Wonderful, charming hotel owned by friendly and kind hosts. We were seated on arrival in the lovely guest relaxation lounge and immediately offered a drink whilst they past on a wealth of local knowledge and recommendations. The hotel is minutes away from the charming centre of Carcassonne and easily reached by foot from the Airport Bus stop. We stayed in a quirky large spotlessly clean room overlooking the garden, very quiet and peaceful supplied with high end products, large white fluffy towels and fresh water every day. Breakfast is taken in a pretty dining room at the front of the building and the breakfast is large and magnificent! Fresh plain and chocolate croissants, baguettes, jams, yogurt, fruit, eggs, meats, cheeses….the list goes on! You prepare your own fresh coffee from a bean to cup machine plus there is a large variety of teas and juices. You are welcome to use the machine whenever you want and the hosts even supply sodas and wines along with an honesty box. The host offers a taxi service to and from the airport and this is actually less per transfer than the Airport bus! All very highly recommended and we would return in a shot!

Lisa and Chris were excellent attentive hosts and are fellow Canadians like ourselves. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and modern showers and large tvs if you like that convenience. They also put a fresh jug of water in your room each day which was really appreciated after a hot day exploring the area. The breakfasts were outstanding. It is also a great location as everything is walkable.

There are 2 flights of stairs up to room we stayed in (no elevator). Not a problem unless you have mobility issues. But they also brought out suitcases up upon arrival which was very much appreciated.

This is a traditional French Townhouse with the original character now enhanced by the current owners who have created classy and comfortable rooms with super modern bathroom facilities. Chris and Lisa gave us a great welcome and explained aspects of the hotel and the general area which was so helpful. It’s not far to the old Citadel. Lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was excellent no pots of yogurt and foil wrapped butter here, all beautifully presented in dishes and frequently topped up. Fresh fruit, ham, cheese, tomatoes and pastries- good coffee from the machine. Magazines to browse in English and French. A romantic courtyard garden at the back to relax in as well. Honesty bar, ice, coffee and tea free all day. This is a special place!

This was so far removed from the boring corporate hotels . It was dull of charm and character and well kept. A lovely court yard to relax in and was quiet when I stayed but just around the corner from many restaurants and close to the main square. Free bean to cup coffee and the ambience of a retreat . Breakfast was continental style but plentiful. The owners were very helpful and relaxed.

I just can't think of anything right now. There was a large spiral staircase so if you need a lift it might not be ideal.

The hosts have thought of every detail in order to make your stay as perfect as it can be. From a QR code that automatically connects you to Wi-Fi, to plenty of outlets, to a quiet patio sitting area, to a breakfast that caters to all tastes, this is a very comfortable resting place from which to tour Carcassonne. The hosts are super friendly and very helpful with local recommendations. The restaurant they suggested which was a 5 minute walk away was wonderful. And they showed us an app to pay for parking across the street which cost less than 3 euros for the whole day (night is free). Although our room faced a busy boulevard, the windows kept out all the noise, and you control the AC/heat in your room. And the price is a bargain for such a large room. We will recommend this wonderful place to all our friends, and can’t wait to come back!

Nothing - it was perfect! Just so you know, it is a 20-30 minute pleasant walk up to the castle - there are only a couple very expensive hotels within the old city walls. Salut is located close enough that we spent the evening walking around up in the old city after most of the tourists were gone, a magical time and a nice walk back down.

If I could give 6 stars to this wonderful B&B, I would! Lisa and Chris (and Lincoln 🐶) were the best hosts you could think of. The room was wonderful: Spacious, impeccable, and with a big eye for detail. The location was perfect, within a few minutes you're in the city center and just a small walk away from the old cité. The B&B also has a lovely little patio where you can have a private drink in the night if you'd like. Parking is cheap and safe. Thank you for the lovely stay, we will recommend to family and friends!

Lisa and Chris host a lovely B&B, and their hospitality is amazing, so welcoming and helpful with everything. Our room was large, and looked out onto the pretty garden area. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was a huge shower area. If you need transport to the airport, they will drive you there themselves, for a small fee, such a good service. Breakfast was very good, with an excellent selection of fruit, yoghurts, pastries, fresh bread, cheeses and charcuterie. We had a wonderful stay, and look forward to the next time!

Lisa and Chris were super friendly and helpful. They made sure everything was good during our stay. They had incredible tips on what to do and what to eat - we tried many of their recommendations and they were great! They give a personal touch to the stay, which is very rare these days. And they do it genuinely and with love. The room was very big and comfortable. The breakfast was very good as well - with a good selection of pastries, fruits and even local cheeses. I recommend a stay in SalutBB for anyone visiting Carcassonne.

The location is pretty ideal as it is close to the center of the town, but still manages to avoid the noise of the city. The house is very beautiful, both inside and outside, and you can feel that they've paid attention to decorating it in a calm and beautiful manner. The breakfast was also quite nice - we did not feel that anything was missing at all. They also pay attention to dietary restrictions and requests, you just have to tell them in advance. My daughter was vegan, and they made sure she got was she needed - which we are very grateful for. I can definitely recommend staying here, as the owners are delightful people and the rooms are also beautiful, comfortable and homely.

Beautiful building with character! The room was comfortable with lots of space and bright. The property and all facilities were very clean. The location is perfect if you want to visit both the Cité and the contemporary part of Carcassone. Last but not least, the hosts were amazing! Chris and Lisa take pride to what they do and offer to their guests, and they take the time to welcome each guest individually at their property by ensuring they have the most amazing stay!
