Akzent Hotel Roter Löwe

What a find - almost bang in the centre of Ulm, a short walk from the Minster and the Old Town, this very smart hotel with parking. The Akzent Hotel Roter Loewe is much smarter (chic, even) on the inside than ever you'd guess from the outside. The main downstairs room is a bar in the evening (with tables and parasols out the front) and a breakfast room in the morning. It is very thoughtfully laid out and artfully furnished with all manner of pictures and artefacts - must have cost a small fortune. The bedrooms are super smart, too. The parking is in a building next door. Overall, excellent.

Comfy and bright room, good restaurant with vegetarian options, decent breakfast options in a pleasant environment. The location is excellent, in a funky area with cafés and restaurants, a few minutes walk from Ulm Hbf in one direction and Ulm minster in the other. Among the best value for the price of many hotels between Ulm and Ingolstadt.

The staff seemed a bit hassled, both at check-in and during breakfast. Relax, you're doing an excellent job! Maybe your boss needs to tell you that more often.

The hotel is in a great location - close to the train station and in the old town. The room was big enough for a family of four. The beds were comfortable, but it would be good to have more options for pillows. The breakfast was really tasty. The restaurant on the ground floor is fantastic - we stayed for two nights and both evenings went there. We liked the pool on the ground floor that is available for guests.

There is no AC in the room and it was a hot day.

Staff was super supportive and very friendly - ready to help. The roo was 'wierd'. A shower next to the bed with just a sheet of glass in between

No possible way to stop the splashing from the shower onto the room floor. The sink was very 'futuristic'. Very modern BUT the bottom of it was rough stone/concrete that must collect bacteria, soap residue etc.

Super location with close proximity to the train station, cathedral and shopping areas Excellent breakfast with great range of items to choose from and breakfast was available very early in the morning. The adjacent restaurant was also excellent and even served me quite late at night. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Very close to the city center, bike rental for free, good breakfast, easy access, clean, friendly staff, nice room. The hotel itself is perfect, the staff is very friendly and rooms are very nice. An advice: Just bare in mind that you will be in the city center, and the church bell rings at every 15 or 30 minutes also during the night. But this is it, if you want to stay close to the city center, this hotel is the right choice.

Great location, amazing breakfast, very comfortable room and bathroom size. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel also has a very reasonably priced parking at the center of Ulm.

Unfortunately there was an issue with wifi the day we stayed at the hotel. It was not fixed in time for us to enjoy the wifi, but I cannot complain too much, these things can happen. Plus it was the Wine festival at Ulm on that same day and the hotel was part of the organization.

Clean and spacious room, perfect location just a few minutes walk from the Muenster, excellent breakfast - the best variety I've seen in Germany, great customer service. A garage in the same building was a great bonus.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the day we stayed, so we didn't get a chance to try the food there.

Great hotel in Ulm . Reception was very friendly. Great indoor secure bicycle storage . Lift to upper floors . Room very clean and cheery . Bathroom clean with toiletries. Excellent on-site restaurant with great food choices, good price point and wonderful serving staff . Breakfast was one of the best that we have had in our many hotel breakfasts over the years of bike touring .

Can’t think of a thing

Location was great - The room was fine. The pool was small but my two kids enjoyed it and had it all to themselves. The breakfast was quite good. Overall, I was satisfied.

The wifi was really not great. We booked two rooms and they were in different sections of the hotel, requiring two different elevators and key cards that activated those elevators.
