Opera Garden Hotel & Apartments

Location was really great and easy to find in any app or asking locals even without language knowledge (just say "Opera). Lovely area. Everything is just steps away or one-two minutes walk - restaurants, cafes, shops, boutiques, supermarket, public transport (including metro), Red Bus stops (7 and 1) and their selling points. We liked the non-waste breakfast with carefully selected fresh local products (really in love with that yogurt with fresh berries!). Soft daily fresh towels, L'Occitain toiletries and good water pressure made us happy after a long day.

The bed are good but the pillows are not comfy at all :( Unfortunately, our room (on site apartment) was overlooking the construction site on the road and was very noisy. The good point is that the windows are very good and reduce the noise.

The rooms where extremely neat even though getting to the the 4th floor require you to climb some steps after getting off the elevator on the 3rd floor. But that wasn't an issue because the officials were ready to help you carry your luggage in. The location was superb and very close to the Opera-Haz which you can easily get a bus to any destination. The officials are very helpful with tourist as they will advise you on the best option to choose from incase you want to tour the whole town and see the iconic places of Hungary. Their breakfast was simply amazing with lots of varieties.

Because of its closeness to the town and the presence of many restaurants and pubs around, sometimes you could hear noise from the 4th floor so if they could soundproof their rooms, it will be better.

Incredible hospitality from the staff! All problems were solved quickly and each staff member was ready to do their best to help. Rooms were ok and having a kitchen was quite convenient. Great location, just 3 min walk from Opera (both opera building and metro station). Mulled wine and tea on the first floor was a very pleasant bonus.

Breakfast was quite weak (6 out of 10 imho), but having it was still better than not having :D Rooms were a bit old and heating system was breaking nearly every day, but usually everything was fixed quickly and temperature in the room was alright (even despite cold weather with -3 degrees at night).

The hotel was centrally located, some of the rooms/apartments are across the pedestrian street so very easy to access, but you still need to cross a public pedestrian street to go for breakfast. Breakfast was good, with vegan, vegetarian and lactose free options. The room was very clean and comfortable.

I had a ground floor room so my window looked straight at the said pedestrian street albeit the height meant one had to purposefully look inside. All in all there wasn't much noise though and the curtains could block the streetlamp light, protect from snoopy bystanders.

location of the hotel (in central area) is very well suited for those who want to walk the city. we received an upgrade for a side apartment with 2 levels. very spacious and well well furnished, with comfortable beds on both levels. we preferred to use the first floor as a bedroom and the ground floor as a living room. the breakfast is tasty, although it does not vary much from one day to the next.

the heating is done through the air conditioning system and practically all night there was quite a loud noise upstairs. from the second night we decided not to turn on the heating on the first floor and to "force" it only on the one on the ground floor, it was a quieter sleep.

I have travelled with my family for business and pleasure. On our arrival there was a bottle of white wine waiting and goodies for my 8 year old son and the umbrellas placed beside the door was very handy. Small touches like this makes the difference. The apartment was as described and very clean and spacious. Location excellent and everything was within a very short distance away. I would certainly stay in Opera Garden Hotel Apartments again as it offers everything you could possibly need and great value for money.

Our experience at Opera Garden Hotel & Apartments was delightful in every aspect. The breakfast offered was delicious and provided a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. The room we stayed in was spacious, providing ample room for relaxation and comfort throughout our stay. Additionally, the hotel's location was superb, offering easy access to key attractions and amenities in the area, making our exploration of the city convenient and enjoyable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Opera Garden and would highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a comfortable stay in a prime location. There some rentable e-scooters around the area, you just need to download the app Tier and it will show you in the map where they are.

We loved everything, the friendly reception staff, the excellent breakfast team members who couldn't do enough for everyone, the snacks left out during the day for guests along with the chocolate snacks and mulled wine in the evening. We were lucky enough to get to use the sauna during our stay which was heaven after a long day walking around beautiful Budapest. The welcome note on arrival with the complimentary bottle of wine and then to top it all off, the complimentary bottles of water when we checked out. We will definitely be back.

Pros: the hotel has a very convenient location; you can walk to almost any attraction in half an hour. If you don’t want to walk, you can take a taxi through the Bolt app - we liked it - it’s fast and inexpensive. Our apartments were located in a separate building (we took a junior suite). The room is small, two floors with two large beds. The room has everything you need, including a coffee machine (capsules are free), electric water, a kettle, a microwave and all the necessary utensils. I was pleasantly surprised by the refrigerator, despite its size, it was very roomy. Special thanks to the reception staff: very friendly, professional, ready to help with any question. Of the minuses: there is no bathroom, there is only a shower. Breakfast is not varied, although it is very tasty and a glass of champagne can reconcile with the lack of abundance))). And the last minus is that for breakfast you had to go to another building, which, in the cold conditions, was not very good. But in summer, for example, this is not a problem. As a result: we were satisfied with our vacation, we will be happy to recommend this hotel to our friends. Thank you!

I stayed there 4 days and it was a very nice staying for me. First of all, the room was well-equipped, I did not need anything else. There were everything I need in the kitchen and the bedroom. The pillow and the bed were so comfortable that I could sleep easily. It was very warm and it made me happy since it was very cold outside. I liked drinking hot wine when I turned back to hotel in evenings, it was very delicious and luckily I could find all the time although it was free. The breakfast was perfect, there were many and different things for people having different tastes. When it was raining outside, they supplied even an umbrella! A very thoughtful and kind hotel, I will defitinely stay here if I go to the Budapest again. Btw, it was in the center of Budapest, I could easily walk to everywhere. Transportation to the airpost was also very easy, I got the bus 100E and then walked 10 minutes... It would be the best choice for those who desire staying in the center and loving comfort.
