (despite some reviews) was cheaper and simply wonderful from start to finish & the breakfast, you’d have to be fussiest person in the world not to find something you’d like. Truly fabulous spread. Two USB ports each side of the bed & a plug (adapter if outside of Finland) just perfect for all your charging needs. I didn’t need my adapter, I charged my phone & watch via the USB ports. Reception worked quickly for check in & gave maps with advice. If we ever visit Helsinki again, I’d definitely choose this hotel 😊

We only had a standard king room but we’ve got used to tea/coffee making facilities in our other hotels. Monday the MAS restaurant had a reduced menu & Monkey Rooftop Bar didn’t open until Wednesday (when we checked out). These were unfortunate & it’s mud-September so maybe winding down a bit. Didn’t affect our stay in wonderful Helsinki

The room was fine. The breakfast was very fine. The location close to railwaystation and to the shopping center with busses and metro was excellent, and the hotel was located very close to museums and other attractions. The weather could have been better, but that is not your business.

In my first room - 708 - I could here noise from the ventilation in front of the hotel. Maybe it could be possible to write all the informations you needed when I made the reservation of the hotel from mycomputer so I didn't have to do it by pencil,

Very good location, the tram station is at the entrance and the city center is in walking distance. Check-in and check-out is really smooth. Good breakfast.

The extra bed for my daughter was not prepared but when I immediately told the receptionist she organised it in no time, thanks. There were thick black hairs on the clean towels which was really disappointing. The safe in the room was unsafe simply because it was broken down. At breakfast the dairy products were placed near the huge window/glass wall so they were under direct sunlight from 6:30 so we felt quite unsafe to taste them around 9am…the whole place was a bit too hot because of the sunlight and inefficient AC.

The location is best in Helsinki. Just by the corner of trainstation, multiple shopping malls, restaurants etc. The room was very clean, even cleaner than most of 4-star hotels. The breakfast had everything. Even it is a big hotel and it was a travelling season in Helsinki, the place didn’t felt too crowded. The staff was friendly.

There was an light odd smoky smell in our room and our second keycard didn’t work. The ala carte food in the restaurant was average, but a good choice for a quick dinner. There was no hair condition in the room. The lights in the room made us confused because my fiance accidentally turned all the lights on when going to a bathroom at night.

I really really really enjoyed my stay. It's right in the center of Helsinki and everything from there is basically in walking distance. My room was spacious, clean and very comfy. I brought my own little travel kettle because I like to drink green tea when I wake up and get ready. The room came equipped with a mini fridge that was stocked with mini bar items. It's was handy though to place my own items in it. The room was well heated AND you could open the window to air it out! My room was on the 4th floor and quiet. I could hear some noice from adjacent rooms but it was tolerable. The windows seem to be well insulated because there was almost no sound from outside. The overall cleanliness of the hotel could be slightly improved, for example I noticed that floors in the hallways don't get hoovered regularly. The sauna area was spotless and I appreciated the fact to have a free sauna in my hotel (this was one of the reasons for me to book the hotel). The breakfast was an awesome experience every day a new. Almost anything your heart desired you could have. Everything was fresh and good quality. I find it to be a good sign when the hotel offers fresh fruit which was the case here. This was my first trip to Helsinki and I wish I could've stayed longer (stayed four nights over NYE). My personal experience in this hotel was very positive so I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for your visit.

The room was small but cozy, had a bathtub (big plus from me) and a minibar (which worked as a fridge for our stuff since it has some extra space). But the highlight was definitely the breakfast and location. It was the second best breakfast I ever had in a hotel, ton of stuff to choose from, great quality of food available and the eating area was really cozy. Location is a beast, it's walking distance from most things in city center, music clubs, moomin store, train station, bus station, metro, big shopping mall just next to it. Despite it- the room was silent, although we had a room at 8th floor so maybe it was thanks to the height.

No real complaints really, maybe some nitpicking about the bed having weird edges which would make falling off the bed easy. But the bed itself was really comfy aside that, so I really can't think of something annoying.

The room was comfortable, although not the most comfortable bed I’ve had in hotels. Everything was clean and accessible, the breakfast was excellent, and had plenty of choices. The location was perfect; very easy access to the main train station as well as other public transport, and also central enough that much of the city center could be explored by foot from the hotel.

The bed could be a bit more cushiony, and the 7th story balcony area was not very clean.

This isn't the most picturesque part of Helsinki (in a cluster of standard-issue black glass shopping centres), but is excellent for transport -- a couple of minutes from the bus station and around five from the railway station. The hotel rooms are a decent size and in an attractive, Finnish-functional style. There is a nice sauna in the basement (or rather two, men and women separately) at no extra charge and without booking (often in Finnish hotels, you have to book in advance and pay extra). The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming.

The price is high compared with other city-centre hotels. I didn't mind paying for one night because I had an early bus the following morning, but made other arrangements for the way back because I was able to get a room for not much more than half the price slightly further from the stations. The shower had rather a feeble flow and wasn't in a proper cabinet - touchingly, they had provided a little mop for the puddle that resulted! But the bathroom didn't look four-star at all, though very clean.

The breakfast was spectacular. Very high quality and nutritious. The bed was perfect for me. The bed coverings were a little different but in a good way... king bed with individual comforters for each half.

The wall sockets were EU-only and the front desk did not have adapters. I spent hours hunting down an adaptor, finally finding one at a computer/electronics store. Most hotels I have stayed at have universal sockets or loaner adaptors.
