Leonardo Hotel München City Center

Everything was perfect. Staff at the reception and of house keeping, all of whom were really kind and professional. The modern facility, especially the shower booth and sink, where I did not feel any stress about drainage. Well-cleaned room. The street where the hotel is located seemed safer than I expected. Wardrobe with enough shelfs. Thankfully I did not meet bedbugs.

Everything was perfect for me but it would be better for both of my budget and the world (from SDGs view point) if the hotel would offer a plan without breakfast because I do not take it.

Quite modern hotel by german standards, excellent location, lots to do around and in proximity to even more Points of Interest. The room was cleaned every day, tge breakfast was good and had a healthy variety of things to choose from. The stuff was always helpful and pleasant to be around. We were also very happy with the bathroom, which was small but very functional.

The cleaning stuff kept changing the towels every day, even when they were not on the floor. The hotel policy according to the sign in the bathroom is to save water by not washing the towels when not necessary. Apparently that's not the case and climate change is not a priority for Leonardo Hotels.

Hotel was an easy couple of minutes walk from the train station which was perfect for arrival and flying out the next day. We had requested a quiet room and they provided one at the back of the building which was perfect. The room had great facilities: a kettle with tea and coffee provided and a bar fridge - this is unusual in Europe. A free large bottle of water was also provided. The bed was large and comfortable and we had a great sleep. The room had two large windows which could be opened. The breakfast was great! It had a huge selection, the breakfast room was attractive, and the breakfast staff were cheerful, friendly and attentive.

The cleanliness of the room could improve. On arriving at the door of our room, we noticed the corridor outside our room had not been cleaned and when we entered the room, the entry had also not been cleaned. Not a great first impression. The bathroom was small and could do with an update, particularly the shower. The glass sliding bathroom door was located quite close to one side of the bed. The lighting was inadequate and made the room so dim it was difficult to pack the next morning as we couldn't see well!

There is a lot to like about this hotel. Their breakfast is fantastic with hot food options like German sausage and schnitzel as well as fresh fruits and the standard continental fare- on the weekend there were also bottles of Prosecco and beer in case you wanted a morning drink! The bedroom was clean and comfy, it’s a stones throw from the train station and super close to all the main tourist attractions. The hotel also offers to gift you toiletry essentials like toothbrush and toothpaste, sanitary products- my brother had not brought a razor so the hotel concierge gave him a razor and shaving cream free of charge. Plus checkout isn’t till 12 noon!!! I would definitely return here for my next visit to Munich.

The Hotel fully met our requirements being close to the Central Railway Station Marienplatz and other attractions. Within a 5 minute walk were a number of fast-food outlets and just next door was an excellent Italian restaurant. We would be pleased to stay here again in future if our travels bring us this way.

Breakfast was expensive and the hot food section could certainly have been more extensive. I had no problem over cleanliness but my wife thought that the hand basin needed a thorough clean.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the train station and a short walk to different your departure points. We only had to walk 5 minutes to our Dachau tour and for our Neuschwanstein tour. Marienplatz and city center views are about 10-15 minute walk. Our room was comfortable with a nice stone Shower. Lots of restaurants close by, or Uber Eats can come right to your room. The front desk was very helpful, our train was scheduled late after we checked out but we were able to keep our bags locked in the lobby storage area. Also our train tickets needed to be printed and the train station was no help, but the front desk at Leonardo Royal was happy to print them off for us, we just emailed them the PDF.

Location close to city centre and rail connections. Excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. Room cleaned and freshened daily and very accomodating staff in restaurant. Baggage stored after check out which helped us with a late flight.

High temperatures in Munich on our first night were not overcome by suboptimal air conditioning in the room. A fan was provided to us but it did not solve the problem. Temperature drop meant room was more manageable in subsequent days. However, this is not acceptable for a four star hotel advertising air conditioned rooms. Area around the hotel is gritty.

Room was comfortable but room area is small. location is strategic to be near to train station, trams and busses. (3-5 minutes walking). Breakfast had different alternatives with good taste. cattle of boiled water were available. safety case was available. staff were lovely.

Area of the room was narrow. lights should be stronger. Iron device was not available for clothe ironing.

This hotel was excellent. They had a great breakfast. They had a variety of food items and there was plenty of it. The hotel is located across the street from the train station. This made it easy to travel to Nuremberg and to/from the airport. The room was clean and very comfortable.

The room needed more lighting. As long as there was daylight that could come through the windows, it was OK. But, once it was night time, the lighting of the room was so bad that we could not read. Other than that one thing, this hotel was great!

A easy walk to both the train station and old Town Munich. Room was large for EU standards. Room was clean and fresh. Slept like a baby. Very little to no street noise. Which can be rare in bigger cities in the summer.

A fan in the room would have helped. It's been a hot summer. Possibly add better night door security, but we did feel secure. And watch out for the shower, it liked to spray out of the door when you first turn it on, and the handle is easily bumped while showering. Not that I minded a momentary blast of cold water with the heat this summer. Overall it was a very nice stay.
