Hotel Anna Casparii

We had two very large twin rooms at the top of the hotel. The views from the front room were amazing. Our room had a large terrace which in the summer would have been great. Beds were comfortable and the room was heated well - no climate control just simply opening a window. Breakfast was excellent, every morning delicious fresh Dutch bread and orange juice. Location is right in the city centre, 2 minutes walk to the main shopping street.

The parking arrangements are not very obvious, it's up to guests to sort it out and I was told you could buy a day ticket at the ticket machine but it wasn't available when I tried to select one.

Unbelievable nice clean rooms. Great view of the inner harbor of Harlingen. As it was warm when I stayed, they opened the windows so a fresh wind could cool the room. Also a portable fan was available. I didn’t used it and I can tell you I hate heat. My room had a window straight above the bed. so nice to open it during the night and hear the birds singing in the early morning. Great breakfast. As I arrived late I didn’t use the restaurant. It was fully booked so should be fine as well.

Located on Noorderhaven, the hotel is wonderfully situated for all the sights of charming Harlingen. Outside tables meant that evening drinks watching the boats was really enjoyable. The large private terrace just outside our room with a couple of loungers and a small bistro table and chairs was an unexpected bonus - especially if the weather had been sunnier. A huge choice of cold meats and cheese supplemented the more typical breakfast. A large party of 40 meant that our dinner service was extremely slow, although we were offered (and accepted) free drinks in way of apology. We found the staff to be very efficient and friendly.

Our room was up two flights of steep stairs (typical of old Dutch houses) although we were offered help with our luggage. Our bathroom was quite small and dark.

Very good hotel in an excellent location in Harlingen, scenic and close to the centre, but still very quiet. There is a great restaurant / breakfast room and bar downstairs. My room was very comfortable. I particularly liked the coffee machine provided, the coffee was delicious.

I liked everything, but if I were to make a couple of suggestions it would be to have a small fridge in the room and also a normal light switch in the bathroom instead of an automatic movement-sensitive one, which became a little irritating.

A very nice hotel in the town centre, overlooking the canal. Staff were lovely, we were made to feel welcome & the large room was excellent, with a bath & shower. Relaxing seating outside for a drink. We ate in the restaurant & found the service & food to be very good, followed by a very good breakfast the following morning.

Breakfast was terrific, fresh and a large variety served in the main restaurant. Staff overall was great and very helpful. Street parking was available in front of the hotel.

Be aware that the stairs are the typical dutch steep and winding type and there was no elevator. It didn't bother us at all but might be difficult for some people.

The hotel is situated close to the ferry terminal to the islands. Internally the hotel is stylish, with a cosy bar area where great food was served. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The room was very comfortable.

Multiple corridors and stairs to the rooms

Good location to go from and to the Wadden ferry. Breakfast and dinner were great. And location the the shopping street is in walking distance. you can come by public transport and walk about 15 min.or park your car in front of hotel.

The only negative I can come up with is that my room was two floors up with stairs. for me no problem and they have rooms on the first floor .

The breakfast was SUPERB. Honestly the best breakfast we had in our whole 11 days in the NL, and it was on our last day, unfortunately! The staff was so so helpful and kind and patient (we were traveling with our one year old and three year old). One person, Sylvie (if I remember correctly?) was just so delightful. Also, the breakfast room/restaurant area is beautiful! Gorgeous original murals on the wall.

The shampoo/soap option in the bathrooms.

Centrally located. Good free breakfast. The restaurant/bar was also nice for lunch/dinner. Nice good options & shoping near by.

It wouid be nice to have a dedicated parking lot, but we were there on Sunday & it was free!
