Hotel Casa Margarita

Very well located hotel on the main street close to all the cafes and shops and main plaza, within walking distance of all the main sights and the bus station. Rooms are located around a lovely central courtyard. The room was well appointed with tv and ensuite. Staff were very friendly. And the room happened to be available when I arrived early in the morning so they let me check in.

Because the rooms are located around the central courtyard which is also a restaurant you can hear the noise from the courtyard in the rooms (or at least the room I was in situated on the ground floor in the corner of the courtyard). This ended by 2200 or 2300 so wasn't a problem but imagine it could be if customers are eating late at the restaurant.

Perfect location - right on the main pedestrianised street of the city with lovely bars, restaurants and shops just moments away. My room was comfortable and cosy with a large bathrooms The staff were all really lovely and kind!

I was travelling alone but I think the queen bedroom I was staying in would be quite small for two people. Because of the size of the room, there was no bedside table which would have been nice to have for water, my book, phone etc.

At first i stayed in the rooms downstairs - it was so noisy. When I move upstairs it was less noisy but you still hear ppl talking. There is no heater in the room, and the sheets fells some time damp. The room is not for 2 ppl. Take the bigger one. And in the upper rooms the curtain transparent so there is not so much privacy and there is light from outside

Great location, close to everything. Lovely patio whe re we enjoyed a really nice breakfast. We were lucky to get the highest room in the building (room 44) which was really spatious and full of sunlight. And the beds were sooooo comfortable!!!!

the location could not be better: in the center of San cristobal, when you walk out of the hotel you are in the middle of the city center. There is a parking spot that you can use for free. The staff is always happy to help and really made us feel super welcome, especially Ramon. The style of the building is colonial, everything is quite well maintained and the room is clean. It took a bit of time for the shower to get warm, but at least there was warm water and the shower itself was also pleasant. There are many nice breakfast and coffee places around and we felt really safe in the city in general. Right behind the hotel there is this amazing Italian restaurant, trattoria Catanzaro, a must go. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you guys for everything!

The hospitality of the staff is amazing. The location is great as you get to simply walk outside where all the vendors, music , and restaurants are. It is the perfect location!

There was one instance where we did not have water or electricity. But it wasn't not just at the hotel it was the entire block. We had a tour scheduled for that morning which made it a bit difficult to get ready.

The building is beautiful and the location is ideal. It is right on the main walking street and a great restaurant, La Lupe, is across the way. The Zocalo is only about 2 short blocks away and it's an easy walk to just about everything.

If you are a solo traveler or travel light, the room should be fine. But the bed takes up most of the space and there's little place to open a suitcase or put belongings. There is only one outlet available, and it's over the sink. We need to keep several devices charged, so it was a constant juggle. If you need to work remotely while traveling, this might not be the best lodging for you. The shower can take a very long time to get hot, but it does eventually. The internet was pretty slow, but worked ok.

Location was great, right in the middle of Real de Guadalupe, which is one of the main pedestrian-only streets in the city center, but the rooms were tucked away in the center of the compound so we did not hear any street noises at night! Staff was so nice and friendly as well. There is also a tour agency office in the hotel itself so it was very convenient. Rooms were very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

All video streaming services were blocked on the wifi. This wasn't a huge problem but would have appreciated getting a heads up about this during or after booking.

Great location on main street, 15mins walk from bus station. Quiet room on upper floor with (almost) private terrace. Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant on site if required

Perfect location , on pedestrian street , but the rooms at the back part are quiet. hot & cold drinking water on each floor

i was lucky to have room at top floor so view & sunshine on the patio
