Hotel Goldenes Rad

A very convenient hotel for a short stay in Ulm. The cathedral is right around the corner, the Rathaus also very close. Easy to reach from the railway station, by bus or on foot. The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was quite all right, I was lucky to arrive early as there were some problems with seating later because of a birthday party .

Sensor control on the handwash basin. Extremely unpractical when you want to do something else than wash your hands, for example when shaving or brushing your teeth. Because you cannot control the amount of water coming from the tap, the result is that you use more water than you need and it splashes all around.

Clean, comfortable modern. Great location between old and new town and on cathedral square. Ulm is a lovely town and this is a great base to explore from. We took the train along the danube line and although the weather was only OK it was an enjoyable trip. The bed and shower were great. The beer in the bar was great and good price too.

The bathroom is so modern it has a sliding glass door and lacks privacy. There is no tea and coffee in the room, just water.

Excellent location, modern facilities, clean location, and very pet friendly (even large dogs are welcome).

Complicated arrival by car, as the hotel has no parking. However, the adjected public parking is available, but for a a longer stay rather expensive. Furthermore, the rooms are relatively small, which could be an issue for larger families, but this is European standard especially in cities.

The location is super central, all highlights are in walking-distance. Sound insulation was very good too. The hotel itself did not have a parking, but there is a very good public covered parking - Parking am Rathaus - right in front of it, for € 18,50 per 24 hours.

After 10pm you have to use your keycard to enter the hotel. The indication of the keycard reader was not that clear (in fact, on our 2nd night coming back to the hotel, we found a fellow guest looking around a bit helpless for the cardreader)

Modern hotel. In the city center. Nice breakfast. We stayed at room 601 which was actually a studio rather than a standard room. This made our stay even more pleasant [even though we had to take the stairs from the 5th floor in order to get to our room]. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Perfect for a short city break. In the centre. Clean. Friendly staff. Large choice of breakfast (though not to our taste but that is not their fault!)

Just a few quirks, like the tap does not work if you don’t put the card in at the door (logical as it is sensor-operated, just proved baffling at first).

Our 2nd stay in this hotel (which says a lot). Great breakfast. Great location - right next to the Munster. Very good rooms - good bathroom with strong shower (though didn't like the sliding door with transparent bottom - not for everybody's taste).

Just the bathroom door, really. And lack of A/C, though the supplied floor fan helped a bit.

We love this hotel! Location, room condition, beautiful breakfast(very reasonable price), strong Wfi and extra... all we are satisfied. Also, on Saterday, farmer's market was amazed.

Nothing. We were worried about the parking, but very near and reasonable price.

Great staff and facility. Wonderful breakfast with eggs to order and super buffet. Nice air conditioned room with all modern amenities. If you're stuck staying in Ulm, this is the place to be. Right out the door is the massive cathedral and plaza.

Ulm. Dirty town. If you want to see the cathedral, make it a one hour visit towards somewhere else.

Great location, public parking garage 1 minute away on foot. Friendly staff, right in the middle of the city so all kinds of restaurants nearby. The rooms are very nice and very clean.

they only offer breakfast so no room service or dinner available but its not that bad because of the many options nearby.
