Trident Chennai

Trident, Chennai bowled us over with their hospitality. We had made an early check-in around 1pm, and were promptly accommodated. 1. The room had a very good vibe about it, with literally the fluffiest of pillows that I have seen, ensuring sound sleep. 2. Their lunch buffet at Cinnamon was excellent, both variety of options and taste-wise. 3. The pool is nestled right beside the lawn, allowing for a relaxed time. The water feels a little cold in the beginning, but gets fine in about 5-10 mins. 4. On one instance, when we required a cab very urgently, and none showed up, they were prompt to serve us with the hotel vehicles at a nominal fee. Overall, thanks to the Trident's hospitality team for being very warm and caring. Would highly recommend.

1. The hotel is at least 30+ years old, so some features such as taking shower in the bathtub feels a bit dated. 2. With a large team of employees, sometimes messages get lost in transit. Am sure they'd improve with constructive feedback.

The service was the best! We ordered hotel taxi to pick us up from the airport and poor people had to wait for us for 1,5 hours but still welcomed us with a smile. In the hotel everyone was so friendly and helpful! They pay attention to the details. Big thanks to Laxmi in the reception. Room was clean and comfortable, we got free water and all toiletries we needed. Food in the restaurant was great! Also the pool area was nice

The hotel has a bit of a”old fashioned “ design and was feeling a bit humid in the room (but also it’s super humid outside in general)

The proximity to the airport is a major plus, making it the perfect choice for those with early arrivals or late departures. What truly stood out to me was the complimentary pick-up and drop-off service, eliminating the hassle of transportation. The hotel boasts fantastic facilities, and the culinary offerings are nothing short of exceptional. The service is top-notch, making it an easy and enjoyable place to stay. The pool is not only spacious but also surrounded by ample seating and loungers, creating a relaxing environment. For fitness enthusiasts, the modern gym equipped with state-of-the-art machines is a definite highlight. Additionally, the spa provides excellent services and uses high-quality products, ensuring a rejuvenating experience. One delightful surprise was the complimentary evening drinks and snacks available in the third-floor lounge from 6-8 pm. Although we don't consume alcohol, we still appreciated the selection of soft drinks and snacks—a thoughtful touch that added to our overall satisfaction. Whether you're looking for a convenient overnight stay or planning a longer visit, this hotel is the perfect choice. It's conveniently located not far from the seafront and Phoenix Mall, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service, excellent amenities, and overall comfort. A five-star experience indeed!

Real luxury 5 star hotel close to the airport. Very comfortable rooms and a delightful pool below palm trees and a pair of coucals in residence. Food in the coffee shop was very good. Taxi arrangements excellent. Foyer has some interesting reproductions of ancient carvings but staff were not able to identify them for me, which was a shame. Staff in restaurant were brilliant, responding with great tact when I questioned what an Indian pint was - I was wrong, they were right, of course.

Noise from airport and roads but rooms well soundproofed. We were hoping to eat at the main restaurant but it had a fixed menu and we are very light eaters.

The location was perfect for my early morning flight the next day. The hospitality was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. The taxi service to the airport and a complimentary packed breakfast were arranged.

The email communications were disappointing. Until I was at the hotel, my requests were not addressed and they kept refering to me by default as mr (pronoun) despite correcting them several times to miss. It was so annoying. For the price, I expected good taste and quality but the food wasn't the best. Maybe it was just the dish I ordered.

The location of the hotel is very near to the airport which is very convenient to those who have next flight within a day or two. The atmosphere inside the hotel is calm, soothing and pleasant. The check-in was very quick and friendly.

The shower area together with a bath tub in the provided room was very small which is really inconvenient for a comfortable bath. The furnitures inside the room was outdated which really requires an uplift. The choices of food for the breakfast requires improvement.

Well soundproofed rooms, due very close to the airport. Transfer time in early morning 10 minutes. Staff throughout were charming and always happy to help. Large buffets plus alc menu. Buffets are 60% Indian and 40% western. Plenty of choices for all..

The Club floor, requiring additional payment, has a small lounge, with a complementary bar and snacks, open for 3 hours in the evening. Most of the alcohol offered is Indian produced so some odd tastes!

For many years - unfortunately interrupted by the pandemic - I have started my stay in India at Trident. The hotel is close to the airport. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I always felt welcome and well looked after. The breakfast is very extensive. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The insulation of the windows helps to ensure that very little aircraft noise can be heard. I will be staying at the Trident again in 2024. I can highly recommend the stay.

room is large, clean, light and very comfortable. Staff are incredibly attentive and courteous. The airport is 4 mins drive away but unless you are sitting outside, you do not hear any traffic, air or otherwise! Food is really good.

Well, i like to be able to open the window, irrespective of noise and or heat. That's the only down I have here, but it would not stop me coming here. I always stay here on arrival to and dept from India.

The hotel is about a 5-minute drive from the airport. With the heavy Chennai traffic, it is recommended you stay close to the airport especially if you have an early flight. The hotel is spotless and tastefully decorated. The staff are outstanding and incredibly professional. The food is excellent and they even pack you breakfast on request if you have to leave before 6 am. I loved the rooms which are equipped with everything you can think of. If the room faces the busy road, you have wooden sliding doors in front of the windows to cut out the noise.
