Hôtel De Brunville & Spa

The room was extremely clean. From check in to check out everything was very good. The breakfast had a good choice of things.The scrambled eggs were great! I thought the bacon was good too. Orange juice was fabulous!. We had a room that had three twin beds because there was three of us guys. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. A reminder that most restaurants are closed on Sunday and Monday so I would not suggest going on those days. The bar in the hotel was wonderful. The only complaint I have is they did not have ginger ale or Sprite or 7Up to mix with Jameson Irish whiskey. The desk clerks were wonderful and catered to your every need. They had a hot tub and a heated pool but we were so busy we never made time to get in it. Overall this was a fabulous stay and I would recommend it for everybody.

They just needed a better mix for bourbon such as 7Up or Sprite or Ginger ale. They had neither. But that is my only complaint.

The hotel is located in a convenient location for touring Normandy. The reception and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. There were 3 of us and plenty of room for a few day stay. The hotel is located within walking distance of shops, food and sites within the town. The US Cemetary and Omaha Beach are less than a 30 minute drive from the hotel. There is a metered parking lot just behind the hotel and it is free from 7 pm - 9 am. If you plan right, you will only pay about 3 - 4 Euros for parking at the end of your day, as long as you are gone by 9 am, you are good. The hotel has parking for 12 Euros per night. I would stay here again!

Room was in a loft location not 100% reachable via elevator. The final flight of stairs was not bad when walking down but tough walking up with luggage. The shower was part of a deep tub into which it was very difficult to climb (especially for a 75 yo person). The problem was compounded by a scary vertical glass add-on to contain shower spray. This feature greatly reduced the space available for entry-exit. Fortunately I was only there for 2 nights (and 2 morning showers). Lastly because of its "loft" location, the ceiling angle down below my height...attended the school of hard knocks.

Location is good, just off the High Street and two blocks from the Cathedral. It’s an older property and our room was small for two people. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast good. The pool and spa are enjoyable. The staff was wonderful and they made the stay for us.

Showers in the bathtubs are a challenge. Water ends up all over unless great care is taken.

Central location close to town centre. Parking onsite provided (for a fee). Tea, coffee, water provided in the room. Helpful friendly staff.

No airconditioning. Noisy fan provided. Room only half serviced on one day. Most restaurants on a Saturday and Sunday night were closed. Seems odd to be closed on a weekend in a tourist town. Difficult to find anywhere to have dinner.

Our room was of a particularly high standard, with all the mod-cons you would expect. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Secure private parking. Set close to the town centre all the amazing attractions are within easy walking distance. Made use of the pool and jacuzzi which was a bonus after a long day travelling. If you plan to visit Bayeux, book this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

Everything was perfect!

The location was great! Close to shops, the church, the cathedral, restaurants, and the train station. Also, we were picked up right on time for our Normandy beach tour. The desk staff was very kind and helpful. Room was nice and clean. If we'd had our swimsuits, we would have used the pool for sure.

A place to put our suitcases whie in our room would have been helpful. We had to put them on the bed and on the desk.

Beds were comfortable, bathroom has toilettries which seems exceptional for France these days. Room was spacious and clean, with complimentary water and coffee. Good location, free parking nearby. Friendly staff.

The 3rd bed in the room doesn t have its separate light, which was a bit inconvenient.

Check in was great, we immediately decided to extend our stay an extra night which they held the rooms for 8 hours and gave us the same rate. Location was perfect for walking. The staff was very polite & helpful to order us taxi etc.

I thought the breakfast was a bit expensive. it was a good quality, but it was $18 Euros and if you don’t eat much in the morning it’s not worth it.

Breakfast, the usual continental breakfast that you find in most hotels. Swimming pool available, only small though. Rooms were clean and comfortable, hotel seems to be split into 2 buildings. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Good location near the town and only a walk away from the Bayeux Tapestry. Parking was inside a locked area off the street between the two parts of the hotel. Very secure. Easy for removal of luggage. Wifi available. Hotel was an overnight stay as we were moving on.

Nothing notable, as it was a hotel we were only staying in one night.
