They have male and female staff who were all super friendly and helpful and knew enough English to be able to help with whatever I needed. The best part about this hotel was the location, Ueno station is one of the major metro stations in Tokyo and it was a convenient 7 min walk. Area was safe, my girls and I would walk from the station back to our hotel after 10pm every day and it was no issue, nobody bats an eye everyone just wants to get home as much as you do. Highly recommend this area if you are coming from Narita airport because there is a train that takes you from Narita airport straight to Ueno and vice versa, it made life so much easier tickets were just $25 as opposed to a $65 taxi. The alleys right in front of Ueno station have great cheap food and close late. The room itself was nothing special but just enough. 7 eleven and Family mart (5 min away) were great for stocking on water bottles and snacks. Always felt safe in this hotel and area.

You do get what you pay for so the rooms weren't so clean. The bathroom curtain was yellow the toilet and the floor was dirty and the pillows had stains. As much of a germophobe as I am I had to suck it up because it could honestly be worse for the price and the convenience. Rooms are TINY but that is normal for Japan. No coin washing machines but their partner hotel (2 minute walk) had some available for use including detergent to buy and dryers. Also there is no ramp when walking into the lobby for the set of stairs.

Amiable front staff (I spoke in Japanese but they could speak English well- I overheard them with other guests); quiet area close to the tourist area Ueno (ten to fifteen minute walk which I don’t mind, or just a few minutes away from a metro station); smallish room which is the standard for a Japanese business hotel of this type (not an issue for us as we had no luggage and only a day trip bag); good price.

Could have been cleaned much much better (I did a quick clean myself of the bathroom on seeing dust and hairs in obvious and also hidden areas- it only requires a little more effort), that’s ok by me for at this price point…

I’ve 3 bookings of this hotel in this trip ( total 6 nights) . I’ll sum up in this review. - friendly and helpful staff, quick to solve problem, did not hesitate to talk to guests who didn’t have good manner ( playing loud music at late night) -understand English -Good location -very comfortable bed and pillows -reasonable price -can keep luggages for many night for free as long as you have next booking here ( pls check with the hotel first, I don’t know the maximum days they’ll allow)

- in the Queen-bed rooms I stayed 21-22/2 and 26-28/2, the curtain in bathroom had bad smell. Twin rooms have no problem. -had to carry luggages over stairs at the front of the hotel ( no slope) . it’s just a few step but it’d be nicer if there’s a slope. - had to carry laundry to the adjacent hotel , would be nice if the hotel has its own laundry room.

The twin room was perfect! One of the biggest hotel rooms I've stayed in Tokyo. We had so much space to unpack and sort out our luggage. Bathroom was wonderful with a bathtub! We also did our laundry at the sister Mystays hotel behind which also has a nice street view of Tokyo Skytree. When we were too lazy to walk to Ueno station, we just took the subway from Inaricho station nearby to save energy. There are min 2 combinis nearby and a Mcd across the road for quick bites.

The aircon/heating is controlled centrally so our rooms are warm most of the time, making it uncomfortable to sleep. They have a cooler in the room but it doesn't work well to chill the room. Only on the last night, the room temp worked out so I never really figured out how to balance the temperature.

The Standard Twin Room was roomy and more spacious than other hotels we stayed in Japan. Better than our expectations. The hotel is walking distance to a metro station and JR station with a FamilyMart nearby. Ueno is a bit out of the main Tokyo area however as the metro station is nearby, it was not an issue for us to get around. This is also the main reason that the hotel price is more affordable and I found this hotel is value for money. Our family of 5 with grown up kids stayed in two Standard Twin Rooms next to each other. We enjoyed our final days in Tokyo before flying back home. If you want spacious room, recommend booking the Standard Twin room. We will definitely coming back to this hotel.

None. Absolutely like this hotel. The front entrance stairs that people complained about are only 6 steps. The front desk is 24hr so can ask for assistance to carry up luggages if required.

it was very near to a train station. even if we didn't ask for make room they kept it clean daily with fresh sleep wear for the night. there was a free wifi. they kept our luggage for free when we arrived early. tho facility wasn't new, they kept it clean and tidy and well functioning. very good value for money for a family of 3 staying for 7 nights. free toiletries at the reception

the room was a bit small for all our luggages. im not aware of any coin laundry near the area. the wifi is free so i cant complain much of it being slow or cut off at times. no access for stroller or wheelchair. we have to carry the stroller many times up and down the front stairs of the hotel.

The room size is good. Location is about 800 meters from Ueno train station but close to Inaricho station. Within a walking distance to Ameyoko, Ueno Park, and Takeya shopping center if you like walking. Staff speaks good English. And the best thing is they keep your luggage without charge if you will go away for a few days and will come back to stay with them.

My flight got delayed and I loss one night stay in this hotel. Due to that I'm asking for compensation from the flight company and the hotel staff has been very helpful in providing me with related docs for that objective. The room is large enough for my family of 5, very clean and the mattress is also comfy. The lighting is a bit dim, but other than that I have no complaint. The room is actually for 4 people, but since we are 2 adults with 3 young kids, the staff allowed the stay without extra charge. Very friendly and helpful staff I must say :* Hotel is also a walking distance to the Inaricho train station.

I'm sad that we are able to stay for a night only due to the flight delay. That's my only regret.

Hotel is clean. Room is big, with a small couch and coffee table, making it comfortable for small chats. The location is very near to one of the train station (with lifts), about 250m away only. The staffs are helpful, speak some english and allowed us to keep our luggage even after we checked out due to our night flight.

Probably there is no ramps for the luggage to the front desk, so we have to carry them up and down. Just a few steps only.

I like the fact that they have freebies for us to get like facial care and fresh new pajamas, towels ready everyday. I also like that the hotel is near a metro and convenience stores. The hotel even provided a phone charger in the room.
