Ubud Village Hotel

We loved the decor and style of the hotel, and especially the indoor swimming pool which was super quiet! our room was beautiful and the staff had taken care to leave us rose petals on the bed and in the bath as it was our honeymoon :) the price was amazing (we booked last minute) and we loved the outdoor terrace. We also had an amazing facial and massage in the spa. The hotel also arranged our taxi back to Seminyak. the staff were brilliant! The hotel is located in the centre of Ubud making it super easy to visit the local attractions. We were also given a welcome drink.

We would have liked the outdoor pool to have stayed open a bit later; the signage throughout the hotel could also be clearer - but no other complaints at all.

location was great, near to everywhere. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Property so clean, the room very huge even the hotel complex not so big and the most important for me is they provide fully functional mini fridge to make ice and chill our drink n fruit.

the pool was so small and covered by bulding so we neber try it, the front security need more smile to guest, breakfast option need more menu variant, it getting bored when stay more than 5 nights.

The staff are so friendly, the room was very spacious for myself and my toddler and the shower was amazing!

unfortunately the wifi in the rooms is really bad. it kept disconnecting and I was not able to work consistently without it going off or having to reconnect

The location is fabulous & the staff are wonderful. special shout out to Desi who was so helpful.

The pool has no seats to sit around and gets no sun, but my visit here was not for sunbathing, just a point to consider if it’s important for you.

Hotel Ubud Village is located in the heart of Ubud, in a street full of excellent restaurants and shops. Although everything is hectic outside, when you enter the hotel you enter an oasis of complete peace. Across the street from the hotel is a small mini market open 24 hours a day. We chose a wonderful room with a balcony and a view of the pool. The room is really spacious with a large bed and a sofa. The bathroom with bathtub and shower is also large and has excellent water pressure. The balcony is fantastic, very private, has a sofa and table with chairs. You can order breakfast on the balcony. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help and provide information. I needed an eye doctor and I contacted the reception. I got a lot of help from them. They called the hospital and organized a doctor for me. I am very grateful to those wonderful people named Wayan, Dewa and Risma, who took care of us as if we were family members and not hotel guests. If I could, I would give them 20 points, instead of the possible 10. I think the location of the hotel deserves 10 points, hotel room 10, bed 10, bathroom 10, cleanliness 10, breakfast 9, pool 9.

There are two things that bothered me a little, but they are not the reason I wouldn't come again. 1) The light in the room and the bathroom is very weak (like everywhere in Bali) It is impossible to put on make-up in the bathroom under that light, or even read a book in bed. I think at least there should be better lighting in the bathroom. 2) The pool closes too early (at 7 o'clock in the evening). It would be much better if it was open at least until 9.

Accommodation is right in the centre of Ubud. We stayed in a villa which is on the roof of the hotel. It is spacious, clean, bright and even during the day it is pleasant to be there. It has a lot of storage space and is suitable for a longer stay (we were here for a week). The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfasts are a bit monotonous but of very good quality.

The accommodation is in the centre so even though we were on the rooftop you could hear the noise from the surrounding area at night - especially live concerts from the restaurant next door. However, it was nothing we couldn't handle. Wifi could have been a little more stable but we got what we needed on the internet.

This hotel was amazing. As a first time visitor to Ubud, this hotel was a great start in terms of location. Within walking distance to the monkey forest, surrounded by restaurants and tourist attractions also nearby. Staff were so friendly and very attentive. Despite the hotel being busy, it felt so quiet and peaceful. The pool was often empty, breakfast almost felt private and we felt very special! The breakfast was absolutely incredible too - don’t skip this! I have read reviews regarding the darkness of the rooms, and whilst we agree there is little natural light, we have never slept better so I suppose it depends on your personal view but it wasn’t an issue for us! They also have a gym (basic but good) and a little games room which we enjoyed after coming back from dinner. Overall, a truly fantastic hotel, especially if you want that added sense of luxury, for such a reasonable price. We will be recommending to anyone !

Excellent location on the main street however once in the hotel, you wouldn't know you were in central Ubud due to the calmness and quietness. The room was an excellent size, bed was huge and the aircon was amazing. Everything was exceptionally clean and the pool area was great. We thought the breakfast was really good. Fruit, cereals and pastries to help your self too then a menu of hot dishes to choose from which really sets you up for a day of exploring. Last but not least, the staff were so friendly and helpful and would never walk past without saying good morning, good evening, how are you. We couldn't have asked for more staying here and would 100% stay again and recommend.

Nothing at all

Every time we went to dine in, the staff were ever so attentive. For instance, I dropped a tea spoon on the floor during breakfast, before I realised, the waitress already brought a new teaspoon. Everybody was so friendly and genuinely interested in talking to us and talk about their Balinese culture. They even had a pool table for guests to enjoy while on vacation. There was a library as well. We always returned to amazingly clean and tidy rooms. The housekeeping staff were ever so courteous and even folded our clothes if we had forgotten to fold them. The location is just brilliant! It is so central to everything in Ubud.

really good location in the centre of ubud, the hotel has a authentic feel to it and like you were still in the trees when inside! the staff couldn’t be more helpful! they had a gym which was perfect for what we needed. rooftop terrace was lovely with free afternoon tea from 4-5pm everyday! breakfast was really good with lots of options. can’t thank the staff enough they were the best and so kind and welcoming!

the only problem for me was the bedroom had no windows at all, so no natural light and we paid more for a room with a balcony and the balcony faced a concrete wall inside and so no light from here either! could have done to be a little brighter that’s all, but was perfect for sleeping in as it was completely black out!
