I recently had the privilege of experiencing an unforgettable retreat at Hotel Parador Margarita, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot into the tastefully designed lobby, I was embraced by the warm and inviting atmosphere that permeated throughout the entire establishment. The first thing that struck me was the impeccable attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel. The staff members were not only professional but genuinely friendly, ensuring that every guest felt like a VIP from check-in to check-out. Their dedication to providing exceptional service truly stood out, making me feel comfortable and well-attended from the very beginning. The accommodations at Hotel Parador Margarita were beyond luxurious. My suite was a tranquil oasis of comfort, featuring elegantly furnished spaces with a remarkable view of the surrounding landscape.( Thanks to Jimena. She gave me the best room although I booked a room that had no balcony)The attention to detail was evident in every corner of the room, with plush bedding, exquisite bathroom amenities, and state-of-the-art facilities. It was evident that no expense had been spared in ensuring guests' comfort. One of the highlights of my stay was the culinary experience at their restaurant. The range of dining options available left me spoiled for choice.The attentive waitstaff further enhanced the dining experience, providing personalized recommendations and exceptional service. Moreover, Hotel Parador Margarita's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility was commendable. The eco-friendly initiatives implemented throughout the hotel were evident, allowing guests to enjoy their peaceful retreat while knowing they were supporting a greener future.

Hotel Parador Margarita is a wonderfully friendly place to stay. It is central to all main attractions within San Cristobal de Las Casas, everything is within walking distance. The staff were very kind and efficient and all reception staff spoke excellent English. The grounds were very inviting and there were places to sit and relax in the gardens as well enjoy a meal. The breakfast choices were excellent, very healthy and well presented. The meals at the restaurant were tasty and inexpensive. I absolutely loved my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to feel safe and comfortable and be away from the noise and bustle of the streets.

I loved the large room upstairs with lovely veranda overlooking the delightful courtyard area. Not all rooms are as good as this one. Staff are delightful and we enjoyed the courtyard area and restaurant facilities for drinks and nibbles. Hotel had free water refill places that were easily accessed. Highly recommend this hotel and close to great restaurants and easy walk to centro area.

The price for the place overall is quite good. Well located close to the center, with a perfect size King room & beautiful garden, a nice hot shower, and overall clean & comfortable, we would return here again for our next stay in San Cris.

The main downside is the bad wifi. We wanted to watch a series at night before bedtime and we had no connection. Also, the flat TV is quite small and it made a buzzing, static sound on all channels (only cable TV available). These 2 issues are not serious enough to deter us from returning to stay here, but for those to whom this matters it should be considered.

This property checks all the boxes: quiet at night yet only 2 blocks from the pedestrian malls, beautiful courtyard with flowers and trees, super clean, it even passed my Swiss sisters inspection, friendly staff, decent breakfast, great 🛜

The only way to top this property would be either a microwave or an electric kettle or a small fridge in the room.

The property was gorgeous and well located. Really clean and up kept. This place is well located in San Cristobal and was some of the most genuine loving staff I’ve ever had.

Nothing. Everything was amazing from the food, service, and facilities.

This hotel is was the best value for money. A rustic setting as a former hacienda but it feels totally new and refreshed. The rooms are awesome, good size room as if your at home, large beds, soft pillows, hot shower and quiet with thick walls. Breakfast was great, my wife felt it was our best in all of Mexico, friendly staff with prompt service at a reasonable price. Location is great, 3 blocks to the city center, a 6 min walk along these narrow streets. The reception staff are the best. We arrived quiet early for check in, 4 hours early, and they turned around our room in an hour and allowed us to park our bags and then enter our room. Emma, on the front desk, printed out our flight boarding passes at no cost, booked taxis and our passage to the Airport at Tuxla Gutierrez. Customer service 10 out 10, service with a genuine smile and care for the customer.

No faults at all... simply a great hotel experience in each aspect.

The staff was incredible, helped with everything we needed - questions, tours in good prices, baggage storage (we checked out to go on a 2 day trip and then checked in again, the room was witing for us with the bags during the day we were gone without extra charge).. The room is big, clean, hot water in the shower, cold water available in the corridors, heat is optional if needed - we asked and got a heater for the room. There is a very nice garden between the rooms.

Wifi is weak in some parts of the room.

Very comfortable with a great price and extremely friendly staff. Once past the reception area, the grounds were very neatly trimmed and someone always seems to be picking up leaves from the lawn or sweeping/mopping the walkways. Breakfast restaurant is beautiful. Newly added but blends in nicely. There is a huge fireplace that hasn’t been used yet so either it’s that new, or they haven’t used it yet (which would be sad). The wait staff were always friendly and professional - even when it was packed, the coffee was flowing.

First impression- Coming in the front entrance the garden is very overgrown and needs trimming. Once past the reception area it’s beautiful. Room choice - the rooms between the front door and the reception area are very noisy in the morning when people are checking in and out and rolling their bags and the tile floor and are talking loudly.
