Up Hotel Budapest

Excellent as usual, great position, everything is near. Very relaxing.....Nice decorations, big beautiful rooms. My favourite hotel. I am a returning customer.

Disgusting smell of the sewerage in the bathroom which spread out to the room.

Good location close to public transport & found it really easy getting a bus & metro from the airport. The room was perfect size for me and the terrace was great to be able to relax in the sun. I went out for food and drink instead of staying in the hotel but theres loads of places within walking distance & shops close by.

The only thing I would criticise in the room was that in the bathroom it was a little dusty on the shelves and on the coffee machine but that's not a big deal, it was a lovely hotel.

Very modern and clean. Good breakfast, comfortable beds, even the second bed, which is a sofa bed, was really comfortable.

There is no physical phone, everything is done through a tablet or TV. When this doesn't work the only way you can speak to the concierge team is by going to them. Our tablet kept losing connection and the AC stopped working twice - once in the night. Mod cons are great when they work but when they don't work it is a pain if there is no back up plan.

the location, the parking

there was only hot burning water at the shower and the cleaning lady came to our room before check out which disturbed our stay. also 1 h before check out they cut the electricity for our room.

very good hotel situated on a square with very nice park and a street market in the morning. Nicely renovated building with a big atrium full of light. Very pleasant and helpful staff Good breakfast.

Some dirt under the bed, no night stands in the room. Not the best sweet breakfast pastry (probably baked from the frozen goods)

The room was amazing! Very relaxing room with view at the park. The room has everything you might need and lots of technology. The breakfast covers a great variety of choices and its very tasty. Next to metro and tram station.

The hotel was beautiful and modern. It was in an excellent location as we were close to everything. The staff are excellent and could not be more helpful. The breakfast was amazing. A huge selection of food of every type,catering for the needs of everyone. There was a gym, sun terrace and sauna room on the 4th floor which was brilliant.

The twin beds in the superior room are tiny. One feature of our room which nobody seemed to mention in the reviews is that the bathroom and shower are in the same room as the beds. There is no separate area. I was using the toilet with my friend in her bed only feet away. Does not allow for any privacy atal. Very off-putting. The bar in the hotel is extremely expensive and you get charged a service charge every round, even though we got our drinks at the bar. A round is more expensive than what it costs at home. Every bar in the town we went to was half the cost. Explained why the bar was empty every single night !!

The hotel is in centrally located near Oktogon but off the main street ensuring glorius peace and quiet. It was beautifully designed with all the comforts that a person needs, even for a longer stay. My check-in experience was positive: I arrived earlier than the check-in time and the hotel staff stored my luggage so I could spend time in the city, without fuss and came back at the appropriate time to complete check-in. I was also able to extend my stay beyond my checkout time until 4 pm for a reasonable fee. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom excellent and well equipped. there was even a diffuser attachment for the hair dryer (curly girls get it!) and enough toiletries to last the booked stay. The nespresso machine was a welcome bonus for an avid coffee lover, which I could enjoy in the gorgeous morning sunshine on the giant balcony.

The bathroom drain was beautifully designed as a straight line but utterly useless in terms of functionality as it did not drain and kept flooding the bathroom. Given that I had paid for a late check-out, I still had housekeeping trying to get in in the morning and someone trying to bang the door down at 11 am to ask me to leave while I was in the shower. It could have been a 9 but lost a point for that.
