Hotel Mirabell by Maier Privathotels

loved the breakfast at this small hotel. super to my taste:) lots of bread and cheese choices and more health options. the room was a bit small and looked at the parking spot but had a bath tub which was lovely to relax after a long day's walk in the snow:) the location was convenient-just a 5' walk from the train station, although you needed 20' walk to marietplatz. very friendly staff-helped us with every single query we had!!! a bonus was the free coffee machine in the lobby for free refill any time you wished.

didn't like the area outside the hotel that had many homeless people. the fact that they don't clean the room every day was weird but you could get fresh towels if you wanted from a station in the upper floors. the pillows were too soft for my taste and i could barely sleep.

The location was very convenient to Munich central Station so would highly recommend if you have early morning trains like we did. The water pressure in the shower was excellent.

We were near bars and restaurants and our room faced the street. It got a little too noisy at night.

Hair dryer was turning off every 30 seconds and you have to wait until it cools down or whatever it was doing ... The bath tub/showering space is quite narrow. The shower hight/angle is not adjustable. Neighborhood and its population is quite suspicious - several bookmakers and more than enough barbershops, characters hanging around, however didn't encounter any problems during one night stay. The street is noisy at night - someone is constantly shouting and arguing.

The coffee machine and water station is just by the reception and it was free! The room and toilet were clean. The hotel was near the metro (5 min walk) and also near the major attractions (15-20 min walk). We had a choice to change towels - love the sustainability option. There was a good restaurant nearby (6 min walk) - Stubn. There was also a well stocker supermarket nearby (2 min walk). First hotel I experienced to offer an online check-in which saved us some time.

Two things - first, the pillows wee really thin, so they were practically flat, although they didn't bother us that much. Second, the toilet paper dispenser was hard to maneuver, but again, it wasn't a big deal.

This charming hotel is close to the main train station (“Hauptbahnhof”) in Munich. Its biggest asset is an outstanding varied breakfast where all items remain available until the end (at 10:30 am). The room is quite comfortable and let it be known that there is NO room cleaning during a multi-day stay. Coffee is freely available downstairs, and a selection of other drinks can be obtained at reasonable prices.

The street-side can be quite noisy throughout the night, so it might be necessary to close the window. My door did not properly shut, requiring some extra attention on my part to be sure the room was actually locked upon leaving for the day.

Well, it is Europe, and everything is different there than in US, so we were prepared for small room, The location is very near the center of the city, a lot of good restaurants around, but because it is on busy street full of street food facilities, it was a noise coming from them, but when you close the windows, it was OK. They don't clean the rooms everyday, but provide with clean towels, and it's a big plus. The room is very small but comfy, the bathroom is OK too. The parking situation is kind of weird, you need to go to the garage by the elevator and the space is small, we had SUV and it was barely enough space to put the car in (my husband said that after several days he could manage it well - practice make the difference, right?). The breakfast was good, and we enjoyed our stay.

No shelves in the bathroom, it was hard to put our stuff in there.

Room was a good size and fairly modern Free coffee from the machine in the lobby Wifi worked ok. Good location close to restaurants, shops and transport Staff were nice and helpful Munich was clean.

The toilets didn't flush properly which is an unusual fault in a good quality hotel. The neighbourhood around the hotel had a large number of poorer folk and some beggars which made us nervous especially walking around at night. There was a fair bit of noise out on the street late into the night that seemed to be from a local Islamic community/businesses. TV was only in German so would have been a nice addition to at least have access to some news or other programs in English. Don't think there was any satellite TV available.

The outside of the Hotel looks very ordinary but the magic happens inside. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best quality we’ve had and better than many of the five star hotels we’ve stayed in. Room 604 was very spacious with a separate living area. We had a balcony with a great view of the rooftops of Munich and it was nice to go outside directly from our room and be able to dry our clothes out there as well. The sound proofing worked very well if all the doors and windows were closed at night. I am a light sleeper but I wasn’t woken up by noise.It was close to trains and the S Bahn. There were shops and restaurants close by. The water was hot and the shower was large. The bed was comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights and there was a self serve housekeeping station where you could help yourself to all the essentials for your room if anything ran out. The room was not made up every day but that suited us because it meant we could come and go as we pleased without having to worry about staff coming in and out to clean.

The breakfast was exceptional! I recommend it even if you are a budget traveler, because it filled us up for the whole day, up until around 16h, we had the opportunity to taste most of bavarian foods there and therefore had avoided pricey cafes where we would have gone only to taste the classics. It was fairly cheap, only 10eu/per considering the value we got :) The room was comfy and the TV had Youtube section, which was nice to have for planning our days :) the personel and atmosphere were quite nice and elegant.

The area around the hotel was not very nice, lots of kebab shops and immigrants doing their thing. However, the train station is fairly close so it is a plus :)

Small fine cozy Hotel, everything was pretty new and all employees were super friendly. Coffee & tea is for free, it's close to Munich main Station and also to the City Center. I felt very comfortable and will sleep there again next time I am in Munich.

The location is 5 min on foot away from Munich main station. The place is lively & safe, a restaurant is opposed to the Hotel but it is not a fancy place like one can expect from Munich, more like a typical area nearby a main station.
