Manoir de Turqueville les Quatre Etoiles

The Manoir is located in a lovely village close to Sainte Mere Eglise. It is a beautiful place with plenty of parking. The hosts are extremely nice and welcoming and took an interest in our daily visits around the area. The bedroom although not overly large was comfortable with great facilities. There was a great sitting area downstairs for guests and for enjoying an evening drink. The breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. We had a lovely four day stay and would recommend it to anyone interested in the American sector of the D Day landings or just wanting a relaxing visit to the area. We highly recommend this place.

Would have liked to have been able to have a cup of coffee in my room as this wasn't encouraged but there were tea and coffee making facilities available to all in the breakfast room.

For the variety on offer at the price we paid (equivalent of 71cents) per person, per day the breakfast was superb. The wi-fi was free, fast and superb connection. The room was exceptionally clean and a good size. The location was excellent just a couple of miles from Sainte Mere Eglise and it was in a lovely and peaceful location.

1. It would have been a little better if we could have eaten and had hot drinks in our room. 2. Headroom was a bit of an issue at times due to being in a loft room. But it was substantially sized.

nice suite with nice bedroom and very comfortable beds :) cool property + parking available on site. friendly owner, but we talked with Laure only twice - 10 mins at arrival and 10 mins at departure. may be we did not arrive at right time to get the description of what was proposed at Manoir. flexible arrival: we have initially contacted the owner that we might need to arrive at 22h, not 18-19, but finally arrived at 18-00 and they were there to host us. hotplates and oven. small coffee machine with 3-4 capsules provided (6 night stay). freshly renovated bathroom. table outside to eat.

it is stated in the description that "A continental breakfast is served daily at Manoir de Turqueville Les Quatre Etoiles and is included in the room rate", but it is actually not true, as breakfast is not provided for the apartment (ground floor). description is a bit confusing. we were not told at the arrival how we can manage to order dinner at site, but since we were leaving early most of the days, we did not search to get more info on that. one have to drive to get to restaurant and to clean the place before leaving (cleaning costs extra), even though it was not controlled when we were leaving.

We stayed two nights here and visited the neighbourhood eg. Utah beach/museum, St Mere Eglise and Barfleur. Because there is so much to see we asked the host to help us with deciding what to visit. And she recommended the battery of Azeville which was a great experience for our family. The property is a small gem, beautifully renovated with a nice garden amidst fields. The owners are very kind and helpful and the beds, shower and breakfast were great.

Matthew and Laure were communicative hosts, very welcoming, with great breakfasts in a lovely dining room, Turqueville is a lovely quiet town and close to all the D DAY landings. The decor was superb, extra details such as a fan and a makeup mirror and the most comfortable bed made our stay wonderful. We were sorry we hadn’t booked longer and we would love to come back. Our best accomodation so far in our France Travels and great value for money.

I appreciated the well-manicured inside and outside, the breakfast, the room, especially the family that hosted me, and their willingness to make sure I was comfortable and happy. The photos do not do their home justice, go visit and experience it for yourself and you can thank me later.

We were very satisfied from the very beginning till the very end of our stay. The owner and his wife were very friendly and willing to satisfied all our needs. The athmosphere in Manoir de Turqueville was very pleasant, we felt welcome all the time. Excellent breakfasts, very cosy beds, comfortable rooms, beautiful place, positive athmosphere. Beautiful setting, very quiet and peaceful. Within easy reach of shops and the beaches.
