Hotel De La Bastide

I loved this hotel! The madame at the reception was super friendly and helpful (she waited for me until late evening after I already checked out, to pick up my luggage before departure by train), the white room was quite spacious and beautiful with regional elegant charm (this is the famous town of UNESCO World Heritage listed medieval castle), It is very close to the central train station, just 5 minutes walk. I wish I could have stayed for more days.

I liked everything about this hotel. If any, there is a little bit of walk from the hotel to the Castle (abt 2-25 minutes), but, that is not a big problem as there are many things to see on the way, in fact, I ended up shopping unexpectedly while commuting to the castle compound across the river!

Lovely little hotel, central for train station/near airport. Exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. Room was comfy and clean and breakfast was excellent, everything you could need for €9 per person. We needed disabled parking and this was available FREE only a very short distance away. There was also a LIFT at the hotel which was such a help. We have stayed here a couple of times it’s in a good location, about 10-15 minute drive to AIRPORT and good value for money. We will stay here again.

Hot water took a long while to come through in the shower but it wasn’t a real problem!

A 5 minute walk from the train station and 25 minutes to walk up to the Cité, the hotel is in a quiet location just off the main street and near to the Canal du Midi. It is fairly basic, but the room was clean and comfortable and the shower was amazing! There was a reasonable selection at breakfast and it was good value, although the dining room is nothing fancy. The staff were wonderful - very friendly and helpful, even with my limited French.

The lift is very small, so may need more than one trip if you have a lot of luggage or are claustrophobic.

If I'm honest, I booked this hotel in error - thought I'd selected one closer to the Medieval cité, but as it turns out, it was ideal for us. It was very conveniently located for the train station, the navette to the airport, and the tourist train up to the Medieval Cité. The room was full of character, with fridge and aircon.

Could have done with more pillows, but really this was a minor detail and we coped perfectly well with what was provided.

This was a small hotel located very near the railway station and the main centre of activity in the Bastide. It was in a quiet location - church bells from nearby St. Vincent do sound on the hour approximately from 7am but didn’t annoy us. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Medieval part of the town. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. Also you can store your bike / motorcycle at no extra charge in a nearby garage. It was very keenly priced - probably the best value we ever got anywhere. Thank you to all the staff for helping to make our week so pleasant.

Our room was large and comfortable. A basic room but clean with an excellent shower. Location was great as we travelled by train and we were just a short walk from the station. Breakfast was good but get there early to be sure of croissants. Our luggage was kept safe on our last day until our train time, really helpful.

Nothing, a basic hotel so no tea making or safe in room, but that is what we paid for and it was really good. Helpful friendly staff.

Reasonable sized ensuite room on 4th floor with lift. Panoramic views. AC. Helpful receptionists. Plenty of nearby bars, restaurants and supermarket. Quiet with electric external shutters. Bit of a walk to the walled city. Excellent bicycle storage. Could be much better with a bit of investment. V good breakfast 9euro

Bathroom dirty and shower cubicle dilapidated, tiniest shower gel bottle possible, single tea bag for kettle. No bathroom ventilation.

I stayed for one night, the hotel is right near the centre of the city, very close to the train staion, so was good for transfers from the train staion and/or to the airport. the room was basic but very clean, and had everything i need for a nights stay, the continetal breakfast had a good choice, and was very good. It catered for all tastes. The room had air con, so very good when very hot. The staff are very friendly and helpful

Theres not a lot not to like.

honestly i wasn't expecting much when i made the booking, as long as it was clean and had air conditioning, but this little hotel turned out surprisingly nice! my room happened to overlook the little patio they had, air conditioning worked great, room was very clean and i was very pleasantly surprised, especially given its affordability! the staff at the reception was super friendly. wifi worked great - overall, turns out really good bang for the buck!!

just beware that it does take 20-25 minutes to walk to the old city, so probably not a hotel if you want to stay if you intend to come back to hotel for breaks throughout the day. otherwise, great location to the train station - super close (which was why i chose this hotel initially!)!

We received the warmest of welcomes at this conveniently located hotel, close to the train station. Our en suite bedroom was a generous size, with a very comfortable bed, and powerful shower. The rooms are, it has to be said, in need of an update, however the hotel was perfect for our one night stopover, prior to catching the shuttle bus to the airport and more importantly, the staff are so friendly, kind and welcoming and really can’t do enough for you.
